i really cannot stress enough that none of this is necessary... i have the saddest looking laundry hamper on the planet, a cheap green broom that i bought from target 6 years ago, and a dream. what's more important than the stuff you have is the weather that's outside. how's it lookin on your end? everything good? you experiencing the delights of fall? i remember caroline winkler saying something about how investing in a small piece improves the experience of using that item (e.g. buying a real marble tray vs a tray that has a faux marble wrapping). that being said, how dare that company sell $500 coasters that only have a burl wood VENEER LIKE HELLO???? they couldn’t even make those solid wood😭
that’s what i’m saying!! if the core was solid gold or something i’d understand a bit more, but $500 for 6 VENEER coasters is gonna make me sick to my stomach

but in seriousness, some of the prices make sense! the brands are putting effort into thoughtfully sourcing their materials and paying their workers.. and the rest of the brands don’t care about that stuff and are up-charging bc they know someone will buy it just because of the name attached to it! 😀
