“Giving from a place of fear” is so true. This is key.

Yes! I completely agree. Underneath the codependency is fear.❤

Don't respond immediately but ask for time, let me think about it. 24-hour decision making policy is awesome! If you need to know right now then my answer has to be no. Excellent verbalization.

Thank you so much! 💓 I can certainly relate to the fear that if I don't help, someone might actually die or something terrible might happen to them xxx

I resonate with what you are saying. I often feel the necessity to solve other people's problems. The problem with that way of living is the other person doesn't really want me to solve their problem. Most of the time the person is content with the way they are. So why am I wasting so much time wondering why they don't want to accept my great advice?

Beautiful. Very much resonated! Thank you so much for this interview! I find that the healing from co-dependency seems to happen in layers.....The most profound question it has brought me to so far, is: who am I, if I were to help no one? Like...would I still feel I exist?🤔. In and for myself? The answers that have come so far, are very interesting.......

Ok how do i get out of bitterland? I am kicking EVERYONE out of my life, pushing nice people away because I feel like it's all going to happen again with new ppl. I'm always pissed off and resentful and now I am resenting every nice thing I've ever done for some people. I was totally taken for granted by family and friends because I took their crap and didn't set boundaries. I thnk I'm mad at myself more than any one person. I want a do over so I can end this anger. Going to watch this 10 times if I have to to figure this out. Thank you for doing these vids they are invaluable. At least I now know why I think/thought so many ppl were rude it's because they didn't auto-accomodate like me. Great lesson.

I hear ya. Breaking free from bitterness is a journey, and recognizing the patterns is a powerful start. Watch the videos, but also consider seeking support, whether from friends, family, or a professional to guide you through this transformative process. You've got this! 🙏🔥

thank you. I was in an aweful place when I wrote that. I am doing much better. I have decided to let the past go, and start over again using the tips I am learning. I really had issues with being too nice to ppl that did not deserve it. Not doing that anymore. I feel like I gave myself permission to stop doing that. I always thought oh just do it, take the high road but that high road was making me pissy. No mas. Thanks so much for the helpful vids.@@JaysonGaddis

This is exactly to a T what I have experienced and learned over the last 4 years and 40 years before that to a lesser degree. I wish I had it all in one video like this one. I think every American should watch this Exchange and do a reset. Thank you so much for articulating your stories and lessons for each of you! Job well done.

Question is...what's the healthy flip side? How do we speak? It's a whole new language and behavior for those who are helpers, healers, and teachers

How can you change that of which you are unaware? You can" t. So observe yourself, but not judgmentally. How can you maintain boundaries when you don' t know what you want? You can' t. So be aware
