Because you are statistically more likely to die from severe weather, food poisoning, a falling coconut or icicle, malaria, car accident, falling out of your bed, undercooked meat, or being attacked by a dog. So by that logic never leave your house, hire someone to cook and taste all your food before you eat it, sleep on the floor, go vegetarian, avoid palm trees and cold climates, and don’t own a car or a dog.
My friend died of a shark attack in a very unexpected way. He wasn't even swimming in the water. He was standing on a pile of rocks right next to the ocean while washing his hands. There are shark nets like that. They aren’t just used for sharks, but to also keep other marine life out of swimming areas. The only things that get past them are small fish or dolphins that jump over them
If they can make those shark deterring sensor zapper thingies like what they used so that navid lady could swim from Florida or whatever then we do have the technology out there to surely make some sort of boi’s or some sort of floating barrier or something that could section of parts of beach for swimmers or something or if we can make fake waves for surfers then surely we can make an actual whole fake beach somewhere
@@tannerneedhan3703 the shark deterrents kind of work. I know cookie cutter sharks were not deterred by them, and they bit out circles in people’s legs. Yet again, they should not have been swimming at night because that’s when all the deep sea animals come up to shallow waters
That’s one of the thing’s that pisses me off! People should not be allowed to fish around people that are swimming. Have separate places for each and for God sakes do not swim near the piers people!!
I don't care what anyone says like all these people who study sharks and say they don't normally attack people unless they think you look like a seal or other animals! If you are in the ocean and there is a shark that saw you swimming, you can bet your sweet ass that you are going to be attacked. Sharks are very smart and they do know the difference between people and other animals but if you're in their territory, be prepared to fight for your life. I live in Florida so I see what's out there and I do not go into the water.
I vacation in Florida and have had encounters a few times in shallow waters and not been bitten ever and I promise you at least 2 times it was close enough to see me and a few others. 🤷 and how do you explain the viral videos where sharks swam directly under surfers/body boarders/swimmers and the footage was caught on drones/helicopter cameramen and no attacks occurred? More people have close encounters with sharks that don't end in an attack than you'd realize.
@@carriecagnon411 my brother goes surfing in Coco Beach and he has come very close to sharks as well. He hasn't gotten attacked yet, thank God, but in a split second they can and will. You have been lucky and so have hundreds of other people and thank God for that, but remember that they are extremely unpredictable.
Considering the fact that very nearly EVERY SINGLE ocean swimmer is spotted by aquatic wildlife, every time they enter the water, I would say NO, just bc sharks see us does not mean they WILL definitely attack. In fact, I would say that the odds are pretty LOW in favor of NOT getting attacked. When you consider how many people enter the ocean each summer each DAY, we would see a TON more attacks, I promise you. I mean, in SoCal alone, we have thousands in the water ea. day... IF your theory is even nearly correct, there should be multiple attacks every day for every beach. Even if the beach closes after attacks, there are a lot of sharks in that water, where the continental shelf drops off into the Pacific deep... a NICE spot for sharks to hunt the crossover of deep water & shallow water prey. Tons of sharks plus lots of people SHOULD equal tons of attacks, and yet this does not happen. Not in the numbers that your hypothesis would suggest.

People’s minds do not want to go there immediately when it is someone that you love. That is not abnormal behavior. It is called denial and is literally the first stage of grief. Of course the thought crossed his mind that she was gone, but he is going to check everywhere else first and hope to God that he finds her alive even against all odds. That’s what makes humans separate from animals and sharks. Hope. Stop shaming people for having completely normal reactions to extraordinarily rare and difficult events.
I think we, as humans; don’t know what to do when we see something like that. We want to help in any way we can, even if it doesn’t make a difference. I know when my dad had a kidney stone and was in so much pain and I literally was just running around looking for ANYTHING that could help while waiting for an ambulance. He almost passed out and I grabbed an ice pack and told him to hold it on his forehead. Why? Idk. He was in so much pain that he was sweating and pale. He acted like the ice pack helped somewhat though lol. I can’t stand to see someone I love in pain(as most of us do). Adrenaline kicks in and you’ll do anything to help. Even if it’s just a beer can 😂
The poor 10yo Stephen. Im glad he survived, and I am glad those utterly stupid morons were investigated, and I honestly hope that they served time. The truth of the matter is, that stupidity in itself is not illegal, but they MUST PAY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. The thing that I am seriously concerned at, is that what they did... As stupid as it was, did they break any laws? If not, then the law needs to be amended... There must NEVER be any reason to encourage sharks, in anywhere there are swimmers. Thats just dumb.
Only the sharks are very very hungry, no choice to grab human to eat! Scary.. I will NEVER NEVER go in any ocean, sea, pacific and delta. Im very very fear of sharks 100%.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 that’s silly and bad advice! It honestly doesn’t matter what kind of water you’re using. If it’s not apex predators it’s water pressure or tidal waves rouge waves rip currents. Even Lakes have apex predators that your not even thinking about them.
You also have huge octopi squids and enormous catfish that can hit you and kill you. When commenting about people’s love of the oceans seas rivers lakes all oceanographic and marine life. Make sure you are spreading awareness instead of abstinence from our earth and what god provides. I’m ranting because it’s not possible for us humans to avoid such a wonder of the world we live in!
Several sharks you mean like 10 and he is alive! I feel so lucky because I have been chased by sharks before it is the worst feeling ever they were around 5ft - 6ft it was 2 sharks it was mortifying I have not been that far in the water since btw me and my friends were around 40ft from shore it was the fastest I have ever swam in my life stay safe out there everyone!
I agree100%! Sharks eat humans regularly. When will that truth be realized? The respective "Professionals" know but with hold certain information. Attacks happen daily all over the world. Common Sense concept here. God Bless the unlucky and the very lucky, Ocean Swimmers.
People advocate for sharks and say they are such beautiful creatures. I understand... but also understand the hatred felt by those who have crossed their paths. I once saw a bunch of legless people rescued by the coast guard off the coast of Newport News. All those sailors wanted to get back out and kill for revenge alone.
Nostradamus predicted we should stay out of the waters in 2023. Also some sear as well that’s still alive. She said it years ago. Is it ironic that what we have witnessed thus far these predictions becoming 💯 valid. It’s sad something is wrong this year. As a diver and marine conservation specialist myself; I had decided to not take a chance this year. Glad I did there is always next year
I watch this videos constantly, as well as countless other shows, videos, podcasts, etc., and there’s definitely a connection between where the attack occurs on the globe and whether or not other beach goers/ witnesses are going to help. Americas seem to help eachother much more than other nationalities. From what I’ve seen, Egypt is the absolute worst. They’ll watch & record someone being ravaged to death feet in front of them and won’t even attempt to help. I’ve seen it happen in multiple instances. In the U.S. it’s almost guaranteed that someone will atleast try to help if they can.
Thank you for that compliment. I was born an raised here thank God. Even though we are not perfect, I believe that is why God has blessed this country for so long is because we help other counties on the world. As soon as there is a problem somewhere in the world, the first country everybody call on is... THE UNITED STATES of America. God help us all.

If I can’t see under the water I’m not going in the water ever
Even if you can see underwater, sharks will stay at a distance that they would just blend in with the water and attacks you from behind

A 7 meter Shark?!
That's Freaking Huge
22.9 feet of muscle and teeth. And appetite, can't 4get appetite.
Rather stupid to pour blood in the water when swimmers are around on the beach.
How stupid can one be for the rest to pay for it 😢
That’s one of the thing’s that pisses me off!
I love this comment lol, it cracks me up!! I don’t believe the they think you are a seal crap either!
@@carriecagnon411go dance with a shark and bet your life on it

Yes the shark knew damn well it was attacking a human being.no if ands or buts. Zero question it knew it all to well.
So Shannon decided that he didn’t want to go surfing anymore but he decided to to Norway to teach people to surf wtf
The sea is the shark's domain. Enter it and you risk your lives.
Just curious what the can of ice cold beer applied to Steven's forehead do?
My guess is to cool him off and help prevent shock?

I wish you’d chill on the adjectives
Yep! Agree 200%
I watch this show just so i can hear the descriptive words like" the shark was reluctant " etc...
A reluctant shark is an oxymoron. Sharks react on millions of years of evolution and instinct.
This why i rather swim the pools in the summer i remember i was 17 went swimming at the beach in Australia the gold coast i had shark just go past me i was so scared fought my life was over i waited for like 30 mins i swim back to the beach never again went to the beach
The shark attacking Jose was definitely territorial. If it liked eating humans, it would’ve eaten the whole body pretty quickly. The fact it was circling his body shows it was a territorial attack
Who cares why!! It attacked! It only takes one bite. Y’all thinking on behalf of these animals and speaking for them is crazy
@@loveloveloveme3667 it attacked for a reason. People like you think they are out to kill humans all the time which is not true. It was territorial. That information could prevent future attacks. Stay out of the area where sharks are prevalent.

I believe our bodies won't feel that much pain in shock. My sister had a car accident and when she woke up in hospital she only remembered hitting bunch of goats and can't remember the rest, no pain. But she was severely injured. So I do believe our body has a mechanism to shut out the pain at some point.

He probably took her out to sea hoping a shark would get her.
They applied a cold beer to his forehead? Thats unusual.
at least it's cold :/
not reallly,, my buds would a done it too me
It was the sixties.
@lisashrestha5023 true I was born 1960 beer cured everything in the 70s anyway
Actually, stupidity can be a crime…it’s called negligence.
And silky sharks have one of the most dangerous bites, they can easily slice through flesh and nerve tissue with a soft bite
People it's their domain
Only the sharks are very very hungry, no choice to grab human to eat! Scary.. I will NEVER NEVER go in any ocean, sea, pacific and delta. Im very very fear of sharks 100%.
I go in the Atlantic Ocean. They aren’t dying of starvation there so the attack rates are very low
People put themselves in these situations. Just stay out of water's with apex predators

Glad you're okay!. But many shark attacks are happening in very low water. Like 3'-6' which seems crazy but it's true!
They were probably trying to get you out of the water. If they wanted to attack you, they would’ve got you bruh😂
The clip from bondi is crazy
That shark knew damn well it was attacking a human. It was no mistake and the murky waters had nothing to do with it. Humans are on the shark's menu!
Exactly that's why I'm scared of sharks
I agree100%! Sharks eat humans regularly. When will that truth be realized?
The respective "Professionals" know but with hold certain information. Attacks happen daily all over the world. Common Sense concept here. God Bless the unlucky and the very lucky, Ocean Swimmers.
They never eat them. They regurgitate the parts later...never chewing the meat....its almost territorial kill.
Conspiracy theorists.
Well I mean your in their territory
Glad I did there is always next year
Stay out of the sharks homes!!!
You go in the water YOU accept the risks.
No dear the earth is OUR home. We allow others to trespass at our pleasure.

Sharks is just like land animals they know that we are different smell and look so when someone say mistaken identity is a lie
Savage video 😂❤
Sharks are actually attracted to certain colors.
I would think that you are more likely to be attacked on the surface of the water
sharks are color blind its not the color its the contrast that they see
So kind of you
We see the same shark footage over and over again...not only on your vids but most!
People are stupid, you can’t run from a 50mph shark in the water. What you do is stand your ground and turn them off course so they turn around

I don't understand how her goggles and swim cap were found if it swallowed her whole? I'm picturing it cartoonishly belching them back out
The force of the impact probably knocked her cap and goggles off her head. They attack at very high speeds.
All wild animals see humans as good, because that's what they do to survive kill, and eat whatever is in their sight. These animals don't mistake humans are not good, everything is good in their mine. The same way we have to eat,so does wild animals. Scientists need to stop touting their old claims of "The shark is just testing. Once it realizes it's a human it moves on".
NOT ANY MORE!
Almost every time I hear of another shark attack the shark comes back and eats more of the human! Things have changed; their food supply must be getting fished out so they're eating just about everything the see
