A person with schizophrenia or suffering from delusions can very well be aware that what they believe doesn’t make sense. It’s not a cut and dry state of mind - it’s very confusing and complex. A lot of times they feel tormented by these delusions and hallucinations bc while they may know it’s not real, it feels incredibly real. Also, think about it. If you know that something that feels 100% real isn’t real, it messes with you concept of reality. It becomes difficult to discern what is or is not real. It’s a pretty horrible experience.
Oh goodness the baby one.. this sadly isn’t the first time I’ve heard of something like that. My coworker when I lived in Philly was a retired cop and told me one of the most haunting stories that lead him to retire early that echos of this. It was a drug bust in an old apartment building- they were suppose to try and locate the child that was reported in the home but couldn’t find them. They were questioning the mother where the baby was when she told them he was in the microwave.. you could see in his eyes it still haunts him. There wasn’t anything that he could have done differently, they acted as quickly as they could- but you would never anticipate someone doing that to their own child.

I recommend doing research on postpartum psychosis and its devastating effects. A lot of women have killed their children while suffering from it.

That was actually what I was thinking about, it would be more believable as a mix-up if there was an uncooked chicken in the crib.

I heard the urban legend that a babysitter took some drugs and caused her to confuse a turkey for the baby and put the baby in the oven and turkey in the crib before passing out for the parents to find it

yeah don't mess with german train tracks, that will 100% result in everything shutting down and the federal police showing up. We take our trains very serious here. Even without doing... that, if you get spotted on active train tracks, even just crossing them, it's a whole ordeal.
Yesterday I took the train from Dresden to Berlin, and it was very late and switched platform several times. Doesn't seem like they take their trains very serious at all.

As a kid I had horrific intrusive thoughts and hallucinations. I frequently "saw" my baby brothers every time I opened the oven. I can't imagine doing that on purpose. Just the thought of it lowkey traumatized me.

Cannabis consumption can induce psychosis. It is not common though. I am wondering how they proved after the fact that she was psychotic at the time of the killing (and also that she was pressured into consuming more than she wanted..).
i know it's uncommon, but it IS possible for weed to induce short-term psychosis. it's genuinely possible that she went into a temporary psychosis, so i don't know why everyone is so quick to write it off. just because it doesn't happen to most people when they smoke weed doesn't mean it never happens. it's a medically understood and accepted phenomenon, albeit a tragic one.

Tired of people saying preheating is the “gotcha” moment when it literally doesn’t mean anything. If she was in psychosis, she could still function normally and just think she was putting food in there. I don’t know if that’s what happened though. I recommend doing research on postpartum psychosis and its devastating effects. A lot of women have killed their children while suffering from it.

So it may not strictly be that. It also lines up with the fact they wasn't in a biohazardous container, either, since, well...she couldn't exactly transfer them to such a container while they were in his possession.
Even still, if they were my balls, I'd be pissed if someone wouldn't let me have them back, it seems a little silly to suggest that there's no worth to them after removal. Plenty of people keep parts of their body that they've lost, this one's just...y'know, testicals.

I really needed these few minutes of escape from dealing with a very injured sweet dog girl who almost died from seadtion after two vet visits to get diagnosed with a torn ligament in her rear leg needing surgery which will require... More sedation.
