I was there! I laughed at her first "I think it's to come" and then my friend asked me "why are you laughing?" and then before I could explain Joshua Jackson started to laugh and then she figured it out. Damn such a good memory :)

By then, she understood why everyone was laughing. Personally, I thought it was very cool of her to be such a good sport about it. But yeah, she didn't mean it like that at first; she had meant "the lesson is [yet] to come." Adding that one word would've clarified it for everyone... but then we would've lost out on the good laugh.
I know this is a very old comment, but hey this is Fringe, we're used to people messing with past timelines, right? :)
