- From 40w to 60w is a big difference and with the tilting of the panels I can get around 300wh on a nice day. The solar blanket is a nice upgrade too!

dude! im gonna copy it all xD got a small 22' boat pretty much like yours. and having a foldable system for trip with xt60 connector bloody genius! and 2 small solar for general purpose.
finding like minded people in this range is impossible. glad i found you!
Thanks! Glad I could help!
@@AlexGoesSailing do you still got info on where you got these mono solarpanels?
@@AntimatePcCustom sungold solar is the builder of the panel. Not sure of a uk supplier though.
Great job Alex - smart like tractor!
Thanks James!
Very nice!
Looks like a nice upgrade to your electrical system. Glad to see Sam coming back, feed him some besides bacon and beans this year, maybe he'll hang around. Gordon Ramsay videos Alex, watch some Gordon Ramsay videos.😁
Food does seem to work! I remember when we were building Misumi together and we got through a lot of pizza!
Those panels are great, I have just thrown my old Flexi panel away after it failed, delaminated and terminals came off. Be good if you had time to add the items you installed and a link maybe for anyone following and wanting to copy your upgrades. Also for the previous video with the lithium battery. Andy UK
Yeah I should! The panels are by sunstore uk and for a great price too.
go make some money selling those mounts on etsy.
wonder if you connected the two rear panels parrellel ie both red positives into + @ controller so you have 18 volt approx going to battery or did you do it in series connection at panels red to black from one panel to the other then take the existing black neg- on one panel to controller and the red pos+ on other panel to controller thus putting 36 volts to the controller if they are outputting optimal voltages what ever they,re rated for , this is the correct way to do it victron controller will work more efficiently it will take input 36 volts and optimise the output at battery to give a better charge rate especially when your doing both charging and running a current for electric systems like chart plotter, stereo , lights ect
Series so it gives a max voltage of 44v and no issues with shading unless the sails are blocking the sun.
Great video! Could you post a link to the panels?
They were from sunstore solar here in the uk.
@@AlexGoesSailing thanks!
Can you give me the name or a link to the exact solar panel you're using? I can't find it anywhere online
Sungold solar and I think the panels are the LEE model. They are hard to find from a retailer
@@AlexGoesSailing thanks! I'm considering to copy your setup for my boat.
@@Babbelbob1 do it!!
Ohm's law 101 2 60 watt panels pushing into 12 volts it's about 12 Wh or about one amp going into the battery
Would you sell me some mounts the same?
Can do but you would have to be in the uk and get the same panels if they are still available.
@@AlexGoesSailing Yes, I am on the solent! Which panels are they?
or dimenstions for the panels and I will see if there is like for like.
@@drewpeacock3958 sunstore solar 580x350 was the size.
