Timelapse - A Creative Challenge // Zeapon Micro 2 & Fujifilm X-T4

- I don’t always want to tell stories with my video work. Sometimes I just want to go out and capture the beauty around me. That just makes fun and it makes me go out even on days where I usually wouldn’t.
It doesn’t sound like a big thing, but it actually is. Because using your camera regularly is important to develop serious skills.
But it’s not that easy. Sometimes, there is a lack of motivation without a specific video project in mind. So what helps me to get on shoots regularly is to shoot timelapses. Timelapses are great enhancement of my videos as they show what our eyes can’t see. But even more important is that they make me go out with my camera, what leads me to also get regular video shots.
That’s a good training even if I don’t have a specific project in mind.
So what’s your motivation to go out shooting?
Thanks to Zeapon for sending me the Micro 2 Slider. If you’re interested in using this slider to bring your timelapses to the next level, you’ll find it here: geni.us/pg3HY8 *

I’m shook! This is so good. Thanks for sharing in LCA so I could see. Just sub’d.
Thank you so much Halee 😊
Such a well done video!! So professional!
Thank you so much!!
Haven’t watched your videos in a while, but am glad that I decided to check on whats new in my subscriptions😊 I’m still using my Osmo Pocket for videos and timelapses as basically I’m more of a stills guy. I am trying to improve on my videography and thats where your channel is so helpful. Thank you Pascal👍🏼😄
Thanks Philip and welcome back. I‘m wondering that you use the Osmo Pocket for stills. Wouldn’t a dslr or mirrorless not be better?
Pascal Basel Sorry, what I meant is that I’m basically a stills amateur photographer with my DSLR and only started to do videos and timelapse with the Osmo Pocket. Your tips on using the little Pocket to get good quality video encouraged me and I’ve uploaded some of my attempts on UA-cam. I’ve a long way to get it right.
Great insightful video! It is so easy to get trapped in only watching gear reviews/comparisons and tutorials on UA-cam. I have tried to go out and film short clips, and then create a short edit with color grading and sound design, in order to exercise the complete process of filmmaking, and every time I learn something new.
Yeah, it’s amazing how much you can learn from such small random edits. Keep it going Harri 👍🏻
Exactly what I needed. Thanks I found you fro
Yo yo! Sick video Pascal! Definitely going to be ordering one of those!
Thanks bro, I can not recommend the slider enough.
Super practical information and great tips man! Your channel is awesome
Thanks a lot 👍🏻
Just ordered one and glad to know it works perfectly well with the XT4 thank you - would be great to see a tutorial if you ever make one.
Awesome, enjoy 👍🏻
beautiful time lapses
Many thanks 👍🏻
Bro you deserve so many more subs
Thanks a lot Alex, working on it 😉
Great video!
Thanks Pablo
So epic. Great sound design too! My motivation is to capture the experience so I can show others how amazing Thailand is 🙏Thanks for the credits at the end!
Thanks bro, especially for the help shooting this video 👍🏻
@@pascalbasel Anytime! I think I'll be coming back here more often 😊
Chiang Mai seems to be addictive haha
It's so easy to stay a long time 😅
I don’t often like to tell stories with my video... while he tells a compelling and thorough story. 😏 Very nicely done Pascal! You got my sub🙏🏽
Haha true, I do if can though ;-)
Welcome to the channel 👍🏻
Best transitions on youtube!
Thank you so much!!
Great video Pascal - thank you. Like your background music too. Where do you source royalty-free music from and where would you recommend?
Hi Pascal, nice and inspiring video. Can you summarizes a bit about how you did this scene at 2:32 ?
Thanks a lot, that’s single photos free hand and stabilized in post. I used the grid in camera and a certain point at the tower to lock the shots to an equal framing.
great video
Thanks!
Thank you for your video ! can you post a tutorial "how to make a timelpase with the XT-4". Just easier to learn with good quality footage like yours ;)
Thanks, I just use the interval timer in photo mode. So it's single photos converted to video.
@@pascalbasel thank you :)
Hello .. Thank you So much for sharing ! Pascual!
Can you please share a link to buy the cable from the ZEAPON to the Xt4?
Hey Pascal, thank you for the motivation. But maybe in the future you like to make a video how to make day to night timelapses? I still don't know how to set the camera for it.
Hi Claus,
Thanks. Yeah I can make one. It’s pretty hard and not always successful though. Usually set the camera to auto and use spot metering on the dark parts of the image. EV to -2 (depending on the DR of the camera) and intervall to 30 seconds to allow the shutter to go slow. After that just pray haha.
GoPros actually do that really well. The shot with me sitting on the mountain blending over to the d2b timelapse to the right was done with GoPro for the timelapse and Osmo Pocket filming myself. Lots of editing though.
Hello !!!! Pascual ! Hello .. Thank you So much for sharing ! Pascual!
Can you please share a link to buy the cable from the ZEAPON to the Xt4?
Caraca meu irmão, seus vídeos são legais de mais
Thanks Fabio 👍🏻
this was very educative and an absolute beautiful shot! if you dont mind, that timelapse at 2:33 how did you set it up
Thanks, that's just handheld photos, lined up with in-camera grid and stabilized in post.
Hey man this is soo stunning 😍💯.
Did you shoot the clip from 0:25 - 0:31 in F-log or any other Film simulation?
Nice
In cafe shot did you use zeapon motor slider too it very smooth.
Not sure, which scene you mean. I only used the slider for timelapses. All other shots are handheld with XT4 and sometimes a bit more post stabilization.
I sub’d just now good stuff. Just bought my canon r6II looking to get cool fun Timelapse and warp vids . Just a hobbyist
Have a like and a comment.
Thanks Brad 👍🏻
Can you do a review of the Zeapon Pons PT heads?
I just did, you find it on my channel in the videos section.
Does it come with a ball head
so the Zeapon app perfectly working with fuji systerm without any problem ? i wan to buy the motorized. but i still consider because i dont know if it work perfectly or not! thanks
Yes, it does.
@@pascalbasel thanks for your repply. Here is one more thing i want to ask. Will the Zeapon App will automatic create the timelapse after shooting or you have to do it in your computer with LR or PTS ?
How do you zoom in and out during Timelapse? Is it done while shooting or in the post production?
Either by moving the slider forward/backward or in post (most of the time).
@@pascalbasel Thanks very much. Can you please guide how to do that in Post?
What lense did you use with the X-T4? Beautiful film!
Thanks, it’s mostly the 16-55mm 2.8 and Viltrox 23mm 1.4.
@@pascalbasel And are you happy with it? I`m stuck between this or a canon eos r...
@@SteffenFromNorway Yes, absolutely :-)
what do u do when it’s raining and u’re riding ur bike? raincoat?
umbrella
What cable do you use in connection between Zeapon and X-T4 for time-lapses? Please give me a link where you can buy such a cable or analog
Just a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable.
@@pascalbasel Thanks you
