The Germans also couldn’t get past the Canadians as well. April 22nd Ypres was Canada’s baptism by fire as they had to cover the hole in the line while it being the first real combat scenario they faced since entering France. It was a desperate defence as small groups of Canadians died in rear guards to let the main bulk of the line to stabilize. If the Germans truly did commit thought. None of that would of mattered though. It was a lucky break. But it certainly was not an easy break. British had the mark series which had two types of geneders male and female… French had ft 17 small in size but very fast compared to the British one with only a single cannon and a machine gun. There other model was saint chommond with a heavy 75mm gun but it was hard to go through trenches as it was heavy so it was mainly used as a weapon. German had the a7v but they didn’t make any as they didn’t have enough material due to the blockage the British did
The Germans did make some A7V. First recorded tank battle in history was 1 british male tank taking on 3 A7V's after 2 British female tanks retreated. One A7V was knocked out before the other two left the field.

Man this first world war started it all with the most brutal way of killing a soldiers and civilians alike with tanks and machine guns ever known to man before the second World War happened
Well, that’s because the treaty of Versailles wasn’t a thing yet, and war war was a free for all, with chemical weapons and other cruel weapons
Yea a lot of soldiers died because of new technology and old tactics. It was so bad they dealed with machine guns by running straight at them
yeah no Geneva Suggestions back then

In my opinion, WW1 Weapons are some of the coolest in history.
Not the flamethrowers
Yes World War Two had some of the coolest but to me it was world war two
It’s cool until you gave to be at the reviving end of these weapons.😅
Weapons are cool only in media but not IRL when you're up against one.
@@Gielderst As someone who enjoys collecting and looking at antique weapons, I somewhat agree.
These weapons are primitive by today's standards, but still pretty damn lethal. Weapons may evolve but the human body doesn't evolve as quickly.
I mean the Lee Enfield rifles from the 19th century weren't taken out of roles until the 1990s.
next:weaponized stove
The human body doesn't evolve, but the body armor does. Soldiers during the WWI wore coats, pretty useless when getting shot.

The T90 is the most beautiful-looking war machine. It even looks like a terrifying monster!!
I think the same about the T-14 Armarta such a beautiful sleek looking machine yet menacing and terrifying in the same.

and the Flamethrower fell out of favor as it became a favorite target for snipers especially in WW2
Was useful for cleaning pillbox in the ww2 though.
The different weapons of World War I were also very interesting as well such as the m1918-08 smg
