Guys I really love the project and I’ve been a big fan of this for a while now. I think this will be a welcome fan game into the community. I don’t really have any criticisms from this gameplay. In fact I think this stays as true to half life as you can get with a mod. I do have a couple of suggestions though. 1: I think the zombies should have different clothing for each one unlike how half life 2 made every zombie wear the same thing. 2: you should have different foot patterns in the snow from the combine. Making it a little easier to track them but they should be able to track you better. 3: if an enemy is shot to the point were there below 25% health they should leave a blood trail In the snow. The less health they have the heavier the blood trail should be. 4: every half life game has its own sets of weapons I think you should stay true to half life 2’s weapons while at the same time adding in your own. Like how your adding the vortex to the gravity gun that’s really cool to me 5: water should do around 3-4 damage every 1-2 seconds outside and when you get out of the water it should do about 1-2 damage every 1-2 seconds for 5 seconds to simulate freezing. 6: add in some Easter eggs but nothing way to out there. 7: houndeyes in snow should blow snow around when the attack causing slight vision blur. 8: add in the H.E.V. helmet as a thing you can find for under water sections if you have any. 9: make regional damage more apparent like a shot to the foot shouldn’t do as much as a shot to the head( I know you already have that I’m just saying make it more apparent if it’s not apparent enough). 10: flares should melt snow around them. 11: ad in realistic fire like if something catches on fire the whole thing shouldn’t be on fire the fire should spread around it until it’s completely consumed in flames. 12: the deeper the snow the less fall damage you should take. 13: almost never use cutscenes like put a limit of 3-4 in the game because I think the most cutscenes half life has ever had was half life 2 ep2 and it only had 3 I believe maybe 4. 14: make the sprint and the flash light completely different uses I don’t understand why in half life 2 your stamina and flash light battery were the same bar. 15: get the GMans voice from the guy In hunt down the freeman. The only good thing was the gmans voice acting in that game and it was amazingly accurate to the game. I love what your doing and how your doing it. And in no way am I saying you have to do these to make the game good. I’m only saying that I think some of these should be added in. And some of them I actually think probably shouldn’t be added for it doesn’t feel half life. I hope you all have an amazing day.

This is the true new Half-Life game. Valve turned it's back on the series and now we have to pick up where they left off. To finish the series after 12 years of waiting. Great work guys, excited to see future updates.

I love the designs on the game really hope for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 to happen. But I just want to give you a few suggestions for the NPCs. Standard Zombies: 1. They should hide in the snow until the player appears, once the player appears. The Standard Zombie pops out and starts attacking you. 2. If the Standard Zombie is going to have shoes or not but skeleton feet, they should have different footstep sounds. 3. If the Host's body starts to die, the Headcrab will detach from the host's body. 4. If the Standard Zombie gets on fire, they will go to recover by going to the snow. 5. If the Host dies along with the Headcrab, the death sound of the Standard Zombie and Headcrab plays together. 6. If they killed an enemy like a citizen, they will use their chest cavity to eat like Half-Life, as you have seen a Headcrab using the host's claws and taking the meat out from the corpse and stuffing it into the host chest cavity. Once they finishing eating, the Host's body becomes stronger and be harder to kill a little. 7. At least some Female Zombies, just make it realistic. You don't really have too. 8. The Headcrab should make idle sounds along with the Standard Zombie idle sounds for example. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Headcrabs ʰᵉᵃᵈʰᵘᵐᵖᵉʳˢ: 1. You should feature 6 eyes on the Headcrab like Half-Life that used to appear. 2. If Headcrabs gets on fire, they will run away to the snow and hide inside to heal. 3. If the Headcrab starts to get on low Hp, they might run away and hide in the snow. 4. If the Headcrab gets shot off the host and remains alive, they either will run away, or attack you. 5. I thought of a idea that the Headcrabs should be able to latch onto NPCs besides killing and not latching onto them. In Half-life 2, Headcrabs kill NPCs by bitting them. Anyways if a Headcrab latches onto a NPC host. The player has to shot the Headcrab off from the host or they will turn into a Standard Zombie soon without the Player knowing. Sorry if I have spelling errors. I have bad grammar something.
Beautiful gameplay, and it does stay very true to the half life playstyle. The map is structured nicely, new, but its still familiar. Also the new mechanics of destroying walls and enemies hiding in snow are a nice touch to the overall elements of the gameplay as well. I know the game will continue to progress in development, but the only thing I will say is this: 1. The textures obviously should be enhanced and render a rundown appearance 2. The bright lighting is a nice change from the darker and more dimly lit half life games, but I would stick to the model of adding that overtone of darkness and obscurity for the most part. 3. The animations may need a little tweaking, notably the shotgun. After you shoot, it seems as if it hasn’t even been rechambered since the animation is so slight. But the other ones look awesome! 4. I feel like the player needs to enter a building in order to trigger any event from the enemy. I would look into adding a little bit more diversity such as enemies rushing out of buildings and taking positions. I would also incorporate reinforcements in some levels too. 5. Be sure to add a problem solving element to the levels. I think there is enjoyment in solving a problem or puzzle like we used to do in half life. Maybe in this level it could be connecting wires or a power source to fix the elevator as it was damaged during conflict. Overall awesome concept and gameplay, but these are just suggestions to aid the game in its development! I’m excited and hope to play a demo of this soon!
Half Life 6 ending A (Good Ending) : Gman evolves into nihilanth and fires advisors at you Ending B (Bad Ending) : You see Lamarr survived evolves into a gonarch and kills you Ending C (Secret Ending) : Gordon tames an advisor and destroys Combine
Gameplay is looking great! Though it seems like enemy fire is a bit difficult to dodge at the moment, consider reducing AI accuracy, or adding more cover; Other than that, good job, guys!

Niceeee
yeah there should be like 30% chance that a zombie is female
Beautiful gameplay, and it does stay very true to the half life playstyle. The map is structured nicely, new, but its still familiar. Also the new mechanics of destroying walls and enemies hiding in snow are a nice touch to the overall elements of the gameplay as well. I know the game will continue to progress in development, but the only thing I will say is this:
1. The textures obviously should be enhanced and render a rundown appearance
I would pay to see a day night system in project borealis.

Love every bit of this keep up the amazing work!!!
Everything feels on point!
Borea Alyph + Project Borealis = Half Life 6 confirmed
Half Life 6 ending A (Good Ending) : Gman evolves into nihilanth and fires advisors at you
Ending B (Bad Ending) : You see Lamarr survived evolves into a gonarch and kills you
Ending C (Secret Ending) : Gordon tames an advisor and destroys Combine
I'm a 100% pirate, and I promise you when this comes out I am not pirating this. Aight bet.
Loved the destructive wall, the headcrabs hiding in ambush. This has huge potential. Thank you, and we love You for your hard work.
Great music, great mechanics. Looking really good guys
soundtrack sounds more like Portal 2
Because the borealis ship is the aperture science work :D
Gameplay is looking great!
Though it seems like enemy fire is a bit difficult to dodge at the moment, consider reducing AI accuracy, or adding more cover;
Other than that, good job, guys!
I can’t wait for this to come out! I’m totally gonna play it!! It looks amazing. Please keep up the great work and don’t give up on it!!!
Amazing to see this map! Can Imagine the entire game in final version. Amazing work!
A aurora borealis!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen!?

The new tech looks so damn cool. I haven't been excited about this kind of stuff since the mid 2000s. This is ambitious and am so thankful you folks are doing this. I don't have a pc these days but I'll be keeping up.
Omg destructible environments too? Man this looks so awesome. You guys are doing a fantastic job.
This is just incredible.
Also, is there a way to make blood bleed into the snow?

it looks like just heavily improved "source" engine. Still, im happy to see any kind of half life continuation. Keep up the good work! :)
Nope it's unreal engine 4
I think that was what they were aiming for
Fuck it, if Valve ain’t gonna make it then other people can make it.
Snow looks really good. Well done guys.
KEEP! that music ,it gets in your head so much so after I watched this ,i was hearing it in my head 30mins later, keep it up guys !
Too much wub wub wub wub in the soundtrack, it sounds more like a tron type platformer than Half Life. Otherwise, everything else there looks amazing, i'll definitely play this
Unfortunately you have to accept that, Half Life 3 or Project Borealis will lead the story of Portal and Half life together. So the music genre of both will be played.
Borealis is a Ship from Aperture Science.
I disagree, it already sound's perfect with Half-Life.
Is the soundtrack from this video already released? I love it so much
Yes! ua-cam.com/video/Pnhe8q7Z1NQ/v-deo.html
This does put a smile on my face.
Просто офигенно! Продолжайте в том же духе! Вы молодцы!
The Shotgun model kinda looks like a mix of the Black Mesa shotgun and the Half-Life 2 shotgun. I like it a lot. Good job!
Holly golly shit, looks gorgeous.. FREEMAN!
Edit: Will the game have gore & dismemberment?
@TheSasGaming He wasn't asking you.
