Quick and easy solution for sticking doors
Door removal not necessary with this tool
Attaches to any standard drill for convenient use
Works on 1-3/4" & 1-3/8" size doors
Removes up to 1/32" per pass No need for bulky sanders and planers
I like the fact it doesn't take off too much at a time and seems to leave.a smooth finish.
It convinced me, to use a hand plane.
Bought this, it takes me about 10-12 passes to get 1/8 using an m12 Milwaukee drill. I like the finish but for some reason I can drill at an angle if you put too much pressure on the handle
You may have to start from one end with the front on the door and the cutter off which is 1/32" lower.
Won’t it splinter the door veneer when going cross grain on the top of the door?
Quaint. Faster than sandpaper or a file. And you don’t want it to remove much at a time. Thx.
Best part...it actually works.
Thanks for watching.
Rather just use my Stanley no4, this looks like one of those things you buy on impulse use once and forget
What the heck! Does the drill need to spin the bit Clockwise, or Counterclockwise?
It seems that you do need to take the door off the frame, as the blade doesn't reach the bottom if you don't. I would rather use a planer if the door has to come off. Ryobi should move the blade 1/4" from the edge so the door doesn't need to come off.
How does it trim?
Does it use a blade/sandpaper, or anything that you need to replace it with for when it gets dull?

HI
I got RYOBI HING ROUTER TEMPLATE
but when I use it has curve at both side corner then I have to use chisel to make it right for the hinges . What shoud i get ?
Turn those corner pieces around if you want a 90 degree corner
Its almost like a drill bit but it is more like spiral router bit
Can I use and brand of drill
Hey carl,i was wondering if you know where they can sell replacement bits for the door trimmer?
Cantact Ryobi, Im sure they sell them...but may not be cheap with the s&h. This could be one of thiose items where it is cheaper to buyt the complete kit for $15 than to buy just the bit.
@@ScrollsawVideo ok thanks
This is fine for the top of the door, or the edge opposite the hinges, but for the bottom and hinged sides, it does require removing the door, which is no trouble at all. The one thing that I DO NOT like about this tool, is the handle. I think they could have designed it to be used by either hand in any direction A LOT more comfortably.
Why bother stating the obvious, of course you can't do the bottom or hinge edges with the door installed.....geezz
Tool looks like a nightmare
Do we really need to see you struggle opening the package
LOL
Its rybobi
You need to demonstrate in real world scenario, not four inches at a time.
If I had to door for repair I certainly would. Thanks for watching.
Don’t know why you were worried about closing the blade, obviously it does not cut!!! LOL
Thanks for video and it worked for me!
Jesus is King!
You're welcome!
