Glen Buxton and Michael Bruce played so well together. Hard Hearted Alice on Muscle of Love is a great example and one of my favorite songs by the Original Alice Cooper Band. RIP--- Glen Buxton ❤

Thanks Howard!!! I've noodled w/guitar for about 50 years (and STILL suck), but after trolling the internet for transcriptions, YOUR presentation is by far the BEST! You're explanations are thorough & the note/chord tablature is a real bonus. I put the headphones on and..."hey, this ain't Howard Hart, it's f'in Glenn Buxton!"
Now I understand the influence that GB, Michael Bruce, & Mick Ronson had on Randy Rhoads.

This is the 1st time I searched how to play this song in awhile. Finally a good lesson. And I just ordered my telecaster too😁. OK it's the Squier version.

Alice Cooper’s 1970’s band ruled, they were riff masters and great musicians. It had that vintage tone that you wanna drink beer to and rip a few joints. Today, they just don’t understand.

You're totally right. The original lineup was exceptional... Excellent dual guitar team. And the writing was top notch.

Great riff, great band, great guitarist. My favorite albums are from the Alice Cooper band. Unrepeatable musicians, albums. I don't know why the comments have been removed from most videos (at least in Croatia), they weren't there until a short time ago.
No more mr.Nice Guy is one of the first real things I learned to listen to the solo. there were no videos, tabs, comps. Great video. I play 51g and know a lot about it. Now my lef palm iz out. But I continue after medical operations. Good sound Teles. I play with Japan made LP guitar from the 70s. i have 6 guitars.

Excellent tutorial thank you! The section 'A/D flat min/G/B min' comes from another song (maybe Motown) ...anyone know? A brilliant song..... which came first, the melody or the riff/chord structure? I suspect the opening riff first and then the chords with the vocals afterwards, it always amazes me at the skill involved in coming up with a classic like this.

What's the story with the sitar sound on the middle eight inversions; just really low action or are you throwing in an effect? Sounds cool, either way...

I tended more towards Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie, the Faces, Machine Head by Deep Purple and Dylan, Chuck Berry, the Grateful Dead, Simon & Garfunkel, Hendrix. There were other American groups, but for those few years My primary influence was the British Invasion.

Don't forget to mention Dennis Dunaway, incredible bass player, not just hitting the roots and 5ths which would still be great songs , But his well-thought-out baselines really made those songs Interesting with the vocal melody

@@GaryBook Many of the same influences, perhaps a bit more progressive like Yes, Genesis, ELP. If your band was on AM radio, we kinda shunned it as not being cool enough . But Alice Cooper had some smoking guitar riffs that always caught my attention. 50 years later, I'm playing them.... lol
