Zane Hudgeons you did a great job. My bed is rusted out on my 2005 f250. And people want to much for a bed that is in rough shape. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Interesting video, and a good use of standard size lumber. To increase your selection of drill bits, see if there are any used tool stores or flea market traders who have got old US made auger or flat bits. Even if they're a bit rusty, they'll clean and sharpen up, and last longer than buying cheap imports at a big box store. Garage sales will often have a box or two of old tools going cheap. One reason jobs like this take longer than they used to is the distractions that our phones bring! Neighbours and friends dropping by to shoot the breeze, now that's just one of the benefits of being in a workshop/garage! Looking forward to Part 3. :-)
cool. I don't normally like wood beds but this one doesn't look half bad. what might look awesome ,go online and order from a truck chrome shop 4" L. E. D. lights for back run them all the way across ,u should be able to fit 8 of them. and the best brand is Truck Light they are super bright! GOOD JOB
conceptually those "bars" are awesome
I'm in the process of building a wooden bed for my ranger and I really like the way you built the roll so I'm stealing that idea 😅😅😅
11/10 I need a bed like this. Great job man! Cant wait for part 3!
Thank you so much! That means a ton to me!

Nice work. Beefier than I thought it 'd be. Hope it holds up under the wear and tear.

Thank you very much! I'll definitely look into that! Thanks for the suggestion!
Nice. Thanks for sharing
Wouldn't it make more sense to point the light bar toward the bed?
I have the exact same ranger. How did you go about getting the frame of the bed to sit flat on the truck frame?
zachary holmes Part one of this build explains it all! Thanks for the comment!
Bruhhhh My name is Zane and I also have a red flat bed Ford Ranger. What are the odds.
How many hours did you put into this project? You need to make a storyboard. For video.
Sure that's all you guys did... i believe you
?
Wheres part 3? Nice build btw looks real good
Jonathan Duran it's in the works, been too busy with school lately😔
to help with putting the video in order, the clips should have dates and times on them
When you cant weld
More so, "when wood is cheaper than metal"
Zane Hudgeons lol yeah true, but i dont know how to weld tho haha
Oh thats why you commented on my video. I didnt mean it to be offensive lol cause i cant weld
Im building a very similar headache rack due to the fact that I can weld however I do not have a shop/ garage or welding equipment.
I love the old wooden truck bed look a lot as well.
