yup. this and Wayne are two fantastic shows that didn't get renewed for unknown reasons.

It wasn't Netflix apparently, Fincher himself called off the third season.
@@patrickbateman5501 false. Fincher confirmed that Netflix didn't green light #3 because they didn't feel like enough people were watching for how expensive the show was. Fincher probably would've kept going if he could

I think I could honestly listen to Holt talk or laugh all day long, there's just something about his voice.....
Both Jonathan and Holt have incredibly unique voices, both easy to the ears.

Loved these series. Have watched, well more like binged watched, season 1& 2 twice & will most likely watch again. And Holt omg yes he is really hot

Holt is a smart dude, comes through in his acting.

I saw Holt McCallany for first time in Fight Club and instantly liked him , then saw him doing small parts in minor roles in other movies . But his acting in Mind hunter is on a very good level and feels appropriate and according to the role given to him.
Hopper is incorrect,no actor or character here by that name. Also...Holt is the name of the actor portraying Bill Stench,the grizzled veteran who has an adopted son. Soooo....if you like the show,you failed on several levels here,bud. Right? No offense though,i agree,best actor n character,the show would have so much less without him....
Anna Torv is so underated actress. I mean she is sooo good.

Mindhunter is the best of the best season on criminal psychology. Well scripted and caracter building, plots everything is just so real.

Holt looks about 15 years younger than his character. 🤨And he’s so damn hot omg!!!🤗
Funny thing is, he is in his 50s, plays a guy in his 40s and he in real life looks younger than his character.

Ikr, she's such a powerful actor. She is a great addition to the show. Hope we see more of her in season 2.
I was super glad to see her since I have been a big fan of hers since Fringe.....though, I will admit, hearing her talk with her American accent I kept on hearing Olivia at first, lol. That waned, but I thought that was funny initially.

I really like Wendy Carr's voice. So calm, firm and soothing, almost stoic. Even when she's angry her voice didn't turn high pitch but she sounded more vicious and the eyes did the acting.
Anna Torv is smoking hot.

I love Anna Torv. I wish Fringe never ended, she was phenomenal in it. Sad this interview basically ignored her, as did this show in the second half. They greatly under utilised her character, she should be way more featured.
I just binge watched Mindhunter...Great show.....Great cast and great acting. The best show this year.

Danielle Menezes I think she is a great actress, but her part just got so minimized. Maybe there are a lot of scenes cut but if not that's just sad. Hopefully they develop her character more in season 2, which I expect there will be.
Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. I love Anna Torv. She has a lot to offer and I was very excited to see her in the series. Actually, she was the one that caught my attention to the series in the first place, since I'm not a Glee fan, I had no clue about Jonathan Groff.
Danielle Menezes Me too. I loved her in Fringe and was hoping to see her in a leading role again. 😞 I don't know the other actors really at all. They did well in the show but I would definitely like to see more from Wendy and less Debbie bs. They also need to stop throwing out stuff and not addressing it further. Like Wendy is a lesbian one episode then they never address it again. Or Debbie is caught in a compromising situation but they never talk about it. 🤦
I wish Holt would be in more things because I love how he portrais the persons.

I don't know why this guy is ignoring Anna Torv, I don't get it. I wish I was there and asking many questions about the show. She is an amazing actor.
I love this interviewer. Every time I see him interview someone he's very knowledgeable with his questions and technical references...but how did he not know the music wasn't playing during the concert scene? That's insane.

There must be a season three of this show. Not since Hannibal a few years ago and Millennium in the late nineties have I seen such a riveting and visually brilliant show. David Fincher is one of my filmmaking inspirations. Season three please!!!!

The questions are aimed to provide insights for the audience, I guess.

first there was glee, then there was fringe, then there was the normal heart...I just love how it all culminates in mindhunter for me, a remarkable project that brings together exceptional actors--something I could've never conceived of. I mean what are the odds of having actors from such different shows cast together and take this show to the whole new level of complexity and brilliance?

Criminal Minds is dark sure but Mindhunter completely blows Criminal Minds out of the water.
Criminal Minds is based on Mindhunter too FYI ;) Rossi and Gideon I believe are based on John E Douglas. The one Holden is based on. I had no idea how many shows/characters Douglas inspired. Fascinating!

love both shows - though I need to catch up on Criminal Minds (I got bored with all the political intrigue within the FBI...)
I see Mindhunter and Criminal Minds as complementary - with Criminal Minds you get to see what Holden is trying to do, IS doing along with way - applying the theory to real life - put into full effect
(and nice that the person Holden is based on - John E Douglas - is still alive to see the real impact he has had)
Julia Connell John E Douglas is also a consultant on Mindhunter. He said he prefers this version of adaptations as he felt Silence of the Lambs and Criminal Minds were inaccurate for him ha!

Holt is so fortunate to have met with John Douglas. I've been waiting to attend a lecture of his or hoping to get my books signed, but no luck still. Robert Resser passed away a few years ago and I didn't get to meet him. I don't understand why Holt wasn't cast as John Douglas' character. He seems to fit the part better.

Well he did direct most of his questions to all of them, but she probably hesitated too long. But it seems like this was just parts of a longer interview, so maybe they just picked the questions she didn't answer for some reason...

yeah exactly! in American snipper, just bit cameo role & there's a handful amount of film that he's been part too/ made appearances. I love that man! :)
