my favorite interior things right now (2024 edition)

- another year, another list of things i'm casually hyper-fixating on! i could've added about 792 more points to this but i had to narrow it down for the sake of everyone ever. nothing proves my ability to yap more than pointing a camera at me--
it has been so long. i say that for every video (and i also say that for every video) but this was a halee-world-record-breaking amount of time. i chose not to explain myself in this round because i'm grown! and also because it feels a little ridiculous to do it every time it happens. but if you must know why i've been gone: i was living. that's it. i was living. just plainly though, nothing crazy besides deciding to enlist myself into the battle that is getting a college education... we'll talk more about that later, i imagine!
i've got a couple ideas lined up behind this video and a new life schedule roughly planned that will (hopefully) help me start uploading regularly again. missed this & u! thanks for being here ☻

“It’s not entirely timeless but neither is your lifetime” wait that was actually kinda deep
I am absolutely loving glass blocks right now too. Glass blocks, carpet, and door knobs lol
Finally someone who agrees that glass blocks are beautiful 😂
I was raised with a house with glass blocks and it was very nostalgic (in a good way)
I love glass blocks ❤
Do a pizza party and order the pizza. Set the table and have people pick their favorite seat. All with different thrifted plates. You have a great taste.
ooooh, a pizza party’s a good idea- i didn’t consider that! thank you :o)
interior design wise I'm also super into the wood + chrome combo, so good. also yes more lamps.. in every room. lamps in kitchens>>> also loving plaid and pinstripes. if you haven't already you NEED to watch Paige Wassel. her taste is unmatched
based off of this comment alone i just know you have great taste- i’m an avid parasocialite with paige wassel and really looking forward to her shower curtain collection that i probably won’t be able to afford :’)
I loved glass blocks when I was a teenager, and in my 20s, but then in my 30s I also loved glass blocks. In my 40s I still loved them. Now in my 50s (going to be 60 in a few years (I am old)) but really loving glass blocks. Relative to my lifespan so far, glass blocks are timeless.
the “but” in between the 20s and 30s really had me on the edge of my seat! at the very least they can be timeless to us :o)
I love a glass box wall especially in a bathroom 🤤
they do look particularly good in bathrooms!
She’s back!
and she missed it and she’s planning on doing it again!!
Yess another upload!! I was rewatching your videos last week funny enough
you’re a real one for that, truly 🫡💌
I was so happy to see you posted!! Also if your worried about drilling into an air vent possibly, you could always hang a picture with a command hook/ command strip!!
thanks for being here :') i actually ran out of command strips like ? eight months ago? and completely forgot they existed.... i'm about to have 17 pictures command stripped to that duct because of you 😌
I've honestly loved glass bricks since I was a kindergardener. When I remodel my bathroom in the coming years, you can bet on me creating the divider between the tub and the shower out of glass bricks. It's such a stylish, 80s-cool-look!
that’ll look great!! i’ll live vicariously through you until i’m one day able to do the same 😌💌
I liked everything you showed a lot...except the glass blocks because I am that older person who's lived through glass blocks being everywhere. I like them in floor windows, letting light through to a basement for example, but don't be glass bricking my home or office. Living with LK (the youtuber) put a lamp in her bathroom for the same reason. I'm going to do it when I find a good one for practically no money.
I just came across your channel, and…me like it!!😅♥️
100% bring back glass bricks!! I feel like carpet can look so good. Especially the ones with geometric patterns. There's something so elevated about it. When my parents redid their floors they did carpet upstairs and I very much pushed for what they chose haha
i’m most of the time not a carpet person in the slightest, but if it was more common for it be decorative and not *just* functional, i’d definitely take it back
i bet their carpet looks great 😌
@@haleeegreen I agree. Not huge on it either, but strategically it can be v cute :)
My grandma had a vintage turtle plug in lamp with a ceramic shell and a metal body. The shell on the turtle lights up. There is even a dimmer for the light. Since she passed, I have kept the light and have it in my house.
aw, how special!! what a great item to have passed down :’) 💌💌
I’m a proud blue carpet owner! (Well… renter…) When we first moved in, I hated it so much. It took over a year for me to accept it, but now, three years into living here it’s one of my favourite features of our house! Our lease is up in April and I’m already so sad that I’m going to have to say goodbye to it 😢
aw!!! that would be heartbreaking 😔 it's sweet that you grew to like it though. maybe just rip it up and take it with you when you move! i'm sure the owner wouldn't even notice
Soo happy you're back and i loved the video:) thinking about bathroom lamps now
happy to be back :o) 💌
I really enjoyed hanging out with you - Immediate subscribe and follow! P.s sorry if you mentioned it already I haven’t binged all your vids (yet) but I love your little throw pillow ❤ where is it from?
thank you the most! happy you're here :) 💌
i thrifted the pillow insert and fabric but sewed the pillowcase myself! i've been a beginner sewer for a loooong time- that pillowcase is my proudest creation to date so i appreciate your interest in it lol!
Love your art! I'd genuinely have that in my home
you’re too kind :’) thank you!!
Absolutely me, struggling with lighting in my bathroom right now - can’t find any inspiration pictures either
if you haven’t tried them already and are able to, some ideas to float are to change the bulbs out for a different temperature, swap the fixture, install dimmers, and paint. just one of those could make a big difference!
i wish i could see the room and what you’re going for so i could help find pictures and make more solid/ specific recommendations!
I’m really into fashion rn.. trying to find the perfect bayonetta frames, loafers, Mary Jane’s… I visited nyc and boy did I get some inspiration from there! No one in the suburbs I live in cares about fashion but I don’t rly care cause I do it for myself😎 also you put me onto chrome and wood combo cause WOW.. and I think mismatched cups and plates is so good… I went to this lady’s house that had a plate from every museum she had been to and it was so fun
aw, that’s such a unique souvenir to collect :’)
& ny is such a great place for inspiration overall! idk if you’re already aware of her, but Maiazine has a good collection of vids giving street interviews of FIT students :o)
1. I really love planning and cooking for dinner parties, but am a deeply anxious introvert, so the parties themselves are torture. Yay!
2. I love glass blocks. They remind me of swimming pools, and most of my happiest memories from childhood include swimming pools. I don’t even care that I’m old enough to find them cheesy and dated. 😂
I love home made art too! Or details with curves in them. Like an interestingly curved mirror or an oblong shape
Im 49 and i love glass blocks!
Not us having all the same color drenched rooms pinned on Pinterest 🤝💪😭
just found your channel and i looove your vibe & style, can’t wait for more ❤
aw, thank you!! happy to have you here 💌
I think I already left a comment, it might have disappeared, I should've waited until the video ended...it's fine. glass blocks--lizzy hayfield used them in her renovated bathroom, they're great. colorful carpet--I have green carpet, it's okay. green feels like a neutral to me now, which is mostly fun. bathroom lamps--Paige wassel just used tiny battery operated lamps in her latest video. very similar to your inso picture, they're adorable and they're over $400... right now I'm in the tedious phase of making a quilt that will become a jacket, which is very exciting.
this is the first time i’m hearing of lizzy hayfield but i’m unreasonably excited to watch her videos later, so thank you for mentioning that 😌 also tell your green carpet that i love it-
also also, those lamps being $400……. i wonder if the designer would take a kidney in exchange
wait im so glad ur video was suggested to me….most of these are on my list as well ! also you seem really cool and fun and creative and yea
you’re the sweetest!!! thank you :’) glad you’re here 💌
I FOUND A NEW INTERIOR PERSON 😝
1st tile image is a restaurant, Le Supreme in downtown Detroit ❤
i just googled it and i have so many pictures of that place saved on pinterest! they did an amazing job, it’s stunning
I love your taste in decor also your art is soooo cute
thank you sm :’) 💌
"It's not entirely timeless, but neither is your lifetime" bye-🤣
This video was recommended to me, and I've never seen your content before, but UA-cam clearly knows my taste! Your style is exactly what I've been looking for. I followed your Pinterest board immediately!
ah, that’s exciting!! thanks for being here, glad to have ya 😌
I love your art sm!! I made a dog tea party painting for my room (inspired by an artist named Natalie Andrewson!) and it's the perfect way to get exactly the color scheme you want. Loved the video :-)
ah, thank you! i hadn't heard of natalie before but her art is so cute and whimsical- i love that there's endless sources for inspiration out there :')
Cool vid. Nice to find you! X
nice to have you here! 😌
HEEYYYY, HALEE U'RE BACK! MISSED U DUDE 😁I KNOW THE VID WASN'T ABOUT UR HAIR... BUT I LOVE THE HAIR VERY CUTE. I LIKED THE STUFF U WERE SHOWING, ESPECIALLY THE ONES IN BATHROOMS, I DID HAVE
A GOOD TIME, LOVE HEARING U TALK ABOUT THINGS.👍SEE YA, HOPEFULLY SOON✌💗
HEY DUDE, IT'S BEEN SO LONG!! i'm glad you liked it & i'm glad you've stuck around! see ya again soon 💌🤠
Great video!!! Where is your table lamp from? :)
thank you :’)
i thrifted it! it’s the intertek swivel desk lamp, but it doesn’t look like it’s being manufactured anymore. there’s a few different websites selling it secondhand for about $50 not including shipping, but if you do a google image search of it you can find some similar (and actually some cooler) lamps in the same swivel style!
Wood + Chrome = 😮💨🤌🏼
Great video! That cute sconce at 9:45 btw is H&M home, so pretty affordable
get out!! thank you, i probably wouldn’t have found it on my own!
Haleeeeee! So happy to see you and your lil' brain musings!
I wonder if battery operated lamps could be a thing? In the UK we don't have sockets in our bathrooms. No electrocution allowed! 🙅♀️🤯
happy to see you too!! :’)
we actually do have battery operated waterproof lamps, in the US at least! but smart on the UK to omit the outlets- they thought ahead with that one 😎
also felt that about the nightstands….ive been searching for the perfect desk for months and it seems that’s not in the cards for me either :(
there’s a shortage of surfaces i fear
Me watching this hoping you live in Portland so you can be my friend
i love your videos💖 such an inspiration, now i feel obligated to hang my own art on the walls of my house 🙂↕️✨
i'm so glad 💌 & you definitely should! i feel like once you start doing it it's an endless loop of being inspired to make more and more 😄
Yay! You're back! 😊
I was kinda expecting you to have longer hair after all this time so we could bug you abould making another haircut video 😜
lol!! i'm actually letting it grow right now (i say, like i didn't cut it a month ago) because i'm planning to go to a professional later in the year 😳... i definitely don't plan on that being the usual though, i just want someone to give me a "correct" haircut that i can trim myself :o)
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Yayyyyyyyyy jazz hands halee's back!! Good to see you!
ahhh, good to see you too!! thanks for being here :') 💌
Those silver plates are dog bowls
even better
