I remember when I was 13 years old, I joined a Summer Football team with my best friend at our local High School. It was basically a sort of tryout for those that had never played, and were mostly horrible at playing the game because we knew nothing. They were trying to identify some talent for the freshman class. The coach got us in a huddle and got us to start screaming and believing that we could sack the QB, and I did! It was flag football, but I was so excited. From that point on, I believed every single word from the coach in the huddle. He could have told me to hit my best friend in the face, and I would have done it. It wasn't just because of the coach, it was the group mentality. That experience shapes me to this day. The danger, the flaw that we have as humans to act like idiots following a cult leader is ever present. Obviously, but we always think we would never do this. Think again.

There was a documentary I watched about the capital police being overtaken, I think on Netflix. I still sticks in my mind this day the awful conditions they went through, especially being pinned and holding back the mob. It was awful to watch.

Its sad when a public official needs a lawyer to tell him what to say. What happened to just telling the truth?
He may have been doing that because there were specific things he was bound legally in a different investigation not to divulge. He may have been just confirming that he could legally answer without getting himself in legal trouble with his lawyer. He seemed pretty genuine in his eagerness to aid them in the investigation. I saw him as pretty credible so I'd like to think that was the reason. Not as much to "not tell the truth" but more to keep himself from having to pay fines or serve a sentence of sort.

One of the most chilling things I ever heard was the correction of someone’s statement that the J6 attack was the apex of this insanity. “No, that was the trial run.” And with total and complete horror, I realized they were right. I think Trump deserves to be in prison, but believe they are doing the right thing. If it was made easy to put political opponents into prison, then Trump would still be President and the whole democratic party would be in prison. Unfortunately it's a difficult but necessary procedure. They must prove absolutely to the US population that Trump is the traitor that all rational humans understand him to be.

As bad is it all was, you had entire city blocks burned to the ground but that was seen as ok. This is why so many Americans aren't outraged. You can't pick and choose which one is worse or if they are equal. But were terrible but one was seen as one of the "worst days in American history" while the others were seen as justice. That's why most don't care.
