I really like it when you show your palette and how you mix your colors. It is so helpful, as I am still learning how this medium works. This was really an enjoyable tutorial. Thank you Paul for all you do.
Having the palette on the side is SO HELPFUL for a beginner like me. I really needed to gain an understanding of how much of a wash to create, get a better sense of water to pigment ratio, etc. This was a handy visual- thanks as always!
I just finished this painting with you! Your teaching is so very helpful to me. Helping me mix colors, loosen up my painting, and overall having a fun time with you! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
how fun to see the facebook paintings ... wonderful and inspiring.... I''m glad you told us the real time.... no need for us to think we should be faster! many thanks
Great painting. I love clotheslines they are so reminiscent of the good old days. I love watching the clothes blowing in the wind, it's so meditative. Thanks
Absolutely Lovely Paul. Loved the old charm picture. Plus the techniques you showed us. The details you add are fantastic. The shading. At first when I saw the title of wash line , I wondered. But nothing is ever just ordinary in your paintings. Therefore was pleasantly surprised and loved it. Thank-you and have a wonderful day. 💓
This is a great painting, Paul 🧡 I always love watching your techniques along with your instruction… what a huge help for me personally, while I am forever learning new things after a few years of painting, and your humor always brightens my day 😎🎨
Thanks for this cheerful tutorial, raising the ordinary, washing on the line, to art! Even the most humble of life's details can be celebrated. For those of us in Canada, putting the laundry out on the line is a harbinger of spring:)
Wow Paul! I can’t believe how different it is having the palette in view! It’s so very helpful!!! Thank you so much! Thank you Paul , I am learning a lot with your instructions, I am looking forward to Wednesdays and I do enjoy painting street scenes, have a good week!
The potted plants add a bit of beauty to the mundane task of hanging laundry, although I have never minded doing laundry. Really nice painting. Thank you.
I was amazed you found a wine with the name.....oh you didn't! Made me laugh of course! I cringe when an artist says a shadow is grey and I think of all I have learned from you.
I did a washing line painting, some years ago in a cityscape, for my ‘bestie’ for her laundry room, and her Niece is getting married next year, and for her Bridal Shower,I shall try your beautiful example Paul, thanks so much.I loved Margot’s FB groups examples too!!♥️🇨🇦

Hi Paul thank you for this great tutorial. I love it. I love the way you did the shadows on the buildings. I love the texture, lots of effects, just a lovely painting. The plant shadow, at the end of the video. What a difference that made! Thank You for your time and effort!
always phenomenal!🎉🎉🎉 I haven’t followed you in a while not because I didn’t want to. I was embarking on doing portraits ended up doing charcoal portraits for about two years but I got to missing watercolor so I started watching you again because now I’m very sluggish at it! Thank you so much for going slow. I watch them all the way through.
Wow there are so many nice and beautiful paintings. My favorite is the 27th painting (second to last). It's so simple but amazing. Just like an old painting.

Wonderful! I took a photo in Tuscany last summer of an old village with clothes hanging. Really did not know how to approach for a water color. Now I know. You are the best.
Hi Paul! I loved how this one literally jumped off the page!! It’s very helpful for me to see how you navigate the paints on screen. As I watch I can feel you glancing at the photo? Do you do that? I am back to say that you quite outdid yourself with the textures and the shadows in this one! I got so curious about your 'hang out' pun that I forgot to compliment you on the skill with which you built the sense of the old time-worn alley with the textures and patina that develop with the passing of the ages.
