Time to sell the watches with no nostalgia attached to them and upgrade. Watches are meant to be worn.
Watches are meant to do whatever you like with them.
@@michaeljordan6008 Don't confuse watches with your mum
@@CaerEsthar - Easy there snowflake.
@@CaerEsthar Now that’s funny.
Wrist check- Omega Railmaster Silver Brushed Dial. Certina is a beautiful underrated watch!
I don’t know if it’s because you’ve spent time with Adrian Barker but I hear the same flow in your voice 😅
It’s very weird right lol 😂
It’s the Adrian Barker/Jeremy Clarksonesque pause.
It really gets on my (…a thousand and one, a thousand and two…) tits. 🤪
A bit of rip off ish 😅
So annoying... a good example at 8:25... 🙄
It's excruciating...
Comes across very "constructed" and overly-intentional.
Wrist check: Hamilton khaki Murph 38.
Haven’t worn anything else since getting it for Christmas
Wearing my Citizen Eco-Drive 365 BN1014-55E today. I sell anything I don't wear and try to keep the collection small and focused to watches I wear and enjoy all of the time. It's takes a bit of effort to just buy watches you really like! (I'm in save mode at the moment)
Wrist check- I’m sporting the Casio Databank
I have the same problem, can't push my self the sell certain watches that I don't wear 🤔
I am currently wearing my Vertex M100A on Khaki 2 peice strap. I've had it for 6 months, and I still keep going back to it 😊
Keep up the great content 👏 👍
Nice one Harrison, love the passion and total honesty ! Keep it up 😊
Thank you!
Wrist check - Certina DS Action Diver (discovered your channel mainly from your bi-metal certina review) and followed you from there on. Been a year since I own and daily wear my certina and it's still honey moon everyday, I got it in black though and put a milanese mesh on it, which makes it look STUNNING.
Great video mate! I feel exactly the same way about my collecting. Honestly though I never felt the plastic Swatch watch issues appealing.
Tend to be wearing my less expensive watches more these days….currently rocking my Seiko 5 midi…..does the job 👍
wearing my Tudor royal 41mm blue dial. im recently loving the 70s look. I also have the prx light blue dial automatic 40mm, which is the cheapest but the best looking watch I've had so far
Love this video! Seems like all the watch videos are about buying new pieces. Truth is, every collector has a few pieces they no longer wear. Sometimes, it comes down to the wearing experience!
So true!
No worries, you're not alone, I've got 5x various Alpinist I don't wear anymore for exemple, since I'm wearing rather my luxurious pieces instead, and I can't come to the idea to let them go...Not even talking about the microbrands and Casio, I'm wearing ~6 high end and leaving about 25 on the bench.
I recently changed my Alpinist strap to a Grand Seiko strap and crocodile vs calf made a massive change. Highly recommend changing straps and the watch looks and feels so much better.
I relate to this issue so much, always been into watches but started buying them actively since last year and the feeling that i have so many watches but i only wear 2-3 of those was not a pleasant one, sold most of them or passed them over to family members now i can easily enjoy the hobby with my 2 watch collection and be mindful of the next purchase...
Today on my Wrist is the -Omega de Ville America- from 1987.A Vintage Beautyful.
Wearing my Hamilton Khaki Pilot Day-Date Automatic. Love the look and it’s my weekend watch. I have fallen out of love with my Apple and Garmin smart watches. Was feeling like they trapped me; not allowing me to express myself with mechanical watches.
Nomos Orion Datum Weiss (38mm) today , now discontinued.
Most collectors have buyers remorse at some time.
Wrist check - Omega Globemaster, steel / Sedna gold. My favourite watch !
Wrist Check: Marathon USMC Edition GSAR on the bracelet.
Wearing a Tudor BB58 as I watch. Good video.
you have absolutely nailed it! Im exactly in the same boat, have got watches ive bought mostly on hype and never wear them, kept in a drawer, i want to sell them but if I do i regret it. I actually wear my garmin more than any other watch and i dont mind the scratches or knocks.
ive got a brand new unworn pelagos 42mm LHD in the draw and dont want to wear it as its too nice to get scratched. im selling it now for a loss but I will miss it.
Wrist check. JLC grand reverso with blue canvas strap- transforms the watch. Have a few back of the safe watches, with one being a vintage Zenith triple calendar. Probably the watch with the most gorgeous aesthetics but it’s a dress watch and I’m a sports guy. Was about to pull the trigger on a Vacheron 56 complete calendar this week, but thinking about my Zenith made me realise the 56 wouldn’t get much wrist time so I put a line through what would have been a very expensive lesson.
It's midnight, I'm about to go to sleep, so I'm wearing the Marathon Arctic GSAR - unbeatable illumination from tritium.
Wrist Check- Certina DS Action Diver Titanium, 38mm.
I bought if before christmas and couldn't be any happier with it. I already had 3-4 nice watches but this has to be my favourite.
Insane wearability (I really wanted a compact diver) and Am really glad I got this one.
Super light, I'm a fan of titanium, and ridiculously accurate. I dont think it has lost ONE SECOND in a full week of wearing it, even when I workout.
Your shots outdoors are really cool
Thanks mate, appreciate that. I post more of the travel stuff on my personal account @harrisonbrownslife !
Wrist check, Omega Seamaster 300m NTTD, beautiful, but really hard to tell the time on in certain low light.
Currently sporting my CW green Bel Canto👍
Lovely watches, i can't afford one at the moment, i'm hoping to buy a Seiko Prospex Speedtimer later this year
I can totally relate to the OCD when it comes to scratches!
What brand is the shirt you are wearing it would look mint with my Hamilton khaki. I have subscribed
Wrist Check : G-Shock G-Steel GSTS100G-1B - This is my camping beater that is all black with a traditional strap conversion from Jays and Kays, and a black on black nato. Such a stealthy piece. Matches my mood today.
I’m wearing the Tudor GMT opaline dial: opened it on Xmas day & I’ve not worn another watch since.
Wrist check wearing my Seiko SNE573, this watch can easily be my only watch as I tend grab it more than the rest.
I've been flicking between my Grand Seiko Snowflake and more rugged G-Shock MRG-B2000B
More than enough for me, but I have others which I rotate during the year 😊
I've been doing the same. Selling watches I don't wear and trying to get my collection down and wearable. Sold two to replace with one etc. get a new watch but also reduce the collection.
Wearing a Lorier Falcon 3
Wrist check STOWA marine classic 40 roman with top grade movement. Love at first sight. I wear it all day every day
I loved the honesty in this video, can be seen by some as a vulnerability on YT
Honesty is the best policy! Cheers mate
Hi! Where can I get your bracelet ?? It's super cool !!!
I have the Pacific ocean (yellow and black) Blancpain, I agree the strap makes it sit high and look a bit ungainly on the wrist. However nothing looks big on my wrist after wearing my new Casio MRG B2000 😂, you will never complain about watch thickness again.
I have my Oris 65 heritage diver that I love....and wouldn't go lower than that personally. Maybe a swatch for fun or a micro brand like farer or CW maybe...!
I have the green and gold certina in 38mm and it's a great watch.
I'm waiting for Certina to release DS Action Diver in white dial with blue/green bezel someday, I think it would look sick, preferably in 38mm. Really love the model, the specs and how it fits on the wrist, they just need to release a white version.
Wearing a Bell & Ross BR-03. My favorite all around, wear anywhere watch.
Harrison, the Certina DS2 Turning Bezel is a really nice watch too. Albeit on the NATO, not the Bracelet.
Wristcheck: Christopher Ward C60 Trident 600m
I think I unterstand the problem. I own too many watches and there are some of them without wristtime. Especially the two bioceramic ones. 🤣
Wrist Check:- G-SHOCK MRG-B5000D-1DR usually alternate between that and the Kermit Sub-Date with a load of fillers that like yourself I don’t wear much, there’s my childhood nostalgia collection which I’d never sell but also not fit my 8-inch wrist and there’s a collection where there’s no point in selling or I couldn’t and sadly they’re just boxed up in the back of a cupboard.
Today Harrison I'm wearing my JLC Reverso Classic Duoface. I'm feeling rough so it's on to cheer me up.
Lovely!! I’m also feeling rough after Scotlands rugby result. We deserved the win!!
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial bloody French 🤣
I recently traded a Tudor Pelagos FXD, Tudor Pelagos 42 black, and Omega SMP 300 for getting a 126600 SD43. Those 3 watches were getting zero wear time alongside a 124060 Submariner. The SD43 has been worn every day now since downsizing. I am not regretful for downsizing to a 2 watch collection. Easier to choose my daily, and they both get worn.
0:25 - Soooo…you’re saying I’m part of the top 18%?! I’m part of the elite?! Noice! 😂
On my wrist seiko presage 60‘s style in white and gold👍🏻😍
I wear my Breitling Blackbird with big date.
I feel you problem, I have 9 watches in my collection but in the moment it always comes to the same 3-5 watches. Mostly I wear my Panerai and my breitling sometimes I wear my Tudor black bay and my 2 sinn watches and close to never i wear my citizen and my 2 g shocks. Maybe it’s about quality and feeling and maybe I need to reduce my collection to 5
Wrist Check - Tudor Royal 41 with the black dial 🔥
G-Shock x Hodinkee x Online Ceramics GA5600, will also prob switch to Tudor Black Bay Pro on a black and yellow nato later on. One I kind of don't wear anymore is a blue dial automatic PRX, can't put my finger on it but I just don't wear it.
Having a travel story or event attached to a watch is important to me too.
I adore Cerina, but totally with you on thr fact I hate pvd on any watch
I see your video and I have on my wrist U-Boat darkmoon bronze 💪👏👏👍❤️
Good choice!
I love all of those ewatches, with the exception of the Swatch Blancpain, for some reason that never connected with me. That Cerina is really gorgeous. It is weird that brand has never really caught on over here in the US. I'm a big "wear and dressy diver with a suit" kind of guy and that watch would be perfect for that.
Wear the GS dude, if you're not going to sell it don't worry about scratches and dings. That watch will be around long after you're pushing up daisy's so why let someone else scratch it up. Put your mark on it, enjoy it, it's a watch not a faberge egg.
You definitely love white dial watches 😊. Keep the Omega SM white dial, I have the black dial.
Wrist check: Timex expedition with a cream dial and green strap
The fact that not all of your watches are set to 10:09 in your b-rolls is surprisingly appreciable
The grand Seiko on a leather band would be amazing. Don’t give up on it.
Haha I could never, maybe having a special occasion watch isn’t a bad thing, makes it more special at the time
The only watch that I own sitting in the box and not where is the IWC chronograph, the only reason that I’m not gonna sell that watch is only because this is the first luxury watch, which bought it with my own hard earn money. I send it back to the dealers twice within 3 years, and I lost the love of it completely after I land my hand on the Tudor Chronograph…
We have the same CW12,i guess it's the most pop one.
IMO,it's 8x better than a prx.
Wrist check - Casio World Time AE1200WH 🤟🏻
Wearing my khaki field bronze on a black/gilt stripe nato 😍
Perfect 👌 I love military watches 🔥
My moon watch collects dust. When you have more than a few watches you will tend to forget to wing the speedy. Also it not being everyday water resistance makes it where more vintage be careful ish
Wrist-check: Omega seamaster railmaster, black dial.
Mr Jones "The Silent Thief". It's simply too big. I've contacted a few different watchmakers to try and refit it to a smaller case but they just can't be bothered.
So I have it propped up on my desk on a little stand like a tiny clock.
Put that Certina on a brown leather strap and you will love it bro!
Don't sell the Seiko Snoopy bro, it represents cool, you'll miss it. Rocking my Certina PH200 reissue on a suede gray strap.
However! 😂 good content 👍🏻
That Certina sort of talks to me. It is gorgeous, without being too shouty.
Certina are doing amazing things atm!
Three watch collection from your set is the Hamilton, Tudor and Grand Seiko.
Wrist check: Nomos Club Campus Deep Pink in 36mm
Wrist check: my guilty pleasure, a Tissot V8 Swissmatic white dial. I shouldn’t like a watch with a disposable movement as much as I do……😀
I sold all my non wearers and have retained a bb58, longines conquest 39, seiko flighty and 3 x g-shocks. The only watch I really regret selling is my maurice lacroix aikon 39 charcoal dial. That was a brilliant piece.
How many watches do you have?
Wearing the Certina DS PH200M Hesalit version, it’s more neo-vintage ;)
My Lorier Falcon II is on my wrist tonight.
What ever happened to your Furlan Marri?
Love your Videos. Keep going!
Wrist check- A Lange & Söhne Saxonia 105.021
What do you think about wearing Watches smaller than 36mm?
5:34 What jacket?
Wristwatch check: Seiko Turtle black. Regards from Madrid
The humble Seiko 5 is on my wrist.
That's why I only get homage watches. I don't have to where them long. I don't have to sell them.
Each one is like a little vacation on the wrist and....each one is a souvenir.
I only buy for legacy, an iconic piece from each brand for a reason or a purpose, although I’ve been tempted for the hype (yeah you ridiculous Daytona) I’ve resisted and stayed true: buy for life
Wrist check - ~1950 IWC Cal. 89 The one on my profile picture😍
Omega Seamaster Pro Bond era, black... 41mm automatic
My daily wear is my PRX in ice blue. My want is the CW Twelve Ti with the purple/black dial.
I used to collect Oris. I loved them so much. But I started buying different "better" (ouch!) brands. They had to go. All sold now. Only regret selling one. But I wouldn't buy it back. They served me well. But it was, .... literally time!!!
Wore/wearing my nodus avalon dive watch
Christopher Ward The Twelve with Basalt Grey dial
Guys i am hesitating to buy a breitling chronomat 40. U guys think that is has a comparable kaliber with a tudor black bay. (Personally dont care about the gmt)
Wrist check: Omega Planet Ocean (39.5mm). // What is up with Hamilton's perverse fascination with "khaki" ??
I also fret over watches I love, but barely wear. Similarly, my wife has a lot more jewelry than I have watches, much of which she rarely wears, but loves. Doesn’t bother her…🤔
14:06 Wrist check, '67 Omega Constellation. (Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified w/Date) not sure all necessary?
((MY first video viewing)) 14:06
6:28 - Let’s be honest with each other…I’ll concede that you love Tissot & will never take that away; however I truly believe that you regret the green dial is because you fell into the hole like everyone else with the “flavor of the month” color variation. If next few years Rolex rolls out an anniversary green dial (not saying that it will happen) & green become the new hype again; I guarantee you will put that green PRX back on your wrist. 😜
