2023 Perfect Watch Ratings, Casios, and honorable mentions

- 2023 was my first full year with this channel. During last year, only a few watches rose to the top with perfect 10/10 scores. Several other watches were nail-bitingly close. All the analog watches were either AliExpress or microbrands. This review looks at these watches and the Casios (some G-Shocks) I kept and the Casio where I said, "See ya later."
Check my online store for watches and other outdoor gear for sale showcased in prior reviews.

Great video and the watch list!
Much appreciated!
Agree with all you said about “see ya later” Casios, and also about the keepers. I have to get me a pro trek!
Absolutely go ProTrek. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the great summary of the year. Yeah, my Willard Homage on a Topic FKM is my cheapest and probably favorite watch. Thanks again!
It’s such a great value. Like you’ve mentioned, 20mm bracelet/strap means easy swaps further increase flexibility.
That whole category called Casio: I know that category! Beautiful watches, beautiful knives, beautiful photography!
Thank you. Rumor has it, you have a few Casios.
Hahah! I do. But nowhere near Greg Anderson 😂
@@WUDN-WatchUDontNeed Nobody own as many Casio's as he does... Except maybe Russel the Mad. 😅
@@johanvandersandt8904who’s this russel?! Now I have to check him out!😂 and then I’ll want to buy even more Casios…😅
Greg is my go to for models and functions of Casios.
Thanks for the very well-made video. Quite informative, with lots of cool watches. Liked & subscribed!
Thank you, welcome to the channel, and please share any ideas/comments.
Not often I totally agree with a reviewer but hey great video. Your narrative is definitely 10/10 .
I appreciate that!
Tim, thanks for a great comprehensive video.
Just to comment, you're making me doubt selling the GD350. I felt it was too big form my 7-inch wrist, but it has some of the best functions and I hac it with the negative display (and it's was the best negative display I have ever had in hand). Maybe I should just buy it again.
Best regards
You’re welcome. Thank you for sharing.
As someone who has no responsibility or ties to your finances at all…yes, you must buy it.
Seriously, it’s my ‘beefy’ G-Shock. Some of the features are uncommon (vibrate alert AND flash alert). The display is really good relatively speaking. I love the immediate access to the timer with the “C” pusher.
Casio W800H-1AV is the answer to the 'best Casio' question. For me, anyway
For the money, it might be the best option.
I have the AE-1200 alongside my G-Shocks and other watches, but I've put it in a SKXMOD stainless steel case with adapters and a high-quality leather strap.
It's not so affordable now, but for me it's now the greatest Casio in my small collection next to my Squares. But yes, with my almost 60 years old eyes i dig the concerns 🙂
And … wow … the Lorier is great, and the Wise phantastic.
You make a great point, the mods available to improve upon the standard Casio setup opens the door to premium configurations.
Great variety of watches! I also love Zelos 😊
Thanks for watching and have a great week.
That is a seriously respectable collection. You've got some really nice pieces in there. I just picked up a new Citizen Promaster Tough. It has quickly become my favorite Field Watch. Using your metrics I'd judge this one a 10!
Thank you for compliment on the watches. The Citizen ProMaster series is top! I just looked it up and I really like the design and of course is quality through and through! Take Care Michael.
The thing with Casios is that they have SOOOOOOO many different styles and functions and so many different versions out there. If none of these work just keep looking ...
There are books and catalogues listing and showing all the different types.
Very true.
These are all phenomenal watches! I think my favorite there is either the Hexmariner or the Lorier of the "almost 10/10" watches and we haven't even gotten to the winners yet haha! You reaped a bloody toll on the Casio's lol... For good reason though. Some watches you gel with and other you don't. Those that you chose are all excellent. Especially the Greyman haha... But I'm being biased... But that Grunt of yours is just amazing! Love that Wise of yours as well! The Zelos and the San Martin is up there too! by the way Bro, your photography skills are on point! These shots look beautiful! Hope you have a great week bro! 💪💪
Thank you Johan. After one year of UA-cam, I'm seeing first hand collection overload. I should probably use this list as a the starting point for a core collection. A purge is on the verge.
@@Realidealgear I can understand that. After all, you can only wear one or two at a time. You start to develop favorites and slowly over time you tend to favor some over others and the rest are just lying there. Those watches have been bought and paid for but they add no value to your life. First world problems I guess haha! Shows you how blessed we are! Trimming the fat is necessary some times. It narrows it down to what we really need or like. Take care my friend and be well!
Part of my reticence to rid myself of some of the watches are for comparison purposes, uniques qualities. For example, as of today, I have one Seiko (Samurai)...just sold the SRPD85. I'm also considering whether or not I should keep a Seiko at all if its only as ballast for future comparisons.
The heart of the problem...is the problem of the heart. God has blessed me beyond what I deserve and that's not hyperbole.
@@Realidealgear He will show you the way Brother! I hear you man, the heart is a funny thing. Take some time to think about it and pray about it. If it was me however I would hold on to the Seiko for a bit longer. Its a great watch and their prices have risen sharply. Once gone it can never be undone. Have a fantastic day Tim!
Great watches❤
Thank you. Have a great week!
Love the happy music.
Who is it
Old tune…
“What do you mean you lost your dog.”
The Wise is dangerous, I can’t stop starting at it while driving. Is just the most beautiful out there. Great accuracy and lume too.
Best looking microbrand I’ve seen out there
Great video. What else can I say?
Thank you. Enough said 😉
For somebody with so many negative things to say about Casio watches you sure own a lot of them.
I do like them. I tend to go off on particular models. Thanks for watching and have a great week!
Lol most people don't care about the time on a watch no more they have a cellphone it's more of just getting a nice looking watch for the looks
Good point.
Just I case I wanted to buy the ipos do you have a link? Thanks
Here ya go...
