I made it to the end Brodie. I know you appreciate that but boy was it hard. This angers me beyond words. And I’m a Dodger fan. Why should I care? Because it affects the game I love. You cannot mistreat the fans. And that is precisely what MLB is allowing to happen.
Fisher “can’t wait to see Aaron Judge hit home runs here.” Well I saw him hit several home runs at the Coliseum and it was very “easy” for him- it will be hilarious at Sac. The ball will be in the water or hitting someone on the Delta Queen. I hope this Bougie-Ball is an epic failure.

SLC already approved funding for a new stadium just in case a team is willing to come. Imagine the irony of Utah getting to sports teams because two owners were too incompetent and money hungry in different markets
I’d chalk it up to there aren’t many resellers in the game yet, looks like only 50 or so on stub hub and single digits on seat geek. Would it be correct to assume they represent businesses that bought season tix packages specifically to resell? If so, prices should go down as single game tix become available.
It's speculators the A's haven't even put out their pricing yet. This is one of the many reasons why I don't touch resellers. This should be out right illegal.

April 15 in Chicago, April 25 in Sacramento. The big risk with that would be paying the inflated prices and then possibly losing to the far and away worst team of 2024.
I’m from Oakland and lived there all my life. Moved one year ago to Sacramento area. Knowing what I used to pay in Oakland, I will NOT pay that over inflated ticket prices. Plus it is hot as hell here in Sacramento, I’ll stay home with my A/C thank you very much!
Just subscribed to your channel. From the looks of things, these prices for MLB games are out of control. Haven’t been to a game since 2018 here. Don’t have the time to do it right now. Great job with your videos. Keep up the great work. Look forward to the next one.
The park was, and I'm sure still is, a really nice place to watch AAA baseball. To see a MLB game there on a regular basis will be an experience. No matter where you sit, you'll be very close to the action. There are no bad seats.
@Leftylobber We went to the Memorial Day game back in 2001. Day game, and the temp was 106. Not long after the game started most of the fans had abandoned their seats and moved up to the concourse to watch in the shade.
I’m a Giants fan and I’ve attended a Sacramento River Cats game. It is going to be real easy to boycott the A’s in that skillet they call a stadium. People complain about Levi’s stadium heat but never went to a noon game early July when it is 107 out in Sutter field. They sold out of the strawberry and orange slushie drinks by the 7th because of the heat.
I went to see the three games the A's played in Baltimore this year and my tickets were around $40 a game. They were in the middle of the upper deck and between the dugouts. Those A's prices are crazy.
This is akin to when the Chargers player at the Galaxy’s stadium in Carson. They are charging a premium for a unique venue, but what happens if the A’s plans to move into Vegas falls through? Once the novelty is gone if the A’s aren’t competitive then where’s the value proposition when you can likely get a cheaper ticket in San Francisco?
They knew going there that there was a 10,000 seat limit. I have no sympathy for either the owner or for spectators who pay that much for tickets--after three months, I can't imagine they would sell any tickets for more than what they did in Oakland. But suckers born every minute.
Single game tickets aren't even available yet so these are I'm guessing season ticket holders or someone with the means to buy tickets hoping to sell them to some idiot at a higher price? Wait til the entire season is available to the public to see how out of line prices are.
The seat prices will probably lower as sumpply/demand becomes more apparent, but this reminds me of an interesting paradox that played out when the NHL was in Atlanta. The less popular a sports team is, the fewer ads & sponsorships it attracts ... and the more of its income has to come from ticket sales! A team making bajillions in ad revenue can afford to offer stuff like dollar bleacher seats, midweek specials, etc. But a less financially secure team can't.
Governors club tickets get you access to Solon Club. That's it. Basically, private bathrooms and food/bar area ( food is not included). Parking is not included.
This is just due to hype right now. The resale tickets will quickly drop once the season starts and no one shows up. And more importantly, since they are not going to be selling out, why would anyone need resale tickets anyway? They'll just go to the team's website and buy direct.
These tickets are outrageously expensive by baseball standards - I paid about $200 + fees for a very good, lower level seat just beyond third base for Saturday night's Yankees - Royals playoff game. Also note that there is no open, web based public sale of A's tickets by the A's; the website directs you to call them for season ticketing opportunities. I assume these tickets are being offered for sale by a few people who bought season tickets and are testing the waters. We'll have to wait until single tickets go on sale later to really get a sense of pricing - there's no doubt they will be higher than in Oakland due to the novelty factor and the much smaller seating capacity.
Is coach prime now managing this team?? This is colorado football 2.0. Avg ticket for them Is about $200. If this was the coli with a new owner and higher payroll i would pay but nothing more than $100 a seat. This is the start of a downward spiral for the a's leaving oakland. Noones paying them prices to see a triple aaa team in a triple aaa park
This makes sense. I mean you are getting to see the top athletes of the profession for the first time in Sac at a minor league park with super limited seating and not as much security or with the amenities one is accustomed to at a regular season game. This is basically a Spring Training game experience. Also, the Cubs have a HUGE following like the GIANTS Yanks Cards doyers mets. Pretty realistic
It’s kind of pathetic that Fisher would be willing to take a potential loss rather than keeping the team in Oakland. Personally, he should’ve been forced to sell the team. He doesn’t care about a single thing in this situation. I wish a lot of misfortune on him.
averages can be heavily influenced by the high end. it would be interesting to see what the average minimum ticket prices are across stadiums, and the median ticket price.
@@stevepeterson3622 Really ❓ Shame, chance to have a unique uniform for fans to collect Too Bad, they should have had a fan contest to design the uniforms Huh 🤔
Brodie: Interesting take on ticket revenue. Here's my thought: recently I looked up how much each team receives in revenue sharing and TV revenue before they even open the gates. If the numbers were correct, all teams except the top ten in salary could meet their salary obligations without selling a ticket! So, why do we still have to hear about small market teams not being able to compete or teams like the A's potential charging 4 or 5 times what other teams are charging for tickets? Thanks for your insights into this and other topics. A big fan of your videos.
That price is f'ing ridiculous to play at a Minor League. I remember how the attendance was meager at the Coliseum, but I expect it'll be worse in Sacramento, at THAT price
Quick question, has anyone ever talked about Omaha as a temporary location? They have a stadium that is MLB size and just needs a few upgrades that is empty save for 3 weeks a year
I live in Sacramento and would like to see the novelty of a major league team playing in a small ballpark, but not at those prices. That said, I could see others paying that much. There will be some people coming from the Bay Area, some locals, some people from Las Vegas who want to see their new team, and the people from around the country who want to see their teams playing in a small ballpark. Will those numbers add up to 10,000 per night? Maybe.
Stubhub ticket prices are always going to be more expensive buying them through a 3rd party then buying them directly from the team. But the real question is how is so many of the tickets available on stubhub before they're available to purchase directly from the team itself?
It would be interesting to know what prices the A's actually charged for the tickets. What were the face value of the tickets. The secondary market is usually highter. Is there a way for you to report the amount the A's actually charged for the tickers.
The average cost to attend an MLB game does seem high. According to the internet, less than 40% of an MLB team's revenue comes from the gate/attendance. Perhaps if they lowered ticket prices it might increase their fan base more, which might increase their revenue in merchandising, cooperate sponsorships, and TV game packages.
I can't wait to see Fisher and Co. flop in Sacramento. I can see decent attendance in April while this is new, but ticket prices and the heat will make crowds at the Coliseum look huge by comparison.
This is outrageous. I paid $204 for the final home game at the coliseum. for 4 seats in section 110. Aint no way travelling to Sacramento in the hottest time of the year to watch baseball. Yet another place John Fisher will never show up to.
Not sure how this works, but do the A’s get a cut of the ticket resale? Or does the ticket holder pocket the difference over face value? There’s not a bad seat in the house at Sutter Health with excellent sight lines. You’re really on top of the action. The Coliseum was nifty before Mt. Davis although the massive foul territory kept us fans back somewhat. I suspect fans will sellout game’s throughout their stay here. Sacramento is a baseball town and fans have a high tolerance for losing. The loyalty to the Kings over the years is proof of that concept. Fisher needs to sell and Oakland got the shaft. Bottom line is Northern California deserves two MLB teams. Full stop. Preferably in Oakland of course. I can only hope we can complicate the move or at least get MLB attention. In the meantime, bring the hometown Sactown heroes back to the A’s: Dusty out of retirement, Logan Webb, Rowdy Tellez, Mauricio Dubon, Rhys Hoskins and James Outman. That would be fun!
You’re missing one very important point. You’re seeing re-sale prices. Meaning that ticket has already been sold. If someone won’t pay $500 re-sale, it’s already sold! Every game will be an official sell out. The market will do what it does for re-sale. They will start high. They will come down. But the original purchaser will use the ticket or it will be re-sold for what the market bears. Sacramento will support the heck out of the A’s in every. single. season, they’re in SAC.
Fair point. It will be disappointing if the sun doesn’t rise tomorrow as well. Every game will. Even when the River Cats began in the 90’e, quite a frenzy for even AAA. Sac Republic, minor league soccer. Ticket frenzy for a few years breaking minor league records. And again, that’s minor league stuff. The Kings at Arco sold out almost every game. The Kings, last year, did as well. Every game. The town is sports crazy. The re-sale ticket price angle is buzz worthy, for sure.

I got a 2nd deck seat for $40 in their 'club' section.
I made it to the end Brodie. I know you appreciate that but boy was it hard. This angers me beyond words. And I’m a Dodger fan. Why should I care? Because it affects the game I love. You cannot mistreat the fans. And that is precisely what MLB is allowing to happen.
For $2419 the governors club, is Newsom going to be severing me tacos? That might be worth it.
For lower bowl seats that seems on the high side but not wildly out of line Lack of 15,000 upper deck seats wrecks the average.
Too bad Bonds wasn't still playing!
@@ninersdd21And even Mark McGwire.
Whew! That's VERY steep!
They will have a hard time filling that small ball park with those prices.
I just traveled to all the MLB stadiums this year, was planning on going to Sacramento to check out this park. That’s a hell no for me with those prices lol
Yes, good and tell your friends! Trying to lower this unprecedented demand.
They have to fund the new retractable roof stadium in the Sacramento Railyards when the Vegas deal falls through.
I'm in Vegas and a baseball fan. I can only hope the deal falls through. I don't want a Fisher owned team here. I want a new expansion team instead.
@@Johnfisher12345 your defense of fisher in the comments is hilarious, fishers a cheap fuck who doesn’t even wanna fund himself a stadium in Vegas. You think Vegas wants the A’s? Most of them didn’t even want the raiders when they moved there😂
@@alohastate8256if Vegas falls through they won’t stay in Sacramento. Utah is next in line
Fisher won't make it that far...
I wonder if this plan falls through will end up like what happened to the coyotes and inevitably lands them in SLC with entirely different owners.
SLC already approved funding for a new stadium just in case a team is willing to come.
Imagine the irony of Utah getting to sports teams because two owners were too incompetent and money hungry in different markets
Excellent breakdown. of an insane business model,
I’d chalk it up to there aren’t many resellers in the game yet, looks like only 50 or so on stub hub and single digits on seat geek. Would it be correct to assume they represent businesses that bought season tix packages specifically to resell? If so, prices should go down as single game tix become available.
Basically makes up my mind about trying to support them in town. I was conflicted about it, but this solves that.
Given the timing, and where the tickets are listed, are these even real tickets or is this just speculators posting?
It's speculators the A's haven't even put out their pricing yet.
This is one of the many reasons why I don't touch resellers. This should be out right illegal.
I live in Sac and im waiting til year 2 to go, after the hype dies down. Btw Sorry, Oakland! We almost lost the Kings, TWICE!..., so i would never want to steal your team.
April in Sacramento is more likely to be in the mid 70s and maybe some rain. A day game would be much nicer than a night game.
1/3 of the capacity of the Oakland Coliseum. 3x the price. Makes sense to me. 😮
This is like 10x the price from a few years ago.
They're still gonna get the same attendance as at the Coliseum.
Ill wait for the White Sox games!
April 15 in Chicago, April 25 in Sacramento. The big risk with that would be paying the inflated prices and then possibly losing to the far and away worst team of 2024.
Good choice. You'll have 10,623 seats to yourself... 😃
I've never seen triple digit prices for MLB before
Always an informative point of view. Thanks from a Oakland A's fan now in Phoenix
would never pay that much. I didn't pay that much for Phillies playoff tickets.
I wish I could short these tickets
Going to Candlestick to see the Giants in1968, the bleacher seats were about $1.50. Even factoring in inflation, these A's prices are nutty.
No way.
Even with all of THEM in NYC seats in Yankee Stadium go unused.
$$$$$$$$$……mic drop
It is an incredibly intimate stadium. It's unbelievably beautiful until 5pm 🌅🌆👀🔥👨🦯
@Leftylobber We went to the Memorial Day game back in 2001. Day game, and the temp was 106. Not long after the game started most of the fans had abandoned their seats and moved up to the concourse to watch in the shade.
These prices are pure insanity, no chance in hell of spend more than $50 to attend a single game🤮
With today’s economy there won’t be many sold … and that ball park gets really warm during day games
What are face value tix @Brodie , not high markup secondary market tix?
The UA-camrs will love it. They can make videos titled "I paid $2500 to watch a Major League team play at a Minor League park!!".
very true!
People who disagreed with me saying scalping is the problem... O.K.👌
Expensive ❓
Smaller stadium 🏟️
Odd
Sacramento should give a discount 😂
They’re banking on it being a small crowd. That it will be more intimate.
They'll just go to the team's website and buy direct.
they're not going to be selling out? that would be a huge red flag.
Thanks for keeping it real, Brodie!
Hey Brodie You're always welcome across the Bay! Giants will treat you right!! 😁
Compare to prices in Oakland?
Is coach prime now managing this team?? This is colorado football 2.0. Avg ticket for them Is about $200. If this was the coli with a new owner and higher payroll i would pay but nothing more than $100 a seat. This is the start of a downward spiral for the a's leaving oakland. Noones paying them prices to see a triple aaa team in a triple aaa park
I guess there won’t be anymore “$2 Wednesday” Tickets.
Ya mean this doesn't include onsite Stomper babysitting services
For fans in the Sac area, it would be cheaper to Uber to San Francisco and watch the A's play the Giants at Oracle Park.
averages can be heavily influenced by the high end. it would be interesting to see what the average minimum ticket prices are across stadiums, and the median ticket price.
Was hoping to see the Mariners play on Wednesday May 7, most likely a day game.
$161 for a single ticket? No thanks.
Question ❓
Is there going to be a Sacramento A’s Jersey & Hat available ❓
Still going to say Oakland ❓
They say they're just going to be called the A's or Athletics during their stay in Sacramento.
@@stevepeterson3622 Really ❓
Shame, chance to have a unique uniform for fans to collect
Too Bad, they should have had a fan contest to design the uniforms
Huh 🤔
They are not the Sacramento A’s, they’re just playing there while they wait for Vegas to play out so…no.
@@SlipKid1975 LOL 😂
Fans are up for a wake up call come 2026, 2027, 2028
Sacramento is a baseball town that happens to have a basketball team. The demand for these tickets will be unlike anything the MLB has ever seen.
No it won’t
Brodie: Interesting take on ticket revenue. Here's my thought: recently I looked up how much each team receives in revenue sharing and TV revenue before they even open the gates. If the numbers were correct, all teams except the top ten in salary could meet their salary obligations without selling a ticket! So, why do we still have to hear about small market teams not being able to compete or teams like the A's potential charging 4 or 5 times what other teams are charging for tickets? Thanks for your insights into this and other topics. A big fan of your videos.
That’s ridiculous but doesn’t surprise me.
Brodie what tablet and drawing pen do you use?
The absolute worst price to fan experience value in all of global sports!😢🤬🤮
That price is f'ing ridiculous to play at a Minor League. I remember how the attendance was meager at the Coliseum, but I expect it'll be worse in Sacramento, at THAT price
Could see a repeat of this situation in Utah given how much money they are willing to spend on luring an MLB team.
Maybe.
What exactly is the TV deal the A's have with NBC in Sacramento?
Stubhub ticket prices are always going to be more expensive buying them through a 3rd party then buying them directly from the team. But the real question is how is so many of the tickets available on stubhub before they're available to purchase directly from the team itself?
I live in Elk Grove and was planning to see them but not at the price - hell no!!
You think this is bad? Wait until vegas prices kick in 😅

@@brodiebrazilI'm a big fan. I love you. Amen 🙏
We all knew this would happen
It would be interesting to know what prices the A's actually charged for the tickets. What were the face value of the tickets. The secondary market is usually highter. Is there a way for you to report the amount the A's actually charged for the tickers.
Seems eerily similar to the Arizona Coyotes charging more to play in a minor league arena.
StAy 💛 in 💚 OAKLAND!!!
This "transition" to Vegas has become more of a shitshow with each passing day. The A's will remain a joke of a franchise until John Fisher sells it.
Also apparently the River Cats have scheduling priority over the A’s, so the MLB club will be getting the day games mostly.
This is outrageous. I paid $204 for the final home game at the coliseum. for 4 seats in section 110. Aint no way travelling to Sacramento in the hottest time of the year to watch baseball. Yet another place John Fisher will never show up to.
I live in sac and have been showing folks the prices on gametime. 1600 bucks!
No, the A's won't get a cut.
9:04 They were overpriced at $35
You’re missing one very important point.
Let’s view it from the most important angle. It will be a huge disappointment if any single game there does NOT sell out.
Would like to finally see the River Cats… Thx for showing us the shady side :)
I seen Ohtani hit his first career grand slam at angel stadium for $2 usd 😂😂😂
I got that season pass from Oakland for $109. 45 games last season.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the River Cats will have more sell outs in 2025 than the A’s will.
