I just love to watch someone that can mask and can explain why and what you are doing. You mentioned having a stamp positioner, I need one now than when I got one. I would be so stamp challenged without one. I'm always saying that mine has paid for itself many, many times over. Thank you sharing this fabulous layout!
OMG! Thank you so much for doing this video. I have been wondering how to get more stamped layers onto my cards and now you have figured it out for me. This is definitely a saved video. Thank you, Sandy.
Awesome overview Sandy! You make it look so easy but your step by step process gives me hope of being able to accomplish this. Thank you for caring enough to ramble on about this.
You make the masking look so simple! I get confused which stamp goes first, but with you laying it out first with the fussy cut pieces, it makes more sense to me Will have to give this a try. TFS!
OMG!!!! You are something out of this world!!!! I definitely learned a lot every time I watch your videos and you make it look simple and easy, always with your smiling voice. It makes me want to heal from depression, get on my stamps and create Art. I am a believer and I think this is God doing his “magic tricks” through Art. Thank you for all your wonderful Art!!!
What a great tutorial. This really helps. I get so confused on which stamp needs to be stamped first etc. Your finished card is absolutely adorable. I love the scene you created.
Uh, talk about an effortless way of masking, but alas, You always make every little thing look easy-peasy...I, on the other hand, know myself & therefore do not mask because I'm well aware of my abilities & that isn't one of them. Ha! Thank You though for sharing Your amazing talent & maybe someday I'll give it a go, but for now, I'm perfectly happy leaving it to the pros (like You) & admiring it from a far... Stay Safe, Happy Crafting & much Love from the West Coast 💜💙💚💛❤
Wow! This video is better than the coloring video. You even make masking look fun :). Thank you for showing how you were able to have perfect cards. Excellent video!
Sandi I’d lost your channel I used to make cards for operation write home years ago. Then I moved from Texas to Arizona and have been way busy exploring paradise to craft. 🤗🙏🏻
Thanks for a great explanation Sandy. I believe this will help me improve with my masking. I often get something wrong especially if I try to do it with blocks. TFS
Awesome tutorial, Sandy. I actually thought the mouse with the cherry was jumping/flying up to put the cherry on the cupcake, rather than standing on boxes. I think that could make for an even funnier image. LOL One point I would add for when you are building complex scenes like this, is to make sure that objects/people/critters in or towards the back are placed higher up on the panel than those in front. I have messed that up before--having something behind but lower in the visual plane. :P It seems easy to get in the zone of masking, & not pay close attention to that little detail. It's especially frustrating when that is the last image you stamp! Anyway, just thought I'd mention that. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
Placement on the floor is deceptive. Higher up is only if perspective indicates so...it would require images behind be smaller since higher would indicate further away, and with stamps there’s no ability to alter that for most folks.
Thanks for this video. I need to try this. I think I'll start on a smaller scale and work through in my brain what gets masked first. I don't have Facebook or IG or any social media other than my card blog. Will I still be able to see the live tonight? I have watched other live feeds where they have both Facebook and UA-cam that way we can all make comments or ask questions.I just know that Facebook doesn't always let you see anything if you don't have a Facebook account. I know I can't ever leave a comment on Facebook. Thank you, again. If anyone else knows the answer to my question feel free to answer.
There is an ink pad that is Copic safe and watercolor safe, and I can’t remember what it is. Can someone tell me? I only have the Staz-On for watercoloring or the Memento for Copics.
@@SandyAllnock1 thank you! I stopped crafting for a little while and I just could not remember what ink I saw someone use where they could watercolor and use their Copics on the same image.
@@GroovyCatMom Another option is the Obsidian Amalgam ink from Gina K Designs. It's good for basically everything--alcohol markers, watercolor, colored pencils with Gamsol.... It also comes in a few lighter colors, I guess for a more no-line coloring look, or if you just don't want black. You can find the different colors at her shop site: ginakdesigns.com/shop/?s=amalgam&v=7516fd43adaa. Places like Simon Says Stamp & Ellen Hutson might carry it, too. They also come in an ink cube format, if you prefer that. Hope this helps! :)
@@andrealavigne7824 thank you so much! I’m just getting back into crafting. I’d like to try the no line coloring, so I may check out those lighter colors at Gina K Designs.
Does anyone else have better luck "fussy cutting" with LARGER SCISSORS? I seem to have issues with little "HANG NAILS" at the locations of my starting and stopping with the short blades of little scissors. BTW ... don't know if others have found this "trick", but I have best results when I START at the position on an image that is the SMALLEST / TIGHTEST point. That way I have a better grasp on the piece, but also the tiny parts don't have SUCH a tendency to tear off.

Thanks for link Sandy. I don't do FB, but the link worked. Can't comment on FB. Loved the kitty and the card
