I prefer de Chanel by far, but mostly because I'm not so fond of Nautica Voyage. I prefer many other affordable freshies over it, e.g. Zara Vibrant Leather Cologne, Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse, Mercedes Benz Cologne, Lalique White, Mugler Cologne, even Montblanc Starwalker, or even the classic Davidoff Cool Water
How do you think Bleu de Chanel would compare with Nautica Voyage layered with ambroxin and ISO E Super.

I think it's because you asked them the rating after you already told them the brand/price, which really influenced their opinion. The ones who liked Voyage almost seemed embarrassed haha. Next time you should ask them the rating before you tell them the brand/price and see if that changes their reactions. My guess is it def would and they would probably give higher ratings to Voyage

When I first got into frags, Nautica Voyage, Versace Eros EDT, and Tommy Bahama for Men were my first purchases and I truly love all of them. Nautica Voyage gives a lot of bang for your buck and is a must buy if you need a great smelling fragrance and you don't have a lot of money.

@@murarirajvanshi4715 If you're looking for fragrances that offer great bang for the buck, I'd suggest Nautica Voyage, Rochas Moustache Eau de Parfum, and Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT. Some other cheaper options would be Drakkar Noir and Halloween Man.
BDC parfum is the most french cologne I ever smelled. It's sweet and very playful yet also masculine and mature. Could be a signature scent if you're into posh french life.

i have both and i am not so surprised! I think it depends on the weather. If it gehts hotter outside nautica gets better and better to wear 👍 Bleu is a classic and goes for every weathercondition.

The matchup was really nice... In many countries of Latin America the Nautica Voyage is known as "La Mata Nichos" (the niche killer), I'm sure is simply because it's affordable and pretty good for the price.

Can't argue with the quality per dollar value of Nautica Voyage. I agree that Blue de Chanel smells good but it's so well known it's hard to stand out if you wear it. Dylan Blue or Aqua Atlantique is more unique and much less expensive. Look forward to more vs. battles...Good Job Michella.

I had the Voyage and the Sport. Both of them were favorites of my Wife. I need to buy the Voyage again it was a great fragance for day-time and sometimes for the night.

Well, I had Nautica, but never wore it... every other fragrance I own was better choice when I was deciding what to wear. Finally, I gave it to my friend and he is happy. It is not bad, but there is always a better fragrance. It's good when you have 3 fragrances.
And I finally bought Bleu De Chanel after years of avoiding to buy it because fragrance reviewers say "it's boring, generic, too expensive..." Let me be clear - it's not, it's a modern classic! Maybe they say that because it's not challenging, it's easy to wear and everybody seem to like it. But all reviewers agree on Chanel quality.
I am super happy with my 150ml purchase (parfum) and it' not so expensive per ml when you buy this size.
Another great thing about Chanel is that you can't buy it cheaper than in the store so you can do the old school shopping in the store after spending some time trying other fragrances that you will later buy cheaper online. Finally you buy the biggest Chanel and walk out of the store like gentleman with maybe some testers if you are lucky.
You did a very good job Michella, I remember the last time you did a similar test, this was so good getting original responses from people Nautica did not score badly considering the cost and as you point out Chanel has the molecules which must add to its appeal. It would be interesting to see further comparisons like this obtaining genuine first hand reactions brilliant, thank you Michella. X 💥❤️🏆

The entire Nautica line is the best value in colognes. Period. Not just Voyager but Blue Sail and Blue Ambition as well. Fresh, aquatic, insanely high projection and longevity. Guys, don't get blinded by name.and high price alone. True, you get what you pay for sometimes, but there is also such a thing as an amazing value.
As Michella noted, the reactions when told the price of Nautica vs Chanel Bleu says a lot about the power of marketing and psychology. We like to all think we are fair and objective but we are not
Look at how easily the women were swayed by name and price and we men are no better in this regard.
Bleu de chanel parfum it's one of my daily drivers. The bootle i own it's from 2019, and it has great performance with 6/7 sprays max. Can last up to 24 hours on my skin, and truly irradiates of it with a beautiful projection, and on many ocasions it's a head turner 😎. It was expensive, but one of my best fragrance buys, a true jewel on my collection. Truly one of the definitive signature scents 💙

Really nice concept of videos. It's easy to get lost in fragrances addiction and this video keep our head cool. I personally prefer to wear Versace pour homme as a cheap summer fragrance than Voyage because Voyage smell a little synthetic for my nose and it makes me cough. And I think that Dylan Blue is more close to the vibe of BDC, Nautica is very summer and sharp clean(like Versace pour homme). It's doesn't have the sex appeal of Dylan or BDC

True! the scent is not bound for their price but for their uniqueness.
Bleu de Chanel is great but it only last a couple years on the shelf then it starts to smell rotten. I stored it lower than room temp and still spoiled. I had to throw more than half of it away because of this. For this reason, I choose Nautica Voyage.

My chanel babies last less than 5 months. I use it almost every day. EVERY DAY.
I've had my bleu de chanel (edt) since 2017, almost empty now after 7 years, but still nothing "rotten" about it. If anything it's gotten richer with time and maceration. Are you sure your bottle was authentic? Sounds like you've been duped if your fragrances are going bad so easily
I wear Nautica down the gym all the time , it’s perfect for that situation as it’s cheap , you’re going to smell like crap after an hour of squatting so why waste an expensive fragrance ….you’re absolutely right about peoples reaction when I tell them it cost £20 , they’re suddenly not as interested , I trick my girlfriend with cheap fragrances all the time so it just goes to show cheap doesn’t always mean crap .

How about Nautica Voyage vs D&G Light Blue Intense?
I used to wear 1million pretty regularly & I got a bottle of Cuba Royal. I could wear 1 Million one day & Royal the next and people couldn't tell them apart. They are very similar except for longevity. But for a $90 price difference I will reapply as needed. Both fragrances came out at almost the same time & it makes you wonder who actually copied who?
Good video Curly. I have Nautica Blu and my only complaint is that it doesn't last. Wish it did because it smells nice & clean.
Voyage is not meant to be sexy.. I don't wear it much but when I do it's for a fresh and clean vibe it's something I wear when I'm not trying to be noticed I don't expect compliments while wearing it but surprisingly I've gotten quite a few good ones.

Blue De Channel vs Versace Dylan Blue next?
Girls don't know the brand or price, that made me feel happy lol, cause Voyage is my hot day (Costa Rica) use fragrance. Compliment getter. Of course I would like to try Bleau some day :) Eros EDT laks of durability and performance. I sprayed 5 times thinking it was enough. I think no one noticed cause I didn't get compliments. Taking into account that I'm mostly among women 6 hours a day. Eau de parfum is the one.

Ha, well done Dutchies. 👍 Only used BDC EDT & sampled BDC P but I never pulled the trigger on the latter. ADG Profumo & Dior Homme Original is my combo for work/special occasions atm. If I want to smell nice & truly inoffensive Explorer doest the job as it doesn't project enormously.

I have some really good cheapies in my collection that continue to impress, but blind buying Midnight Voyage was one of my biggest regrets. Four sprays and gave it away, lmao.
I like Midnight Voyage. It's like a slightly fresher take on Dior Sauvage. I have sprayed them side by side and, while the Sauvage is obviously the better of the two, there are a lot of similarities. They are closer than many would want to admit. Plus, I love that you can still smell the original Voyage DNA as well.

Nice observations. Make it really difficult and ask them to smell the Blue fragrances like Bleu de Chanel, Mercedes Cologne, and Versace pour Homme.
I think what would be a good test is based off time. 30 minutes, 2 hours, 4 hours and 12 hours would be interesting to see who likes what.....
because if you spray then they're getting the instant results and that can be misleading to the longevity of the scent.
Not a big deal but you could get them to give a number first and only then tell them which is the more expensive one (and reveal the brand name). These street reviews you do are great! ☀️
