Saw the Tailgaters in DC a few times back in the day. What fun they were. Thanks for sharing
I saw The Tailgators and The Nervous Fellas at Graceland in Vancouver, BC around 1988. A fantastic gig.
Shake rattle and roll...greetings from poet chester new york and stamford ct...🧯🪂🎸🪕🥁
Saw these guys at FitzGerald's in Berwyn, IL circa '87. Never forgot the sauce these guys served up.
I was lucky to see them in Norway on a little Club called cruise cafe about 40 years ago .. it was packed and I remember Don Leady had a little camera and tok a pickture of the audience because his wife would never belive that he was that big in Norway
Saw the Tailgators in Seattle several times. They missed their friday show and rescheduled for sunday. The crowd was tiny maybe about a dozen people, but they played their behinds off. Near the end of the set, they took a break and didn't come back for a long time. I started noticing people in the audience going into a side room and I followed. In the room, the band was hanging out with everybody answering questions and signing stuff. They could have ended the show like that and everybody would've been happy, but they said that they were going back out for a few more songs. Real professionals
Not much footage of mr. Ferguson. He sure greased the bottom end of any song he played on!
I saw The Tailgaters a bunch of times when they came to Philadelphia. Man, we "Tore Up" the place! This video brings back great memories ... from what I can recall.
Keith Ferguson's bass playing builds a solid foundation, and really drives the music. He reminds me of Ronnie Lane (Faces) in that respect, two of my favorites. I love a LOUD bass, not something mixed into the background - up front and center!!
PICK UP THE DECK...I'M TORE UP..!!!!!!!
Great band!
This is awesome! Footage of them in their prime
I saw the band with Keith on a few occasions in Philadelphia at the old Dobb's. What a raucous time we had.
This is a treasure ❤😁🌞👍
The founder, lead guitar and vocals for the band is Don Leady and the drummer is Gary Mudcat Smith. Keith asked Don if he could join the band shortly after the Tail Gators were formed. Their first bass player moved to the East Coast after playing a few of their first gigs.
Thanks for the additional info. I have updated the description.
