Hmmmm is there like a UV-protection product (coat, spray, powder) one could use to minimise the sun damage on clear resin? Because that's what this mostly is, right? Like a sunblock to your art! But to be honest I don't think the yellowing changes the look of these pieces that much - they don't look murky or foggy, you can still see the flowers through the resin really well and everything is tiptop crisp, just slightly faded. I would be okay with that, they're still gorgeous!
Most of the yellowing with resin happens when you have the piece out in full sun. If you’re storing them in a box or they’re displayed out of direct sunlight they should yellow a lot less!
@Eva Rose @Eva Rose Hello & Yes I agree, I don't resin many paintings but enough to have legitimate concerns. I recently resined a painting I already sold. The resin was art resin and I hadn't opened it but it was over a year old. This bottle actually didn't have the warning about fading ect and I uses it trying to get it done before the buyers left the state. It came out so yellowed, I'm just beyond bummed out 😓 I sanded it far as I could and then used my other resin I was very proud of this peice and have been trying workarounds but it's time I contacted the buyers who have left & Describe the damage, cancel the framer ect. 😭 I know it's ultimately my fault and I learned a hard lesson one of those "of All the paintings to go wrong" argh 😤
I hadn't seen your videos in a while 🥲 didn't know you were done with resin completely. I've seen some of your more recent stuff on Instagram tho and I can't wait to start watching those videos 🥰
Hello. Is there anyway you can remove the yellow on it? I brought a resin necklace as a gift but its already yellowing when it arrived and I only have 4 days left before giving it to her. Any advice?
Thankyou for posting your videos. I have been thinking about trying this. I want to make a gift for my sister. Her daughter passed away and I would like to make something with resin to give in memory of her daughter. Flowers, photo ect. Any advice you can give me would be wonderful.
They are amazing 😻 I enjoyed it a lot .You are so beautiful I love ❤️ you in the way you are acting is so attractive,You husband is so lucky that have you as his wife! Thanks 🙏
Do you have what brand of resin you used for each of these pieces? Have you ever dipped a flower in wax, then put in resin and see what it lookediked 1 year later?
And that's why all pieces we sell have to have a disclaimer that says ALL resin yellows over time, along with instructions to treat it like a Vampire or Gremlins.
It's not because candy is made of sugar, the food coloring they use in them aren't artist grade, they'll fade much much much faster than pigments that have chemicals in them that fight against the processes of color fading from light exposure. It's like making a watercolor painting using food coloring and expecting it to last for decades. And the sugar crystals might yellow overtime, so the bright white candies might end up looking like ivory overtime. That's why people generally avoid using food in art projects.
She mentioned previously that it felt like she was trapped in a box of her own making, she never meant to only do resin and felt it was time to branch out to other mediums. And also resin is kinda dangerous lowkey.
It's so disrespectful, in my mind, that people are Constantly asking why you are making a choice to not work with resin. This is YOUR channel and you should not have to appease people. Ok I commented before the end of the video, but there are several different types of cc resign
You make me wanna make a candy piece
We missed you ☺️💝
🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️
Most of the yellowing with resin happens when you have the piece out in full sun. If you’re storing them in a box or they’re displayed out of direct sunlight they should yellow a lot less!
@Eva Rose @Eva Rose Hello & Yes I agree, I don't resin many paintings but enough to have legitimate concerns.
I recently resined a painting I already sold. The resin was art resin and I hadn't opened it but it was over a year old. This bottle actually didn't have the warning about fading ect and I uses it trying to get it done before the buyers left the state. It came out so yellowed, I'm just beyond bummed out 😓
I sanded it far as I could and then used my other resin I was very proud of this peice and have been trying workarounds but it's time I contacted the buyers who have left &
Describe the damage, cancel the framer ect.
How do you store these? I would think things like sun exposure would affect it..Yes?
Hello. Is there anyway you can remove the yellow on it? I brought a resin necklace as a gift but its already yellowing when it arrived and I only have 4 days left before giving it to her. Any advice?
Keep waiting for you to refresh your hair:)
She is so pretty
Thankyou for posting your videos. I have been thinking about trying this. I want to make a gift for my sister. Her daughter passed away and I would like to make something with resin to give in memory of her daughter. Flowers, photo ect. Any advice you can give me would be wonderful.
Did I miss something? Since when aren’t you working with resin & why aren’t you working with resin?
What resin did you use for all these projects?
As mentioned in my recent comment on the other video, could you do an update on the thermochromic resin projects?
They are amazing 😻 I enjoyed it a lot .You are so beautiful I love ❤️ you in the way you are acting is so attractive,You husband is so lucky that have you as his wife! Thanks 🙏
White flowers never last well in resin. I've had blue flowers go white or brown. It's so heartbreaking!
Hello! I’m new to your channel so sorry if you have covered this… but why don’t you work with resin anymore? Just curious! Love you videos ❤
I’m barely watching your video, started playing with resin. Can anyone recommend a good resin?
Do you have what brand of resin you used for each of these pieces?
Have you ever dipped a flower in wax, then put in resin and see what it lookediked 1 year later?
Can you paint the sides with a shiny gold or silver color
And that's why all pieces we sell have to have a disclaimer that says ALL resin yellows over time, along with instructions to treat it like a Vampire or Gremlins.
What resin was the last one? Art Resin?
why did u stop working with resin
It's not because candy is made of sugar, the food coloring they use in them aren't artist grade, they'll fade much much much faster than pigments that have chemicals in them that fight against the processes of color fading from light exposure.
It's like making a watercolor painting using food coloring and expecting it to last for decades.
And the sugar crystals might yellow overtime, so the bright white candies might end up looking like ivory overtime. That's why people generally avoid using food in art projects.
Wrong
Hey can you plug me of where you bought the materials.
Why do you not do resin anymore please?
Just discovered, did you use Real Flowers ❔
I wanna eat the candy 1 😆 🤣
Why did you stop working with resin?
It all became so yellow 😢
Please, can you make a new video today after 2 years to show how much yellowing? Thank you
Why are not going to make anymore
Early af!x
Yaasss ❤️😆
It's light cause it yellow
Why don't you work with resin anymore?
She mentioned previously that it felt like she was trapped in a box of her own making, she never meant to only do resin and felt it was time to branch out to other mediums. And also resin is kinda dangerous lowkey.
She also said she was concerned about the toxicity of it. She made a video about why.
It's so disrespectful, in my mind, that people are Constantly asking why you are making a choice to not work with resin. This is YOUR channel and you should not have to appease people. It was fun while it lasted, but for the countless reasons you have stated, you shouldn't have to keep apologizing to people who drop in occasionally and don't really watch your videos. Those of us who do, know the answers. Sorry Chica! This was an awesome walk down memory lane!
