My dad had one of these, the red colour. It was around '88-'89 he rode it from Auckland down to dunedin to visit. Mum still has the photo of me on it, i was 8 or 9. Ahh the memories. He also had a black bmw r80, and 2 cb 750's, one blue and one red. Naturally i love bikes too, ive got a '91 FJ1200.

Actually sold this a couple years ago. I loved the sound of the GT when it hit its powerband around 6000rpm. I'd definitely buy another if the right one came along.

I especially love the auto cancel on the indicators. Why modern bikes haven't done this beats me.

This would have been my dream,if I only had known it. Ihad a Z500 and kept it while getting a Z1300 340 Kg I kept the Z1300 because 10Liter@100Km at least and it's one thing swimming with a light boat or with a tank. I put the Z 500 4,4-7,2Liter/100Km back on the road and enjoyed the agile swimming with her. A friend had a Z900 wich swam too and also my 2'nd Z500 I mad ~25-30KK per year and I really wanted some more Power (as a daily driver...) 2Front 3 rearwheels and 2 chainkits per year. How much HP does the GT750 have? I was about to get me a new Bandit 600. Still chain yes. But 78HP is the Insurance step in Germany. 34HP 50HP 78HP 100HP and above. But dumb me I listened to the salesman. He said: "It's only 1000€ more to get the 1200Bandit and when you sell it you take the profit". Thought he was right. Nope. People don't pay standart price on an offer. And the nude 1200 Bandit was no fun. I drove it with Dynajet kit,Bos Carbon exhaust,Steelflex breakes. It had 138HP at the wheel.- *T O O M U C H* Fuel economy was great! 4.5-8Liter/100Km ! ;-) If the Bandit would have used both wheels I might have kept her. But having the front wheel so often and much up in the air.... nope no fun.
Your bike would have been my dream. Tell me how many Horses did it have? Did you drive in winter&snow? How was the swimming part? Did you earn captain's license? I know that the GPZ 900 had a good motorcycle chassis. No more swimming ;-) CU!?

Sorry they were on the bike when I bought it. No idea where they were sourced. Good luck with yours. Sold this back when I posted this vid.
