After discovering the Show recently, I just finished it, and I kind of wish I hadn't because it was such a good show. I wish there was more of this show. I'm going to miss it so much
Just wait a few years a rewatch it. I did that, and it was ALMOST as good as the first watch because I had intentionally forgot so much of the story, and twists
I am re-watching this show for the 4th time. Such a great show. I just wished that the last season could be a full season instead of just 12 episodes. But never the less...it was a great show.
Watched the final episode last night (April 2020 and Corona is still doing its worst in the UK). Fabulous series, amazed at how Anna Torv could carry off the same (but not the same) character with such subtlety. Took me a while to get around to this show but, now I've watched it all, I don't know how I'll fill the gap.
This was and still is my all time favorite movie, series, show, whatever. The story is a love story between father and son, lovers, the members of the Fringe family. If JJ had not done this I know someone would have had to. Despite the years it was on and the dates it is timeless. This series could be renewed in Walter's future home, or as he returns to be with his family. However, without Anna Torv, Josh Jackson, Jasika Cole and John Noble it would never be the same. I have come to love these characters like another family. As long as this exists on streaming or discs, it can be watched by my great grandchildren and even though tech then would be so much different than what is now "state of the Art" they would still see the love story. Megalomaniacs come and go but a good love story is forever. Thank you JJ Abrahms for having the courage to go out on a limb and listen to your fans.That 5th season put the bow on an already perfect package.
Tell me how Anna Torv didn't become a star from this show. Amazing cast, and it was the one show where the much-maligned "Mystery Box" actually worked. I agree with Rowan J. Campbell. This was better than X-Files in every way.
Seriously?!!!.... not fair to compare the two(Fringe,X-Files),saying one is better than the other is just silly.They are very different from one another and both are awesome shows in their own way.Many would probably disagree with Rowan J Campbell and Shawn gillogly’s silly comparison just for the simple fact Fringe went 5 seasons while X-Files went 10 seasons with 2 movies.I personally enjoyed both of them equally and watched both of the at least twice.
@@smurfninja9649 Whatever your preference, the one thing I will say that Fringe indisputably does better is answering questions that it raises. The mystery doesn't remain a mystery forever. X-Files has a lot of merits as a show, but as sci-fi or as a mystery, you kind of felt strung along by a black box that you never quite see inside.
@@richardnguyen1520 The main problem with the X-files compared to Fringe is the qualities of the episodes, from excellent to terrible, S1 to S3 are great but from S3 it started to decay and the S10-11-12 are just unwatchable, a mirror universe version of the "Love boat". Fringe is constant in terms of story and even there are a few less good episodes, the average quality is good to excellent. And I want to say I was a big fan of X-files in the early nineties and I still watch the 3 first seasons at least once a year.
I'd like to thank all the great actors & creators of this show for providing an entertaining 5 years. Awesome job. Bit rushed in the final episode but fitting ending. Cheers
They should make 1 final episode where Peter discovers the tapes created by Walter just before the invasion and he watches them and realises why Walter has disappeared.
Actually, his expression at the end already seems to indicate to me that he remembers. Just like how Olivia watching Etta and Peter at the end seems to wear the weight of their loss and tragedy before the timeline fix. Olivia and Peter don't obey common sense when it comes to remembering destroyed timelines. I'd like to think that somewhere in the future we don't get to see, they both find a way to reunite the whole family.
I like John Nobles point, based on past Fringe logic Walter could probably find a way to travel back in time to explain what happened but he could only be back for a short time or things would go back again somehow

Walter can come back from the future... That's jump off point for the reboot they've been talking about. idc just get going already. Honestly I think Fringe could be reboot with a Sliders twist for a while! Reboot both shows into one!
One of the rare TV show good from the first to the last episode, especially for SF. Compared to the X-files, probably the best SF show from the 90s in its excellent S1 to S3 and then decayed to became nearly unwatchable.

Apart from all the quirks and flaws Walter had, nothing was as honest and strong as the love to his son.
