This video shows your heart!! Instead of being all about you, you have decided to do such an amazing job introducing other gardeners. What a kind idea! Gorgeous gardens I must say but you, my friend, remain my TOP inspiration among ALL of the gardening channels! I always look forward to your videos and enjoy the fact you do this as your legacy and you are so humble yet incredibly talented. Thank you Roxanna!! 🌸🌸🌸
Thanks so much for having me Roxana! I had such a blast chatting with you with during this interview. You've always been such a huge inspiration to me and so many others, so it is a true honor! 🥰
Yessssssss!!!!! Pleasseeee do smaller UA-camrs as well, this is creating so a big opportunity for people! You will be blessed 🙌🏾🙌🏾 wow!! Great content, quality and everything!
Lavender really thrives in full sun, poor dry soil and planted in front of a stone wall, even if it is only one stone. 2 of my Lavender plants are thriving in these conditions out of a dozen that I originally planted. Right plant, right place.
I love seeing the gardens of other people. Many of us grow the same vegetables and flowers but I enjoy how the gardener makes it their own with design and creativity. Enjoying these videos! Bonny zone 5b
You might have luck with Lavender in your greenhouse it is truly hardy wants full sun and very little water 🥰 I have most of my Lavender growing in dusty soil and it seems to love it, I never fertilise it either but I am from the UK and it tends to love our climate 🥰
Lavender is very tricky unless you have really good drainage. Lavender seeds also needs cold stratification. I put the seeds in the fridge then pre sprout in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel inside in a warm bright place and transplant each sprouted seed into a seed tray with potting mix.
Thank you Roxanna for doing these fellow gardener videos. Your filming of the split screen is amazing too. (skills girl) I hope you are feeling better so we can see how your garden is doing and what you have planned for this month.
I love Ursula! She is "growing her growing space." She lets you know whatever happens, whatever you do- its all ok. You don't have to compete with anyone. You can do anything the way that you want to do it. And that is partly why I love your channel Roxanna! I also love your gardens. I love that you are networking with other Gardeners! We can learn endless amounts from eachother! Yes! Do it again!
I've really enjoyed this series, and especially this one since Ursula is close to where I live. It's so fun to get inspiration from other beautiful and creative gardens. And I've only had lavender for about a year, but it's doing okay. It's in a brick walled planting bed that faces south and just bakes in the sun, so I think that's how it's survived North Carolina humidity. It's up out of that mucky red clay.
It's always amazing to connect with fellow garden lovers in the same area Annaka! Thanks for the bit of info on the lavender... maybe I need to make sure it's in better soil!
Your friend garden its beautiful and her DIY green house wow..Thank you for bringing her in as your guest. I always love your garden too..try to follow you when I have time sometimes you guys are my inspiration.
I'm loving these new videos where you're introducing new gardeners to us. I also love your garden videos. Thank you Roxanna for these interviews of these gorgeous garden. I just started following Carmona. Blessings.
Really enjoyed this interview with Carmona. I had seen her greenhouse video years ago and fell in love with it. I'm not on other platforms like tik tok, Instagram or Pinterest so I miss out on a lot. You have a great eye for design. Love these video interview highlighting other growers. Thanks
Of course Roxanna I looooove your channel and EVERYTHING you share! I’m liking that your introducing other gardeners too. I can’t wait to see your garden this year! I’ve been thrifting vessels to make beautiful arrangements, but I have a lot to learn from you! You look amazing by the way “gorgeous “. I think spring is upon us! ❤🎉
What a great video! Thanks for introducing us to another great gardener. I just subscribed to Ursula's UA-cam channel and bookmarked her amazing blog. I definitely want to see if she decides to create a Woodland garden. That would be amazing since her space is surrounded by those beautiful trees. The comment Ursula made that spoke to my heart was the notion of creating your own escape at home. That is exactly how I feel too! You've created an amazing space Ursula. I'm looking forward to following your journey. Thanks Roxana for sharing this video.
I'm very excited to connect with so many amazing gardeners thanks to Roxana and her generous and amazing series. I enjoyed your interview with her so much as well! Thank you for the kind compliment... I can't wait to take on the woodland areas!
What a beautiful garden and sympathic gardener. So much space to live out gardening dreams.😍😍 Thank you for the great interview. I liked it. In addition , I live in 7B, so this beautiful garden is inspiring. Greetings from Vienna Austria.🌺🌸🌹🌻🌼
You are a wonderful teacher and a wonderful friend. No matter what capacity you are in if it’s a beginner or an intermediate you want everybody to get on board and learn how to garden in a very simple way. Introducing other gardeners will motivate anyone when they see the beautiful work that they do. This series is very inspirational you need to be commended for your hard work.
I LOVED gardening in North Carolina. We moved back to TX a few years ago and it's crazy, but I felt like I had to learn how to garden all over again because the climate is so different here. But, honestly, that's one of the things I love about gardening - it's the great equalizer because no matter how good you are at gardening, mother nature ultimately runs the show. :)
Great video Roxana, you are so cool. I garden in Austria and what i found out with lavender is, plant and go away. They hate too much water coz i have them around a fish pond with grasses and the do well. but i´ve killed some before i knew they need less water.
I've just got to pipe up and say, always do lavender from cuttings and not from seed. I garden in the UK and as you will know, we are lavender fiends! It is so hard to grow from seed but SO easy from cuttings.
I do have to say (As an update and not as putting down your comment) that the lavender seeds I started from sees this year did amazing, they took some extra work on my part but I just transplanted a bunch into the ground. I do have to see how to take cuttings from those tho.
I used to watch Ursula's video when she was first designing and beginning to build her green house but lost track of her, for some reason she stopped showing up in my recommendations. I am so happy to see the progress again. Can you put her UA-cam information in please so I can add her back into my video line up.
Lavender needs full blazing sun and good draining soil. Maybe add some sand to amend the area you plant it. It needs to be watered to get it established but is then drought tolerant. I live in the SW in NM and it grows well here. It is hot and dry here, so try and replicate that.
Lavender is a problem for me to start too. I bought Dollar Tree and MidGardner’s lavender seeds and I have only one tiny little seedling. I am gonna protect it as if it’s my baby. I will also try to direct sow it too. Her garden is beautiful. I can’t wait to watch her videos!!!
I think that lavender may be better for winter sowing, I am gonna do a video of my results probable next week or so but I am also throwing a bunch of lavender in my winter sowing.
I love your channel and this episode is amazing. I am going to point out that if you get old windows please use precautions and strip them down to the bare wood. And then dispose of the stripper and paint at a hazardous material site. Here’s why, old windows are often painted using paint with lead in it. Not something that you want around veggies. There are lead testing kits but make sure that you scrape all of the layers down to bare wood and then test on that site. Sorry I don’t want to be a downer. ❤
Thank you for the tip Darlene, I have definitely thought of this already, that is going to be a hell of a time stripping all that paint down but better safe than sorry!
I love her can do attitude! Great video, lots of inspiration. I followed her on insta and now I have to check out her UA-cam. Keep them coming. This was very good. You should do this with a lot of garden creators, when you’re not working in your own beautiful garden. ❤
