A shark is a predator and opportunistic just like any other large predator on the planet. To be eaten by an animal has got to be one of the worst ways to die. How could it be so important to a human to swim in the ocean that they are willing to risk life and limb? Could a dip in the ocean truly be that special? There are some places where humans just don't need to go for fun. You can have just as much fun in a pool and get to keep your body parts. When will humans ever learn? Want to protect yourself from shark attacks? Stay out of their habitat. Stop trespassing in their environment.
Well said hun 👏 xx I get so annoyed when these amazing beautiful and yes ruthless creatures get killed due to the stupidity of other peoples decisions. The ocean is the sharks 🦈 home and we didn't get an invite... so if you decide to take a dip or swim in the sea 🌊 (especially where there is signs warning ⚠️ you of sharks)!! Don't be too surprised if one comes up sneakily and suddenly from the dark depths of the sea and has you for a snack! If you really want to swim in the sea then go swim somewhere where there isn't sharks and you can have fun in safety I really do think sharks are fascinating and beautiful creatures ( I know some of you will disagree with me) when I was young kid I watched the JAWS film and I was absolutely scared to death of sharks but has I grew up and i watched documentaries about them and read books etc I realised they were intelligent, interesting amazing creatures and I became to understand them. *Also Something I learnt* Sharks don't set out to purposely eat humans, because their eyesight isn't very good, the sharks mistake us for seals 🦭.... I'd say swimming in the pool is a much safer option but people will do what they want to do BUT do so at your own risk... don't be blaming the shark

@@loak.enthusiastor most sharks don’t give a crap how we taste when they are hungry. Well if the shark has already exerted so much energy (like the first one did, jumping out of the water) why not finish your food even though it’s not the tasty seal you were hoping for. The second one left the kid alone after biting of the leg even though he could’ve easily devoured them both 🤷🏼♀️

Not to be mean, but the woman narrator speaks with a really strange, unnatural cadence. It's pretty distracting. Her voice itself is great. It's just her manner of narration that could use some work. (Hope this comment is seen as helpful and not simply rude.)
I absolutely hate that this happened to him. No way in hell would I be in those waters even if the chance of attack is low..... I feel awful for his family and partner... They are the true victims here..... He chose to be there and they will carry this with them from now on...which attack was misidentification? The first or when it came back to get the second half? Come on people.... They are apex predators, we are meat in the water when there hungry.
I don't know about other nations, but I think a big reason we are seeing a rise in attacks in Australia is because of shark hunters and documentary crews chumming the water. Back in 2017 there was a young girl in Western Australia that was attacked by a white shark. In the aftermath it was uncovered that shark trophy hunters had been chumming the water in the days prior and when the backlash started, they showed absolutely zero remorse for the fact that THEY were responsible for the death of a kid. I am firmly of the belief that those who chum close to beaches should be charged with manslaughter should someone die or grievous bodily harm if someone is hurt. There is too much blaming of sharks and not enough of the holding the humans who created the problem accountable. The victim in that case was one year younger than me. The fear of being attacked would have been unfathomable. Robbed of her life because of some selfish scumbags who want a shark head on their wall.
Or you can swim somewhere where the threat doesn't exist. It's not like most of these people don't have the option. They aren't living in central Africa where they are forced to come into contact with hippos and crocodiles to get drinking water. They come from all over the world to surf or do some spear fishing and when they get attacked everyone acts surprised and wants the shark hunted down and killed. It's sickening. If someone walked through bear country with bait hanging off their belt or leaving food open all around a campsite would you blame the bear?
There are perfectly good swimming pools for us....the ocean is the sharks home so we should understand that going into that ocean could be perilous to us.
Damn Shirley’s attack was friggin insane I know some of you all are gonna think I’m really messed for saying this but I wish her attack could of been caught on video yes I know that is kinda effed up but I’m just being honest
I’m sorry to be a Debbie Downer but why the change in narrators? The guy was doing brilliantly, evenly toned pitch unlike the female narrator with her drawl. It was very annoying, it made it hard to concentrate.
One of the saddest attacks imo is the toddler who got attacked and in the jaws as it swam away from shore while the parents were right there and watched everything.
I remember "the summer of the shark" in 2001 because the day before 9/11, I remember seeing a tabloid sitting on the counter at 7-11 in Boston that Castro in Cuba had engineered killer sharks and released them to kill Americans. I remember thinking how ridiculous it was. I always relate the shark attacks with 9/11 and vice versa.
If a GW decides to go for you there's nothing you can do, that's the scary part, their so overpowering and in the ocean we are even more helpless than on land.
Hopefully people will start using drones to check the water for sharks while enjoying activity at these beaches, especially where they know that sharks frequently appear.
The Malibu Artist is doing great work along the West Coast of America. There's been many incidents of a shark swimming near to people and he's been able to alert them via the drone. We need that to be introduced at all the problem areas. All the countries that have known shark attack histories.

24:17 Jack Higgins wrote a book called Shark, about the Indianapolis nearly 40 years ago. I read it in the eighties and some of the details from the survivors are horrific. It's truly informative and the real reason I ever started having a fear of sharks and marine life. It would be hard to imagine how Richard would have felt knowing that he was the one responsible for taking his son surfing out in the ocean that day. Tragic.
I wouldn’t feel guilty for taking him out but I would if I was stupid enough not to tie off his leg above the wound. His life could have easily been saved.

Wow! Happy day; a marathon! Great job FA! You're a powerhouse!
Just like cats gonna cat. Sharks gonna shark. Respect the Apex predator and Our oceans. Every human knows the risks. Sharks rule!🦈💙
“Experts” lol. This shark knew Simon was a human. They’ve been hunting seal and seal like creatures for millions of years? If it smelled Simon, then it knew he wasn’t a seal. They contradict themselves constantly. “The shark thought he was a seal.” “The shark smelled Simon long before attacking him.”
U should look into the makeup and how a sharks brain works.... That should help make more sense.

Agree! But you can't fix Stupid.🙄🤷
Well said hun 👏 xx
I get so annoyed when these amazing beautiful and yes ruthless creatures get killed due to the stupidity of other peoples decisions. If you really want to swim in the sea then go swim somewhere where there isn't sharks and you can have fun in safety
I really do think sharks are fascinating and beautiful creatures ( I know some of you will disagree with me) when I was young kid I watched the JAWS film and I was absolutely scared to death of sharks but has I grew up and i watched documentaries about them and read books etc I realised they were intelligent, interesting amazing creatures and I became to understand them.

Damn the first one that happened in Feb was brutal I saw the video of it the real one and it was horrible but I still think using those drum line things is so wrong and it ends up killing dolphins and other marine animals if your going to go in the ocean you know that a shark could bite you it’s the chance you take and that is why I do NOT go in the ocean I’m a pool person
Yeah but you have to watch out for those Chochitos in the pool. 😮😅

The lake is quite big and long and the only thing of significance is the local lake monster legend of the stin'qua serpent the lurkes in the straights. Even if there was bull sharks I'll take my chances with them as there are a lot of things in the ocean that can sting, bite, poke, poison, electrocute and otherwise maime or kill you. Yes, it was simply mistaken identity. That's why it continued to come back and feed on him after biting him in half and eating his legs. 🙄
because some sharks can’t tell the difference between humans and seals, or let it bother them, for most sharks we taste disgusting, but for some of them we taste like seals
Hate to hear female commentary she sound like she's singing irritating 😢
@@loak.enthusiastor most sharks don’t give a crap how we taste when they are hungry. Sharks are meat-eating predators and i guess they don’t give a shit who is who. we fall into their food chain as soon as we step into the water. I can’t belive there is still people out there who belive in „mistaken identity“. don't forget that 20 years ago they convinced us that sharks are blind. So those scientists don’t know shit abt sharks
@@loak.enthusiast The shark knows exactly what it's doing. It knows that humans are an easy meal for it, there's no confusion.
Well if the shark has already exerted so much energy (like the first one did, jumping out of the water) why not finish your food even though it’s not the tasty seal you were hoping for. The second one left the kid alone after biting of the leg even though he could’ve easily devoured them both 🤷🏼♀️
Brilliant informative video...but the automated female voice almost made me give up as it was so off-putting?
Geez, I hope this narrator is not making a comeback.

These aren't shark attacks from 2022.
Nelis was 2022 not sure who else
The documentary is good , PLEASE GIT RID OF THE narrator
They just need to get a better narrator
Its so annoying how everyone just blames "mis-identification" for shark attacks. If a shark is hungry, they have no problem eating a person.
I LOVE hearing both their voices♥️♥️
R.i.p. to those poor victims, but I must say shark's are so beautiful and missunderstood. They must be respected at all times.
My thing is the protesters couldn't leave the beach alone for just one day. Out of respect for what happened to that kid. Some people should not be allowed to hold a sign bigger than their IQ
Great Job on the stories buddy love em all
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching :)
I remember the second story of the little boy, it's so sad. I don't personally go into the ocean just for this reason but I do go to that beach as often as I can seeing it's near where I live. I hope the families have found peace.

Not to be mean, but the woman narrator speaks with a really strange, unnatural cadence. It's pretty distracting.
Her voice itself is great. It's just her manner of narration that could use some work. (Hope this comment is seen as helpful and not simply rude.)
Really love your videos but...the woman's voice sounds like AI ITS VERY HARD TO LISTEN TO
I absolutely hate that this happened to him.
People makes excuses for the sharks "a predator" the water was mercy lmaoo shark is a shark. Lion I a lion. Tiger is a tiger. No mistakes 😮
Absolutely agree.
@@danielofinan5071 Exactly
They didn't force her to swim in the ocean so no, they are not responsible for her death. No disrespect.
There are perfectly good swimming pools for us....the ocean is the sharks home so we should understand that going into that ocean could be perilous to us.
This got worse to watch, especially when the commentary changed from a human to a a computer generated female voice. It was just too much to take
What’s with the girl’s voice and cadence when speaking? She emphasizes every last word 🤦🏻♂️

Love your videos! Keep them coming ☺️
Attack its eyes
Those bull sharks are no joke. RIP young man. My condolences to the family. Terrible
'complex behaviour', no mate they are predatory fish that eat whatever they run into, its not so complicated
@FinalAffliction - I really prefer your own voice covering the videos. It added more anxiety and fear into the stories. I'm sorry that you were made to feel you had to go with a generic voice - I personally mentioned it sounded like chills, and I apologise for that!!
