Super clean 80 makes me miss mine! One thing I would suggest is get some Unilug two up battery terminals will clean up the wiring on top of the battery and they have nice little covers too.
Still think a emu wing side window where you have the fridge would be a good addition And keep an eye on market place for a rear bar save some dollars they pop up from time to time
Frantz filters are simple, yet very effective. I know an old diesel fitter that wouldn’t use anything else. He has stories of people with 100,000 km’s between oil changes and the oil looking brand new. Back in the day, dunny paper was used as the filter medium, which made it popular in the bush. They have a proprietary filter now, but arguably just fancy dunny paper. Not a conspiracy theorist, but car manufacturers probably didn’t like the longevity they added to engines.
Awesome video guy's. Definitely needs a set of diff locker's. Ul never look back.. i know people that would rather lockers than a winch. Haha. They swear by them and reckon they hardly get stuck or need to winch.
Thanks heaps mate! We don’t know how crazy hard we will wheel it, we’ve grown pretty attached and Think it would be a real shame to flog the crap out of it seeing as though it’s been kept so well.
Looks mint. But, I would consider the consequences of the winch & spotties covering much of radiator & grille area. Efficient cooling is everything. Good luck !
Hey mate, we are about to buy a companion hotty off Outback equipment, we’ve had two Joolca hot water systems in the past and they have given us trouble both times
I’d look at getting an intercooler and egt gauge you’ll be surprised how how quick the temp gets up non intercooled especially if you’re towing or have a bit of weight in it
yeh my bad I read the title as if you were ditching the build “the end of it” because of the problems as in catastrophic car issue and abandoning the project haha alllll good
Do yourself a solid and have the big end and main bearings replaced in the engine and she will be good for another 200k Thats all i ever did to mine and she went forever
Well thanks for watching in the past mate! Unfortunately in order to create videos full time for people to watch we need to earn money…you know…to live..and pay our bills…and feed our kids n all 😂
Epic build guys, favourite one I’ve watched for a long time, simple and not over the top, realistic. Loved it.
Thanks heaps mate! Really appreciate it.
Are you by chance Trevor handy the Ironman?
thats the dream roof setup no lie
Real good man good work
"80' looks amazing guys!!! Love it and safe travels!!
So good Adam,
Thank you for sharing!
I thought from the thumbnail it was over.
It is mate, the build is done, now we get to enjoy it 😍
How good is the 80 looking. Sez must be loving it 🤙😀
Your 80 was parked beside my ranger at the Cleveland caravan show. Awesome looking car. You’ve done well 👌
Hell of a build that winch and bar combo looks awesome
@@brentwhitney9725 thanks mate! We couldn’t be happier with them and that winch looks the goods 😍
That's a power of work and money with more to come but it does look like it has muscles. So good you can do the tools.
Thanks heaps mate !

Looking really nice, be interesting to see what the whole car weighs in at after the rear bar is on with full Jerry's and the spare on also..
We will put numbers up once it’s all done for sure

Those frantz oil filter kits are quite the upgrade according to their website.
Yeah I have been
On their website. They look good
Nice set-up, aomeone needs to do a walk through of jase shed/toys 😮
Good to see slinky customs is still kicking it. Created some crazy shit with him
Haha yes he has a lot of cool toys that’s for sure!
Yeah Sam is busy as mate and I can see why. They are a great product and great fella !
It would be interesting to see weight before and weight after you've finished.GVM
Ain't no one got time for that - Every modded cruiser owner , EVER.
Great 80 guys. Its mint
What engines it it?

Totally agree with you, and I
Have spare dunny roll filters in the shed now haha. Even the fuel filter is dunny roll 😂

Need to do a underbody clean and a rust proof
Yup 100% agree. Just got to get money together again haha
Led headlights I found great addition to my 80
And it is not expensive
Sez likes the old school lights in the beast haha
I had same kill switch on my old hilux.
Haha pretty cool hey !
Very neat and clean 80 . Where did you source that bonnet protector mate thanks 😊
Preventative maintenance tip no1 put the oil cooler back in!
I’ll be doing it a different way to that
Not bad 🎉
Cheers !
Sick 🤙
Nice build mate,
I would be suggest to jack car off that slider and determine the flex to prevent potentially crushing that filter housing.
I reckon they will be sweet mate, they are strong as houses
looks sik, think i might start looking for an 80 myself😂
We love ours mate! Great fun cruising in an older car haha
Looks mint. But, I would consider the consequences of the winch & spotties covering much of radiator & grille area. Efficient cooling is everything. Good luck !
Cheers mate, I have been assured by the fabricator of the bar they have never had dramas
How do you get into the rooftop tent if the awning is setup
Rooftop has rear and side access which is awesome, Campboss also do an awning with a zipper in the back so you can enter the roof top from the rear 👌🏻
It’s not a v6 mate it’s a straight 6
Haha I know I know..I openly admit I’m not great when it comes to cars
@@_OuterLine you know how to make them look good
Jesus mate.. the motor is the reason this 80 would’ve cost you an arm and a leg
Need to relocate the power box to the winch
Nah we like it where it is 👌🏻
Mega 😊
I'd be interested to see that motor... I've never heard of a V6, 80 series.... 🤷
Haha V6..Straight 6 you know what I mean, I’m not great with cars 😂
Keen to see what tinny u will run with this setup nun the less the 80 is a marster piece
Haha so are we! Something cheap and nasty to start off mate haha
Have you got a Hotwater unit in the Cruiser ? For showers etc
Hey mate, we are about to buy a companion hotty off Outback equipment, we’ve had two Joolca hot water systems in the past and they have given us trouble both times
But why that is my question, but why ,do you need all that to pull your boat to the boat ramp?
I’m confused?
I thought you had to put an earth lead from the 4th bolt that's under the bottom of the winch motor.
Spot on mate, it was hooked up I just didn’t film it.
I’d look at getting an intercooler and egt gauge you’ll be surprised how how quick the temp gets up non intercooled especially if you’re towing or have a bit of weight in it
Thanks heaps mate! Yeah I was chatting to a bloke the other day, defs on the cards once we get the funds back up.
Did you make a point of having the number of your house pop up heaps through this video? 80 baby!
Hahaha no! Thats gold 😂😂😂
The title was a bit click baity, no?
Not really? There were problems…and it’s the end of the 80 build?
yeh my bad I read the title as if you were ditching the build “the end of it” because of the problems as in catastrophic car issue and abandoning the project haha alllll good
Do yourself a solid and have the big end and main bearings replaced in the engine and she will be good for another 200k
Thats all i ever did to mine and she went forever
Yeah mate will be for sure when
We get the funds back up! A Few people have said this now
@@_OuterLine Goodo, yeh my old one is still going must have nearly 700k on it by now, They are such a good car and yours looks mint btw
Wil never in my life let somebody cut my cars fender to fit a snorkel would rather go without
Yup it’s painful to watch haha !
Oh dear ! Your gonna get some flak for saying it's a v6
Slider mount design is crap and the open design will let mud and rocks spray up the doors . Other then that it looks good.
Thanks mate !
hi mate i dont like the winch rope going under the front bar .if you hit rocks or the like it may cut it .get it up higher
Agreed and will change it when we get the thinner fairlead
You have a 200 series don’t you?
Yes we do
Please don't do the 70 series bonnet she looks sweet as is
Ohhhh I dunno, those bonnets look bloody awesome on an 80 haha
🫣 old is gold
😍🤝🤝
There not recovery points they are transport tie down points
Hey mate, if you are referring to the points on the Slinky Customs bar then they are rated recovery points. Not just there for looks 👌🏻
wow, the last time i watched this channel we were catchingb fish, now im watching a merch and advertising channel, no thanks, unsubscribing
Well thanks for watching in the past mate! Unfortunately in order to create videos full time for people to watch we need to earn money…you know…to live..and pay our bills…and feed our kids n all 😂
@@_OuterLine Good luck guys, very unfortunate
