In all seriousness this is like the most collected and balanced I’ve seen Lindsay in years as a long term stan… I’m a little shocked, perhaps the soft comeback and Netflix deal will actually amount to something? GO LINDSAY GO!!!!
What makes her a good actress if that she is real. When you listen to her talk about others and her experiences, there is nothing but genuine authenticity in the way she expresses herself. That’s something so rare in Hollywood. Everyone tries way too hard to say she right thing now. She just is herself and it’s beautiful. Love this girl.
has she though?? everyone always says she is talented. all her movies are full of bad acting....enough to get by in the industry, but I couldn't see her actually taking on a 'Meryl streep' role..
@@lindseyl8394 Not everyone needs to be on Meryl Streeps acting level to be considered a good actor. There are different types of actors and characters that they excell in. Lindsay was great in her roles.
@@lindseyl8394 I think she was popular more for her energy and charisma than acting ability. She was just really likeable. Although I thought her acting was actually pretty impressive in Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. She could have improved much more in her 20's... the world was her oyster. But unfortunately she derailed herself with all of the substance abuse and drama. It's not too late for her to make a comeback, though. No, I don't think she'll ever be on a Meryl Streep type level but she can still be a force.
When you see how sweet Lindsay and all the other 00s icons are, that's when you truly realize how damaging and evil the press were with them all! Lindsay is literally GLOWING like the star she is, I'm so excited to see her again in movies!
the press was def awful but these women were absolutely mean girls in their heyday like super rich privileged teenagers tend to be terrible people who sometimes maybe mature into more kindhearted adults
@Southstguy ...if only 90% of the negative press she got had anything to do with her actual unpleasant qualities back then and not everything to do with her being a young woman in the spotlight dealing with personal issues and addiction then I'd maybe give something up to you trying to be a Debbie Downer in this comment section.
Or maybe you're just falling for the good press and her PR team, this is just a different form of press that's on Lindsay's side. We don't know her, we don't know if she's "sweet"
I had no idea she was this dedicated to her characters and was allowed input. Nail polish seems so small but it really shows that she cared about the details.
59 seconds into the video and I'm tearing up. With her talking about her young roles, I hadn't followed her up through the drugs and scandals, but I'm so happy to see that she looks better now. Her going through these young looks reminds me of my childhood and I just really want to see her back in a good place.
She has grown so much as a person. The media gives her so much sh*t about struggling with addiction, but her just being able to survive the hateful world we live in says a lot about her character.
Right? I never liked her acting but that should have nothing to do with what she may have went through. Like where were her parents when she was a kid, and why is she the only celeb who has drank and done drugs? I always though it was a weird take.
The parent trap is one of the most iconic movies of all time. As was mean girls. She’s been a major part of early 2000s pop culture and I’m glad she looks like she’s doing better. Child stars did not have it good back then.
Watching her and seeing how well she is doing almost felt like a hug, full of nostalgia. I grew up with her and seeing her like this feels like a little piece of my childhood has healed🖤
I am so happy to see her so happy and healthy. She is an inspiration to many people, she proved that after going through very difficult things it is possible to recover and get back in control of your life and not many can say that. I'm glad she was able to show her haters that she could and that she still has a long way to go. Love you Lilo🥰
If I could heart your comment like on Facebook I would. I'm happy to see Lindsey doing so well, and all you said was right. Ten years ago I was fresh out of an abusive marriage and to block the pain I became a heroin addict. I went to jail seven times in two years. Now I've been clean for six years and I own a business making spell/ritual candles. My mother visited me in jail once and said "You've been through a lot of really really terrible things and I feel for you. But it's time to move past it now," and that flipped a switch in my brain and I never looked back. It IS possible to recover and take control of your life; I tell a lot of my customers that life isn't supposed to be something that happens TO you. You can turn your life into anything you want.
I do too! I was in middle school and high school during her prime leading role period so she was prominent and I always thought she was one of the prettiest girls.
I’m convinced that Lindsay still has an Oscar-winning performance in her. I really hope it happens one day. She’s incredibly talented and her private life just overshadowed that unfortunately.
She was there at every step of my life practically. As a tiny kid watching The Parent Trap, then Mean Girls and Herby Fully Loaded, so many things. She is just so special.
This felt like sitting down with a girlfriend. She’s so warm and personable. I’m so thrilled for her; she seems like she’s thriving and healthy. Good for her!
It was refreshing to see her in this light. A genuine real human being. We get so caught up in all the gossip and paparazzi we forget entertainers have feelings of inadequacy, remorse for mistakes and appreciation for family. This little 16 minutes helped me understand who she really is a bit.
I feel like I came back here today just to scroll through this comment section again to restore my hope for humanity - I don't think there's one negative or trolling comment on this video.
She was struggling with mental health issues and then was completely exploited by the paparazzi and a media that hated women and blamed them for everything. If anything, she was a victim of a toxic system that tried to frame her as the villain and then would say “See, I told u” when she had a breakdown. Of course someone will have a breakdown after being harassed and misconstrued for so long. That’s only natural. Child starts of that era in Hollywood had a particularly hard time, especially girls, and it’s no surprise she struggled.
Lindsay is so iconic, I don’t know if she actually knows that she’s such a huge part of the childhood of a whole generation. It’s so amazing to see how she’s turned her life around and is making a comeback which she’s actually enjoying! It’s so nice to see everyone’s comments about her too because we’re all rooting for her.
She is positively glowing. With all the horrid things of the past, I'm glad she is able to move forward and flourish. I hope she gets a resurgence because Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Girl was on repeat for me when I was a teen.
I am so happy that Lindsay has found herself and has overcome all her struggles. I’ve always had an affinity to her and I’m just glad she’s happy, healthy and working
What struggles ...?! She was partying every day of her life, getting drunk and doing drugs at the most exclusive venues. She was making headlines in magazines pictured drunk and wasted.
@@katerinapatiniotis5598 addiction is a struggle. You have no idea what she went through being a child actor with a stage mom and a father in prison. She grew up in a toxic lifestyle and shes gotten herself together. You should probably educate yourself on addiction because you sound very ignorant.

@Southstguy fair statement but she’s grown and is doing a lot better. i think lindsay has found herself and she’s recognized her mistakes :) it’s very hard being such a big figure in hollywood at such a young age. many child actors have had a point in their life when people called them crazy or something but i think that you should realize growing up in the spotlight is not easy
She has my respect. The way she took responsibility for her misgivings and saying that she needed to lead by example for her siblings says a lot about her character. I want Lindsay to come back, but when she wants. I just love her.
I love that she gives tribute to all the female celebrities that influenced her looks. She looks so beautiful and happy now, wish her lots of more success to come, she deserves it! ❤😊
Honestly she’s so iconic. This was someone who had untouchable beauty during my childhood that if I ever met in person I would be starstruck. I think she’s just as beautiful as she always has been.
She was and always will be my favorite young star in the 2000's. She made many iconic movies for teen pop stars. She's like the Molly Ringwald for her generation. I recently saw the movie "Labor Pains". She was fabulous playing Thea.
3 Netflix movies are coming (one already shot, the Christmas romcom)!! Hopefully she reunites with Nancy Meyers too since she also announced yesterday she's directing a new movie for Netflix!
While it’s definitely good being sober I think surgery takes most of the credit when it comes to her “ageing well” (no hate to her though she looks good and definitely seems more happier^^)
Parent Trap is still one of my favourite movie! Lindsay's definitely the original it girl for all 90s kids. So happy to see her coming back these years.
Back in 2005 she said that she really likes Tom Cruise. If they would have make a movie together it would really help her career. Lindsay is beautiful. 💕

Watching all these girls now makes me feel heartbroken, everyone abused them so much. Media, paparazzis, us. They certainly didn't deserve it. I am glad to see how she flourished.
100%! Like all the tween stars back then that I grew up watching and adored. Seeing how the media treated them was so sad. I remember seeing Lindsay, Nicole Richie, Hilary Duff, Mischa Barton, Amanda Bynes at their peak, and then watching media completely bash them down. I think the media was brutal to women especially lindsay, britney and jannet in those times.. It was probably episodic entertainment for them to vilify these female celebrities 🙄
The media made her look like she’s gone into drug addiction for no reason. This is why I’m thankful of my decision leaving the life of acting when I still was in unpopular indie movies. Believe me, so many fellow actors and actresses I was with were very brainwashed that whenever I put up topics about the real world during our OFF DAYS they change back the topics into our looks and how will to impact our acting life and everything SUPERFICIAL. They don’t care if you have other career of interest other than acting, they would not support you and force you into only focusing on acting. It’s very unhealthy.
YESSS!! TOTALLY!! 😂😂😂 And the ironic thing is that I FREAKING loved her hair on that movie, that it was more like a golden blonde with bangs!! So It's funny to me that all that she did it by herself 🤣😅🙌✨😫
