I actually fast forwarded my way through those subplots and it did not make any difference. In fact, I'm glad I skipped them.
MoR is by far the BEST recap channel on youtube. this season was a roller coaster with many many side plots which can be hard to explain. but MoR did it perfectly! always recommending this channel to my friends who are behind on seasons. keep it up MoR!!!
Despite the lack of subtlety with political messaging, I think the plan Sage cooked up is one big warning on how easily the public can get divided, polarized, radicalized and how everything can very well be manipulated.
And we’re really one misstep away from complete turmoil. I felt like I was watching a real script of how the US is going right now

@@Sasha-vb3mh its definitely something you can see, but its just important that in this age, wherever you are in the world, you never settle with the information you are provided with, but rather look beyond it and critically think
The show was always shitting on both sides, rightwingers just lose their shit over it now because their real life is becoming more and more unhinged -> the show does not even need to do anything special to laugh at them.
@@CarKiller92 Granted, but again, I think while some scenes really do shed light on the politics in the US rn (good example being Firecracker talking about giving nutjobs purpose with her podcasts at the conspiracy convention), it is just so hard to miss what they are talking about which I find to be kinda stupid. I think what the Boys could definitely try doing is be more subtle with it. I mean ffs "make America super", a toddler cant miss that. I think subtlety adds nuance to a satire's take on something.

It’s gonna be really depressing when you realize they’re gonna adapt The Virus Arc and ending it with Butcher killing The Boys. But considering the show has taken several liberties of deviating the source material, let’s hope for changes for the better because we’re in the Endgame now.
Hopefully in the end billy doesn't kill the boys and it ends a bit different I just want butcher to kill honelander then a tearful farewell to the boys and he dies too somehow.
I think a good end would be Butcher gets killed by the kid in front of homelander or after he almost kills homelander so hl can see his son "follow him" but then disappear from guilt so homelander is still just alone or dies alone
The source material is fucking awful trash so its a good thing they took liberties with it.

I think the only way they can finish it is not chicken out and have Butcher kill all the Supes in the world. Something like GoT with the White Walkers threat but them actually being a threat and killing everyone.

7:25 Kinda weird the SA was used as comedy when in the first season it was used as an important turning point for Starlight.
To be honest, if you look back on it, the show’s always kind of had this issue:
- In Season 1, that senator currently serving as Homelander’s Puppet King was the victim of the same “trick” Hughie was at the end of this season at the hands of a different shape-shifter, and Stillwell used that to blackmail him.
- Also in Season 1, the Deep’s assault by that loony fan was treated more as “karma” for him being a reprehensible predator, and it didn’t seem to affect him in any way.
- Season 3 had that irritating Russian mob boss who Frenchie used to work for and had relations with, and it’s never touched on that their prior “dynamic” was likely less than consensual on Frenchie’s part.
- And finally, there’s Homelander and Stillwell’s relationship back in season 1. The final episode of The Boys: Diabolical HEAVILY implied that their “relationship” didn’t begin as consensual on Homelander’s part and likely began when the latter was under age. Yet Season 1 didn’t treat their relationship as nasty because of THAT particularly disturbing detail but more so because of their “gross” sex life. If anything, speaking PURELY in the context of their “relationship” and none of their actions outside of it, the show seemed to always portray Homelander as being the more toxic one in their dynamic.

I think Cate said for Frenchie to get in the van or she manipulated his memories thus making him believe he works for Homelander and Vought.
I honestly didn’t mind Butcher killing Neuman in the finale. What exactly would she have brought to the table at that point that mattered? She wasn’t nearly as strong as Homelander. It wasn’t worth the risk of having to constantly look over your shoulder in the future; she was a liability to the team either way.
It’s no different than in the Angel series finale when Angel had Lorne kill Lindsey because he “wasn’t part of the solution, and he never would be.”
But yeah, Butcher going for full-on Supe Genocide is reprehensible and inexcusable. Although him having “made the choice on his own” was a bit undermined throughout the season by the Kessler hallucination consistently tormenting him into submitting and even (implicitly) worsening the cancer effects to weaken him further.
I mean the comics were bad and all, but at least comic Butcher eventually made that reprehensible decision with a clear head and of his own free will.

I don’t think she was anything other than his mind’s choice. No different than when you pretend to talk to a love one who has passed. Because unlike Kessler he knows and understands and processes that Becka died. I just think he loves her so much and doesn’t want to live without her that he chooses to see her still there.
Whereas Kessler isn’t a choice until the end of the season.

So, maybe Butcher and the little had cancer when they took the compound-V? And the big tentacles that come out is actually super cancer. His cancer also got compound-V too and the thing that came out of his chest and killed everyone, is the super cancer. He can "communicate" with it and it takes the form of his old friend when he talks to it. It makes sense that Butcher would have lung cancer bc he smokes like a chimney, so the super thing came out of his chest. the little girl (Newman's daughter), has a super virus or infection that came out of her mouth (from where her wisdom teeth are). When her mom gave her the compound-V, her wisdom teeth had infection behind/under/in them. That infection got super powers and she is able to control or work with it. What do y'all think? Am I reaching, or does this make sense?
