- Hello Copic colorist friends! A few weeks ago I posted my Copic Marker Basics and asked on social media for topics that weren't covered or could use another discussion - so the Copic Numbering System is one that came up a number of times. Thanks Sandy, I always enjoy learning more Copic techniques.
Very helpful. Your beginner copic class is worth every penny and your explanations very detailed like this video. Everyone should try it!
Good reminder about Copics. Thank you. Love your work.
Thanks for this video and chart and the detailed explanation. Happy Birthday early. Enjoy your day.
Just rewatching some of your old videos and turns out today is your birthday March 27....2023! So Happy Birthday to my favorite online art guru 🥳🎉
Yes it is! Thanks! 😀
Oooo!!! I never tried techniques in this video. I needed this! Thank you Sandy!
Thank you for a very informative video lesson. You are one very talented artist, and I have learned so much from you. I am new to Copics, even though I have had them for a couple of years. I don't know what I am saving them for, so it's time to use them. Wishing you a Happy Birthday!
This is an awesome video. Very informative. I will watch more than once.
Thank you, Sandy. Very helpful indeed. x
I’ve watched your videos for years ... you’ll never cease to amaze me ! You’re a wizard when it comes to color. I’ve told so many people, you can look at two cards with identical images on them - when a card is colored properly, with colors blended nicely and well placed highlights, the difference is mind boggling. I’m unable to achieve either of those techniques, but I’m trying, and your explanations are incredibly helpful. Thank you !
Thank you for explaining the colour system I always find it confusing. Love the plane in the 7's the most.
I love the explaination of blending..
Nice use of the markers! Love it.
Thank you Sandy 🙏🏻
Thank you so much Sandy for your detailed, informative videos on the world of blissful copic markers. 😁
I have recently purchased some copic markers. Right away I downloaded your color chart and began to fill it in. I really do appreciate your tutorials. They have been very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you, wonderful information.
This is absolutely the best teaching tutorial I have ever heard!!!!! I have struggled so much with blending, and all your advice helps explain why. I am going to give it a try. I am mostly interested in colouring critter images with natural colours, for cards. Thanks a bunch!!!!
Another awesome video!! If I had practiced your techniques enough that my card would be respectable I would love to send you a card. Maybe next year!!
Great tutorial even though I don’t have Copics. Well, I have three, BG000, BG0000, blender. I have the full set of Spectrum Noir markers. I wish I had Copics, but as just a hobby I can’t justify the investment. Your card turned out so stinkin cute. I love those colors. I really like how you did the lamb, that was cool.
You are an amazing artist and so many unique and different coloring skills to learn in your videos. Thank you for always sharing and spreading your knowledge :)
Thank you for all your hard work; you're very generous!
Fantastic, haven’t used my copics for sometime but now I understand the colour code a little better I think I’ll go back to using them. Thank you .
Hi sandy! I’ve done a couple of your copic jump start classes and really enjoyed them! Glad you’ve done this one though! Hope it incentivises people to sign up...
Thanks for the information
Happy Early Birthday!! Thank you for the detailed explanations. The flick part was extremely helpful as a newer marker student.
Sandy- thank you so much for explaining Copics to us. It has been my wish to explore this further. Yesterday was my birthday. Happy March birthday! You are so very talented. I appreciate the time you took to share your knowledge with us.
Awesome tips!
I so enjoy your videos, especially ones like these.
Great video, thank you
So informative...you’re a talented artist and teacher thank you for sharing
I have send my card! I hope 🤞 it will arrive on time... Love this although I don't own any copics or alcohol markers 😅.. you just have pleasant way of explaining.. so I come and see what it's all about..
Great info on Copics. I will download the chart so I have a good reference. I bought a set of 64 Copics quite a few years ago, It's silly, I know, but I tend to save them for special projects. But I'm starting to use them more (what am I saving them for?). I look forward to sending you a card and joining in your party! TFS
I bought about 75 Copics when I got lucky on a scratch off lottery ticket. I’m not a frequent user either, I just don’t have time. When I finally got back to my markers several had gone dry 😞. It seems as tho the light colored markers dry more quickly, possibly because they contain more alcohol. I bought some refills, and needed replacement brushes as well (changed a few over to fine point nibs). My point is, you’re right, no point saving them for special projects. Use your Copics - have fun !
Great info! Saving to watch again because I can’t seem to keep to keep the info in my brain very long! Would help if I actually got out the Copics I have & used them instead of being intimidated...
Using it is what’ll make it stick 👍🏻
Very informative, thank you :)
Thank you very much for this free class. If there is someone interested, i know a paper on witch alcohol markers don't bleed though. It is a paper from CANSON called "the wall".

what black ink to use for the copic to not bleed black
I like Memento tuxedo black (don’t get the pigment version) or Lawn Fawn jet black (which also works for watercolor) bit.ly/2IF1WxZ
