Chi hasn't hooked me up with a discount code to share yet, hope they get back to me soon! Thanks for watching, first impressions video and range test video coming in the next few days, happy riding!
You got hooked up, I did not get any of those extras. I got battery and quick charger. I paid extra for charger but didn't get free one or the t - shirt. Still excited to try it! ThanKS for the video
54T, 430 phase amps, although i may need to bump that down to 400, had some cut out issues at low battery and full throttle. its a nice setup right? been considering new chain and sprocket, kinda getting annoyed with the noise of my non-oring but the power boost has been nice
@@JuicedJoyrides yeah i think i need to bump my phase amps down aswell when full throttle from low speed I’m experiencing cutouts so far the power feels great i think im going to put the 54 tooth sprocket on today aswell
So, when riding with 72v chi what is the % you should charge it at? And on the bms app. How does the work? How do you manage the app settings? Just wondering?
Very nice I would charge it to 80-90 max to prolong the cycle life. The 100% full charge is worse on it than the amps you charge at, unless it gets really hot at the high amp setting. Also, if you do opt to go to 100% and ride immediately it is not as bad on it as charging to 100% and letting it sit. You are right you should store at 50% charge. So you are going to sell this one and get the larger 51ah?
That 100% charge power feel is too addicting 😆, no intention to buy a bigger battery after feeling the range and weight gain from this set up… YET, although I’d love to test and create content with more battery setups.
That's highly inaccurate. You can charge a 72v system to 100% just fine and even leave it for a day. If you leave it for 2 days or long at 100% then that's a no go.qq
I think it’s just as water resistant as stock, however I’m not really the person to ask about that because it hasn’t even rained here since I bought this thing like six months ago
It's probably around $9k right now - thank you, it's great! I will do an update video soon showing all the mods kinda like the homepage video I have now, that one is just a bit out of date
@@JuicedJoyrides thanks for the reply... several years ago before you could buy these kinds of bikes I put a 72volt setup on a Mongoose dolomite bike... the fat tires sounded like a jet engine at 50 mph.... stopped riding it as it bounced quite a bit at speed and didn't want to get hurt... these new bikes look and perform very well... best of luck to you... its fun riding electric
I think it has two prongs, it is different then stock. I feel like they may change the connector type so you don’t accidentally plug the wrong charger into the battery and cause a serious problem.
How much would the battery be (60 volt ). Im trying to figure out how much I can sell it for to afford getting the 72 volt 40 something amp. I going to buy the sure ron and do what you did, but I plan on putting zero miles on the 60 volt and buy the 72 volt and have put on. Thanks for any help.
Please stop pronouncing Chi wrong. It's a reference to Chicago aka Chi town (shy town). My ears ache every time I hear you say it like it's a seed in a smoothie.

Smart getting the upgraded charger
It actually has a really annoying feature, will show in a future vid
Sweet. Love the Sur Ron, now it's really got some raaaaaange, Thanks.
Cool vid man, look forward to the test ride 👍
Thanks 🙏, coming soon!
Great content as always🤘🏻
Hey , I chose the one in the middle but it would not work, I had to use the farthest circle, but it fits more snug for me.
It’s fine to charge to 100% no matter what as long as it isn’t sitting 100% for more than a couple days it’s fine
Exactly, what I was thinking
What size sprocket do you have and how many phase amps are you running? I have the same setup as you btw.

Does the Chibattery itself have a 2 or 4 prong outlet connector? I noticed some batteries have 4. Wondering what difference it makes.
I think it has two prongs, it is different then stock. I feel like they may change the connector type so you don’t accidentally plug the wrong charger into the battery and cause a serious problem.
That connect that yoy taped up on the bike and no longer use, what is it used for normally?
Brake sensors maybe?
the charger is super cool i try now to find one from a different company

I think $800ish would be the most you’d get for stock battery
How do you install the egg rider
Emoto Bros made a really good video on it, search their YT channel
you should get another for your backpack

He pronounced it right it’s Chi like chai, chi battery is based on LA not Chicago so there no reference alike at all
