Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

3:00 am, struggling with the flesh, cried out to God. to stop these thoughts, this Sermon came up on my phone, preached on my birthday 100yrs ago, so wise and timely, Praise The Father's love, Jesus's Sacrifice ,The Spirits Holiness...Amen
Spurgeon was a master of simplicity in preaching. His sermons can still be grasped by 21st century hearers even after more than 100 years!

T.his is perhaps one of the most encouraging sermons, for the christian, that I've heard in a long while. Spurgeon did an excellent job expounding on those verses in Romans.
When I was a young man, we did civil war reenacting, had a nice time with it. When he was talking about the battlefield and it's destruction from the canons and troops, I can say he nailed it. I've seen properties tore all too pieces, and we were trying to be nice about it all.. That being said.. I can see clearly how the heart would look as such. It's a blessing to watch these, thanks for posting!!
God says we can overcome all thing's through Christ who strengthens us and the comforter our help.

It's been a blessing listening to this sermon. The televangelists of this world pale in comparison to the mastery, sincerity and in depth knowledge of the Word by Charles Spurgeon
His example of new holy nature and old evil nature is so true when he points out that they can't live peacefully in the same house in emnity . Where when far apart things are easier to ignore. I just wish he used more scripture to reference therefore listen prayerfully for discernment.

Great sermon to start a new year.
I had heard of Spurgeon but never listen to any sermons until now. Im blown away. The Lord showed me this stuff. Referred the soul and body as Jacob and Esau battling over territory. Also something about the birthright and being born again. Spurgeon mentioned Adam and Eve in the garden. Something about that in genesis caught my eye. Eve disobeyed twice. Her first sin was touching the fruit. She touched something that wasn't hers and then ate some of it. She didn't have permission either. That's a thief. I knew the "touched it" meant something. That bugged me too. This pastor is wonderful. I love church and to hear the word preached but it seems like preachers are getting further and further away from THE word. I think some things don't need to be tampered with for a popularity vote.
Amén my sister. Unfortunately this generation doesn’t like this kind of preaching because it doesn’t align with how they want to live. They call these type of preachers “HATERS” they like diluted gospel preached bc it makes them think they can live how they want and still serve the flesh as they please. May the bride of Christ be made ready. I believe many who think that are saved will get a rude awakening.

Allister Beg excuse me if I have spelling wrong / gave a sermon on Spurgeon nailed it / much hi praise on his humbleness and his oratory skills etc / he never strayed from giving christ the credit / as compassionate as you will find an evangelist Allister rated him as right up with St John the Baptist etc for his integrity for never straying from the word of God/ and giving christ the credit I never have heard any 1 that comes as close to being christlike in his thoughts and comments and sermons etc as The Prince of preachers Charles Spurgeon greatly blessed by god
