2.5 hrs logged in yesterday on ubereats and I got 1 order $7. I logged out and went home. I'm not sitting outside logged in running my AC wasting my money to make this company rich. I applied to 2 jobs yesterday. It's sad I drive all day and can't afford to eat myself even though I bring ppl food all day
I agree with you 100%. Uber and lyft are evil companies just try to make the drivers go broke by stealing wages from them.

Im against the $25 "minimum wage" $25 really? we use our own equipment, We have to fight against $25 HR. We have to get at least 35 40 HR.
It cost around 30$ an hour to run a vehicle. Lyft an uber only operate because the drivers are footing the bill. And its hidden an misleading. Ask every passenger “would lyft be in business if they had to pay the insurance, fuel, wc insurance, and a decent hourly pay (30$)? Nope. Or they would and that 12$ fare would be around 45. Only gig apps can change your pay on the fly. Its about time people went beserk. I say get rid of gig apps.
Drivers’ pay should be based on mileage, mins, and peak/ demanding time hours. With Tax reduction due to expenses.
don't forget we pay for our own health insurance, sick or vacation pay too 😊
@@usrIO30581l no there is more to it , insurance, wc insurance, time off, provided vehicle. the cost that lyft an uber are putting on the drivers is astronomical. its time the gig app industry is forced to obey the law. its infuriating to see doordash ad "no fee delivery". doordash should be outright eliminated. I seen a dasher today. take 5 plates from a local place. he waits in his van for ten minutes. walks like a slow mule back inside an grabs another plate. so he sat there with peopels food. defiled it. let it get cold. to pickup a second order. ya. order with gig app like that at your own risk.

I like the new law in Minneapolis 4:02 for 1.28 per mile and .28 per minute. I do not know how Uber charges but I had an airport passenger pay 40 bucks and I got $13.00.
I also get trips paying 49 cents per mile after they take their 45 to 60% of the fair. Seems like an abusive and predatory algorithm setup
In Minneapolis uber will just raise their "fees" to guarantee them 50%.
Did it in my market.
In Massachusetts we used to get 1.35 per mile and 23 cents per minute until one day at 4 am the app said you can’t go online unless you agree to the addendum, so we had to agree to work, after that we found that they cut the pay to .85 $ per mile
Dynamic price is something simple like an Auction when the company offers theirs trips for pennies if no driver takes it they increase that sh*t trip another cents until a desperate driver fight for the trip and take it. 🤷♂️
With Lyft over the last six months, the known slow period of time is when the surge bonuses pop up, not because it is busy but to incentivize the driver to stay online for the one or two riders that might want to do a ride during that hour. Same thing with the 10-40% bonus times. I live in a small town in western Maryland and that’s the only time we see surge pricing is when wait times are 5-10 minute estimates on Lyft or 1 AM on Uber and all the local drivers went to bed because it’s not worth it.

If drivers were just to start converting to Independent personal rides hat would just shut them down completely, but remember to do it legaly with tcp and commercial insurance and start poaching thier clients at thier rates you would get a 50% raise for the same work
Why make those fkn investors rich. All the money should come to us after paying for comercial insurance and only a monthly fee for the app. I am hoping for Wridz to come to California soon and put uber and lyft out of business
When passengers tip Uber charges them more on the upfront cost because they don't mind spending a little bit of money. So if a passenger is tipping through the app, the algorithm is keeping up with that to charge them more.

"You are lying" or "It's not true" is Basically this is what Uber has been and will continue to say when we ask the drivers: 1) Ask the riders how much they paid for the fare, 2) drivers show the riders how much we're getting paid for the ride, 3) take a picture of the passengers screenshot of the fare.

Same trips different pricing is true. A driver who has exceeded the hourly earning will get the same trip at a lower price vs a driver who is below the hourly mark may receive the same trip at a higher price and this will continue through out the day the week the month the year. The yearly bench mark is set for driver earning rest is all CASINO play just to fool the drivers that they are winning but actually they are not. No matter what you do cherry pick keep driving you will make the same money at the end of the year.
This is the very reason they don’t show you your monthly totals so you cannot compare or see your actual earnings. They keep you in the dark so they can keep playing CASINO with the drivers. The push and pull strategy with the same low paying money, just like when you go fishing, tier the fish by GIVING IT HOPE WHEN REELING OUT AND GRIEF WHEN PULLING IN.

I noticed since I started cherry picking and my acceptance rating going down that uber does not send me as many offers as before. So this shows that their algorithm is discriminating against me

I noticed this dynamic pricing crap especially when u drive at night in the suburbs and there’s not enough Uber drivers around. Like they would throw a $8 trip and when u deny it, the same trip comes back as a $10 trip. Or when u deny a trip, u noticed the surge comes back on and then the same trip is thrown back with the surge. Dispicable

Yeah Lyft and Uber has had it. I noticed that now I’m making close to $21 an hour and not 25 as they don’t consider rides that are 4.8 or 4.90 or less and wanting you to drive 25 minutes for 11 or 12 dollars
Funny how "independent contractors" don't get to see how the ride offers are calculated, nor do "Independent contractors" get to dictate how much they are willing to do a ride for. Unions re not necessary in this debate, drivers have all the power by not accepting any ride which pay less than $2 per mile and $30 per hour. If nobody accepted those pigeon runs, Uber and Lyft would be forced to rethink their strategy. So, y'all got to get better at quick math and keep that AR around 5% through cherry picking.
I always check my ride in the rider app and then let the passenger know just how much they are sending to a billionaire in San Francisco. I don't want them to make the difference up in the form of a tip, I want to flip them to a private ride. I opted out of arbitration and I have commercial insurance and an LLC, so Uber and Lyft are not getting a professional driver with a clean black luxury car for $0.50 a mile! These ride offers are a referral to me and if Uber is not paying me fairly, then I am going to make a better offer to the passenger.
If you are a passenger, educate yourself! The reason a ragged-out Hyundai shows up, full of trash with stained seats is because this is a race to the bottom. Order an Uber or Lyft Black, offer the driver cash and cancel the ride. This is the only way you can help us fix this terrible scam. Take the money away from these tech criminals and support local small business. 99% of the Uber Black and Lyft Black drivers I know have a business and would be happy to give you a clean, safe ride for the same price as Uber. If you don't like this idea, then enjoy the ride in a filthy Camry.
How can you say Lyft is the same as Uber? You don't drive for Lyft. I do. At least Lyft has transparency that admits they're screwing their drivers. Uber is afraid to admit it. Last night, Sergio told Uber to do what Lyft is doing, and admit the shenanigans.

Ever since they introduced the Standard vs Advantage mode it has been totally ridiculous! I have been noticing lower pay and slower trips to airports. Like yeah you can go to the airport and wait in queue but my point is to get a drop off and then a pick up at the airport. Also they have been changing their interface frequently which is bothersome and confusing for drivers. They need to raise the pay CEOs getting rich with cutting our pay. Smh can’t even imagine
I had an interesting experience on Lyft with a long scheduled ride. It was a long drive into areas with no cell receiption. The customer changed the destination by about 6 miles. When I asked for more money because the destination changed, support basically said, well we'll just give you the original fare (40+ dollars more).
I love how easy it is for a such rider can get drivers address but no transparent pay
