Thanks Andrew, travel through these areas quite often, will do the Lake Cathie Lake Innes paddle next time. There are some early 19th century ruins on the eastern shore of Lake Innes built by Major Innes who was the first commandant of Port Macquarie. Might stop off for a look on the way.
awesome videos Rob , a nice little collection My wife and I get up that way and will defiantly Yak from Port to Salt Lake . exactly the kind of trip we like , the more wilderness the better . although we cant cover that much water in one day so we would plan to camp there , You said in your video that you cant camp there . Places like that one can usually find somewhere to set up . did you mean one cant campp there because there was no where to set up or did you mean one is not meant to camp there ? We minimal camp in hammocks and always leave a place better than we found it . Take only pictures leave only footprints
I couldn't see anywhere you could camp. In fact I couldn't find anywhere up there to even get out to go to the loo... had to stand on a log in the middle of the creek.
@@auntymonkey01 thanks but no I wont ask them , they would probably just tell me I cant camp there . If there is a side with trees that means there is most likely dry land , and we use hammocks so don't need a perfectly flat grassy spot like one does with tents . a bit of rocks and underbrush is ok . Chances are we will find a spot there . thanks
Gorgeous conditions, and some lovely photography on this one! Nice to see you getting back into your kayak. Bummer about the Murrumbidgee too. Were you filming on your phone for this video?
Such a great area to kayak.. seems like there’s so many places to explore too
hey Robbo - thanks for the maps and your track play throughs at the end - great info

@@auntymonkey01 bummer is it all mangrove around the edges
@@sprintershepherd4359 just lots of reeds and flood plains. There may be spots on tree other side, but maybe ask the National Parks folk

Hey Andrew, great to see you on the Mid North Coast! How do you go landing your drone over the water? Great shots and video!
I catch it. You can see me do it around the 17 min mark in my Summit to Sea EP4 video. ua-cam.com/video/3T9SMfKYaj8/v-deo.html
