I was in the Class of 1985, but left during my 3rd class year; however, during my entire first year, I was in the Protestant Chapel Choir and we sang every Sunday! We were invited to sing at a black Southern Baptist church in Montgomery and flew down there in a troop-seat-configured C-141. Although I did not complete the academy program, having attended the prep school as well, the experience changed me forever - for the better. FYI, I had problems focusing on academics because I was beginning to realize, and cope with, the fact that I am gay and I was in violation of the UCMJ. There was NO way for me to serve HONORABLY knowing that... Peace to all cadets that are gay and following in footsteps that I was not able to create for you.
President of the Chorale here... I'm trying my best to revive the group this year. So far it's been pretty successful! But it's been near death over the past couple years...

Wow. Hearing that Air Force Hymn makes one realize how truly great the Navy Hymn is. The Navy definitely has the best hymn.
Honor of serving is in the music of the cadets!
