    Hi Brian. A guy on UA-cam has made a review of the 078s, where he notes a lot of channeling when brewing espresso with it. Have you seen it on the 064s? Do you think there can be a difference between the 064s and 078s with regards to channeling?
    I'm really looking forward to my grinder - will be using it for 70-80% espresso just as you. And using it for kindoff traditional espresso, perhaps a bit more light.

    Hey Brian, great vid! :) I know it's a bit hard, but what would the grind-size range be in C40 clicks? Guessing should be around 20-23 if you're saying it's pretty fine?

    MORE GRINDER VIDEOS!! Haha. Jk.
    I didn’t back the sculptor, but I’ve been using ghost burrs for a while now, and I really like the flavor profile.
    Will you get turbo burrs?

    Does the 64S require seasoning? Seeing complaints about 78S requiring serious seasoning to be usable, but nothing on 64S. Can you confirm? Was it usable out of the box?

      64S feels fine without too much seasoning. Maybe a few lb will help, but the 64S espresso and brews are very colored by the burr profile and I do not think seasoning is a deal breaker for this style of presentation compared to 64/78/78S.

    I've hesitated for some time between this grinder and the Zerno Z1 but I ended up chosing the latter even if it's far more expensive, thins will be my final piece of equipment I buy for grinding (or I hope so lol).

    this is not releted to the video but: will you ever do a showcase of a modded la pavoni? i feel like there are not any in depth video about it and it is such a legendary machine that is a shame...

    I definetly feel the same way about aprils recipe. It is really good but at the same time I kinda feel like every coffee comes out almost the same when you extract lower. I want to brawl with those aromas and tastes not just slightly touch them... Give me my clear and high extraction sweet tasty unique pour over lol.

    The April Clogs every time with high density coffees. The original April filters are even worse than The kalitas.

      For some reason when I use kalitta 185 filter it always clogs up really badly while the 155 doesn't really

      Every flat bottom seems to clog

      Interesting! I have the opposite problem: Brewing with the commandante I need to go way finer than what Patrick communicated in his videos. Only for ethiopians which always build many fines I‘ve had to dial coarser than usual as the filter would clog, but still not as coarse as Patrick recommended. I find myself using about 23 clicks with a Comandante Mk4.

      @@fiendishshape This is so true, maybe my grinder is just not good enough lol

    • @Raditram
      @Raditram Рік тому

      @@timgerber5563 I found as the april brewer is designed to be easily used for repeatable recipes anything more than 2 pours and just a bit more fines would clog it. Also I do find If go a tad finer or have too much agitation it would heighten the bitterness a bit much, idk maybe I just like a weaker brew LMAO
