Thanks for the excellent video introducing me to this tool. It's just what I've been looking for and am headed out right now to buy one! I'll let you know how it works. Mark - Westerville, Ohio
I just bought the Ryobi corded drill with the wooden door Trimmer for my Steve's 6 panel Hollow Door and it worked absolutely AMAZING and literally trimmed the door like butter. *I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.*
Great video. I just bought this. I have a bathroom door that in the humid moths won’t even close. The bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the door overlaps the door jamb. I’m not sure if this will hit the floor before the cutter makes it to the bottom or not. (In other words the distance from the front of the tool to the cutter may be greater than the distance from the bottom of the door to the floor, so the floor may stop me from going down all of the way). I’m hoping this keeps me from having to take the door off.
I'm thinking about getting this. I'm an apartment maintenance tech and I'm always working on doors. Getting tired of constantly aligning doors. It gets old after a while. This looks like it would offer a great solution
Jeez, I did not know something like this existed. Was trying to utilize sandpaper (pain in the butt, with a sanding block). Just happened to “Google” something to that affect and it came up with this. So off the YT to see it and saw your video. I will be hitting up my local Home Depot tomorrow to pick one up..
Does this create a lot of wood dust,I have electronics in that room and wondering if I should cover them, also does this trim doors that are painted?? Thx you.
If is like their lock set jig it’s flimsy. Also it looks like it’s going to grind off the edge bevel (2-3 degrees) door slabs come with. The stop side needs the bevel so the door corner doesn’t scrub the buck on opening. Really need a planer with a bevel in the fence. Stanley used to make a long jointer plane with a helical cutter and adjustable fence.
I don't think so, you will need the hinge router template or chisel with skilled hands. ua-cam.com/video/N45hJpf6I74/v-deo.html Check out this video it may help
WOW.....Shame on you for having such an organized cool workshop! I cannot have my wife watch this or she will make me clean up my shop to look like yours !
Thanks for this vid! Great detail. Full and in depth answered all of my questions before I could ask them. I'm buying this
Great review. Just finished my door and was glad to have this resource
I’m replacing doors in my old house too. UGH. Came across this and saw your review! Thanks!!
This tool worked out amazingly for our door. Wish I bought it sooner!

pro trick : you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Zion Alexis Yup, have been using Flixzone for months myself :D
Do you need to replace the sand paper?
Sounds like a great product, although I wish your video showed closeups of the tool, the bit and how it removes the excess layer
Saved me alot of time. Thank You 👍
For about $15 more you could buy a power planer at Harbor Freight.

Would the term Planer be more suitable?
How can I replace the drill bit?
Does this create a lot of wood dust,I have electronics in that room and wondering if I should cover them, also does this trim doors that are painted?? Thx you.
Yes it will shave painted doors, and it does create dust but not much as it collects inside the tool

Love this thing
will this work on the bottom of a door without removing the door? bottom of door swings freely over the wooden floor but rubs along the rug
Yes, just lower your floors.
You’ll need to remove the door
You’ll need to remove the door
Thanks!!
Looks like a good quick solution for wood doors, but what about steel doors, and those that drag on the bottom??
depending on the door they can be shaved with a grinder or frame and hinge adjustment
You should never grind down a steel door. If you have an issue it’s always with the jamb with a steel door.
Better than just sanding?
Does this work on metal doors as well that scrubs?
Nope
What speed will you put the drill at
High
Can this be used to cut the spots for a door hinge?
I don't think so, you will need the hinge router template or chisel with skilled hands. ua-cam.com/video/N45hJpf6I74/v-deo.html Check out this video it may help
No, this tool is for door edges only.
Will this tool make an angle cut?
It follows the angle of the door
Do this use sandpaper to grind it down, or something else?
It’s a blade
How much is it I'm in dubai
Can I use any brand of drill?
Yes, as long as it has an adjustable chuck
what's the Ryobi part number is it?
ya cant find this anywhere
A99dt01
What does "scrub" mean. Is that a local slang for rub? Definitely first time I've heard that word used like that.
Maybe it came from the word "scrape" at some point.
I have never heard it used that way either.
Maybe a regional thing?
It's scrape and rub mixed together
Makes sence, it scrubs the paint off the inside of the jamb.
A scrub is a guy that can’t get no love
Do this tool wook on metal door
No
Does it only work with Ryobi
Any drill will work as long as it has a an adjustable chuck

Imma mill my glock slide with that 😄😄😄
Just use a planner, surly
Too bulky for quick fixes not having to remove doors and logistically this is better
I wonder if you can use it for cutting your hair lol
I heat it works great for a high and tight
Mine works like shit
Just plane it 😂
Do me a favour,
Please! Don't you think a house over 100 years olds deserves a little more care & attention than a a Ryobi Scrubber!
Regular comedian over here, if you think this is all we do!😂🤣😆
He doesn't have to do you any favors... And what's wrong with Ryobi?
