I just realised that Allah swt lead me to this channel after I want to move on from my ex gf. The idea of a proposal being done in the presence of a family member so that the two are unable to sway each other with lust but instead they are both trying to understand the truth of each other so they can make a good decision if there should marry or not is a very important one.
