If I’m adding this up right, that’s about $500 for everything except the battery and GoPro+mount? If you think about it, that’s a pretty good value proposition compared to the high end BNFs and the DJI FPV/Avata/Mini Pro 3/Air 2, which I would consider competition to your build considering you’ve gone basically solderless and the level of performance that your build offers is so freakin’ high.
I seem to remember you did a video recently don't know anything of what it was about but do remember that u used an 4in1 esc because it was a good reasonable prince. I think I got the same which what I thought based on the brand u said or I recognized. Anyway it is a HAKRC 45A w/blheli16 which u then proceeded to put on the bluejay to get the bi-dir firmware. Well I got the above esc and can't even load it in blheli16 to get esc fw type, all buttons are dimmed at bottom and no 4in1 multiple indication, just is not reading anything, it is an unknown esc so I can't even tell bluejay what to flash, help! Everything is ok and cked out motors setup and running properly.
I'd just do a cool 3d print for the bottom to cover the compositor but I only run fettec or kiss stuff. I do love the esc bored though hpw the motor contacts are to the corners that's awesome
I flew 3 of your frames as my only rig for 3 months straight, they fly possibly the best of any but I broke so many arm and corner tabs on the back plate off. But I go hard on concrete and steel. You should make a bando edition or something.

Would of thought "other" competitors would have been in your perfect build or is it that other vtx companies don't get a mention as none of them are worthy of old DJI technology by comparison? Good fling about though
I don't really understand what you mean by, "none of them are worthy of old DJI technology". Are you asking why I haven't switched from DJI to one of the other options for my personal build? To me, DJI offers great range and penetration, excellent image quality, fantastic durability of hardware, and size and weight that work well for my build. Walksnail comes close in terms of image quality, range, and penetration, but not quite as good. Walksnail hardware is also less rugged than DJI. HDZero is better in terms of latency, but much worse in terms of range and penetration, and I value range and penetration more. Also, I still have like six unopened Vistas so I might as well use them :-)

Very nice video. I'd be really interested in the difference in range between an ELRS EP1 (with external antenna) and an EP2 (with internal ceramic antenna) receiver. Will the link quality of the EP2 ever bottleneck the system and be "weaker" than a video signal?
It appears to be 20db. The guy that makes the long range tests on youtube tested it and it appears to be a huge difference. The EP2 was doing less than 5km and the EP1 was doing 30+km. But if you're not doing long range, it probably won't matter to you
Josh - any merit for the 25mm motors performing better than 2207’s or 2306’s with a payload or carrying more weight if a five inch freestyle where to be used in such a manner for “professional” use?
The theory here is that the heavier quad will load the prop more, making it less responsive, and demanding more torque from the motor. But bench tests already load the prop pretty heavily, because the thrust stand isn't moving through the air, so the prop cannot unload like it does in flight. Generally we see motors being more responsive and drawing less current in real life compared to the bench. So if the bench test concludes that a 2207 motor has enough thrust for a 5" prop, I think that result is likely to hold up in real life. If you've got a heavier quad and want better flight characteristics, the best advice is to use larger props. Then a larger motor might also make sense.
