Exactly. Pretty much everything about MC tradition was stolen from early 20th century interwar youth groups. Most original MCs were WII veterans that regressed back the their pre war youth culture as a way to reintegrate into society. Teenage arrested development and hooliganism. In the 70s and 80s MCs were overrun by now geriatric boomers. Today it is just boomers serving as Cub Scout den leaders for the social rejects they recruited.

When I was young my best friends older brother was a member of a top tier MC. We hung out with them alot, then I went into the military. I learned at a young age, you don't decide yourself what patch or military award yourself as to what to wear. Your peers will let you know what you earned and when to wear it.

#GHOSTIN Great video Sose. I'm in a 99 club, it's a Veteran MC, we have an MC cube, but we have the blessing to wear it. We stay completely neutral and never take sides with other clubs, we are a Vets helping Vets club. People need to be well aware of the things you talk about, and I very happy you make sure that they are informed. I have been around the culture for over 30 years, and am always learning something new. If you stop learning and think you know it all. You better step away, because you will end up in a bad place through Complacency. Keep the great videos coming Sose. God bless you my man.

It’s David again. This video is a perfect example of “club life”. It’s all good as long as all clubs know the rules.
Many thanks to Sose for educating everyone.
As an ST rider, if I see a good place to eat that is surrounded by club bikes, I’m not going to have any issues going in for a meal. I’ll pay my due respect with a head-nod to any other biker there. I’ll keep to myself. And I’ll be just fine.
Back in the day, Jap-bike riders and Harley riders NEVER gave the biker wave to each other. Now, most riders are cool with what such a wave means. It means “riding is dangerous, I appreciate that, be well”
Rarely, I will come across another biker who, when given “the wave”, will take their left hand from the handlebar, and place it firmly and obviously on the top of their thigh.
    That’s a major “dis”.
But, I don’t care. I get “dissed” all the time on my bike or in my cage.
Thank you again Sose for sharing knowledge.

I've read several "Wouldnt give it up" comments on topics such as this.
As a young man, I found myself in a few situations where making the wrong choice wouldnt work so well for me. With this being said, as a non club member if an outlaw club wants my patch, take it. If you want my jacket take it. If you want an apology, I will give one which is sincere. I dont know how many guys I can defend against, but I do know how many I will be facing once things start (every club member around). That $5 patch isn't worth a trip to the ER, keep your mouth shut and count your blessings.

  • @robertross9019

I’m of two minds about the entire topic of patches. On the one hand, having served over twenty years in the military I believe that freedom of expression is sacred. On the other, I also believe that only a fool puts something on without knowing what it means or where it comes from. Case in point, back in the 80s and early 90s British Knight was a very popular brand of leisure and sports wear yet almost no one knew that the founder and majority owner of that company was the Grand Wizard of the KKK. Wearing that clothing line financially supported racism and bigotry yet most of the people wearing it had no idea and even after being told had to be shown, in clear and incontrovertible evidence that this was the truth.
I’ll add that there’s something of a middle ground in my mind. If a particular patch, logo or piece of art in whatever medium (patch, silkscreen, etc) is copyrighted then there’s no question that those who are part of the group/organization that holds that copyright have every right to insist that anyone not a part of that organization should and can’t wear that emblem. Violence should be avoided if possible as it only brings negative attention and handling matters peacefully will avoid that if not actually engender goodwill towards the person(s) or group that educate the “offender.”

I see people wearing the mayans patches too like the sons patches. People have to understand that in the real world full patches earned their ‘stripes’ and wearing fake patches will get you in trouble and that’s the message that’s been repeatedly said in your videos and is literally common sense. People have to be careful and heed Sose’s message and take it from someone who knows what he’s saying. Love your videos bro and keep it up! Much respect to you!!!

Everytime I see a program about "biker culture" I think of South Park and the episode called the "F word". For those who haven't seen this particular episode the kids in South Park decide that the word F*"'G would be a good word to call "bikers". Since I've watched that episode I've made it a point to use that term when I see a bunch of "bikers". It's my culture you understand. Who died and made these people decide who is and isn't a biker.

Just found your channel and subbed. I've never belonged to an MC but I've rode bikes since I was 15. My first new bike was in 1975 and it was a CB 360t Honda. I'm 66 now so that gives you some idea.
I was way too poor to have much so my bike was a 365 thing. Plus I only dated chicks with cars. My first big boy bike was a used sportster that I dove forever. I rode with my best friend and we loved it. I remember going to Sturgis when it was real. Not all the trailered in chrome but bikes. .
One think I knew, and obeyed, all those years were the rules. Never joined in with an MC or particularly an Outlaw club unless invited (happened only once) never disrespected a club's ride by moving through. I'll tell this story and shut up.
Like I said, we never patched up or pretended to be anything. Just Gypsy Leather and the cool boots with the metal ring...(now that's old....). Anyway, I was 16 and taking my (all I could afford but loved) used Honda up to where a girl I knew lived in Colorado. I didn't know jack about altitude as I was a flat lander from Oklahoma. Anyway, my fuel mixture was all screw up when I got high and I was forced to pull over. No phones back then. A very large Outlaw MC came by and there were a ton of bikes. First one pulled over and then a bunch stopped. Not only did they fix my carbs, they showed me what to do coming down. Super nice guys and the only time I was invited to ride with an MC. I've had people call me a liar but it's true. All those Harley's and my Honda on a run. Ha. I couldn't stay up with them or the formation they were running so I kicked out after a while but man that was fun.
Anyway, I'm old and not just work on gravity fed bikes as a hobby. With my cancer I can't ride much but decided to restore a 1975 Honda CB360t (my first new anything I ever owned). It was rough but I've hand sanded, rewired and updated every inch. She's almost ready for the front forks and tank.
Way too much info I know, but I just wanted to say that Clubs, particularly 1% guys, aren't bad. They have rules and they have honor. People get in trouble when you disrespect something they have earned and lived their lives by.
I'll keep watching but shut up and just follow the pack and ride tail

I often ride out to a rather popular biker hang out. I was there in July and I saw a guy with a 3 piece cut, territory bottom rocker, and he did have a diamond, but it had an 8 in it. I didn't say anything as it is not my business to do so, I was just there for some beer and food, but I did look up the club, whose name will remain unmentioned, and it is a legit club, but that diamond bugged me, as did the territory rocker, because this club is NOT an outlaw club at all, and definitely NOT the dominant club in the area. I am sure the guy was a nice dude, he seemed like it anyway, but I wondered to myself what might have happened were the dominant club in the area to roll up to the same place. This was right at the time when hundreds of members of the dominant club were rolling through the area on their way to a funeral, so I still don't know what to make of it. Blessing? Perhaps, but unlikely. Still unsure.

If you got a logo that has a skull or something that a bad boy biker might wanna wear as a patch, do not wear that shit in public ever.
If it's a business logo that is obviously a business logo nobody is gonna give a fuck, they ain't gonna talk to you or Nothing so you ain't gotta fucking worry...
But if the logo looks like something that an outlaw would wear on their cut, best believe if we find out you gonna get repercussions no matter where you are in the world or what you're doing...

I really enjoy playing your videos for my old man. He don't know this life. I've been riding since I was a teenager. I've been around people in clubs and people who just ride. Patch or no patch its a way a life for me and many others. But there are rules that people in this life understand or should understand. So my man learns from your videos so he can understand when we go places that involve what I do so he knows so there are no problems. Its funny because he was like I knew the shows like SOA were fake. But I didn't realize that there was some hard truth about it as well. Hes a great dude can get along with anyone. We grew up in the same small town and everyone in this town had dirt bikes and stuff. When I found out he never even drove a dirt bike I knew I had my hands full. I took him with me to buy this last bike I just bought. I didn't tell him I bought this bigger bike so that if he tells me he wants to learn to ride that its big enough for him. My smaller bike wouldn't have fit him. However its flipped a switch that has made me want to go even badder. So I have to thank you because if him hearing these video didn't make me think that he might want to learn I would have stayed in a comfort zone and not realized just how uncomfortable riding spotters and dynas were. Now I fell in love with the Breakout and Fatboy and my God when girls say size don't matter they are lying bitches lmao!!!!!! Thanks to my demons brothers. So, the diamond patch. based on what youre telling me you could have a diamond patch with the fuckin Lucky Charms logo in it and itd still be a problem just because its diamond shaped if the wrong dude sees it and decides to care? Who tf has a monopoly on the *shape* of a patch? What if they rotate the patch to so its a Rhombus? I think thats pretty fuckin stupid if thats how it rolls. Also doesnt help that ive seen patches sold at Truck Stops n shit where anybody could buy them. Probably why i dont ride and im not in a club. Politics like that just seem dumb to me.

I’m a Marine and have been out for awhile, but I served my time in the desert and in Africa. I have always been proud of the fact that only about 1% of the population is in the active duty military so I almost got a 1% tattoo not knowing the outlaw club meaning. Of course once I learned what it means to outlaw clubs I didn’t go through with it out of respect, but it did piss me off because in my mind I earned the right to put 1% on my body because of what I did for my country. I also understand the major majority of outlaw club members would not see it that way so I quickly got over it. And I’m glad I learned what it means to others before I had to learn the hard way. 😂

I may have what amounts to a stupid question but it is reference to the diamond patched you just spoke about. Let say I wanted to wear a diamond patch that has meaning to me. I served in the United States Marine Corps and was with the 1st Marine Division. Our insignia is a blue diamond with a red "1" in the middle surrounded by stars that signify the battles we were apart of in WWII. I quess my question is should I maybe go to a local COC meeting or try to contact the local club in the area to ask for permission. I am all about respect and showing that respect, just want to make sure I do things right if I go down this path.
Other than that, love youe channel bro. You always have great content, never bull shit and get straight to the point. Much love to you and stay safe on twos. Thank you
