That's what make him strong not his brute strength, his magic hammer or the privilege of being god.
Well, yeah, but by that point he was pretty beaten down, emotionally. Here, he'd lost his mom, and it came at the end of a regular combat that they won. In IW, he'd lost his dad, his hammer, his freedom, his hair, his grasp of family history, his home, most of his people, *another* chunk of his people, his best friend, and his brother, all in the space of a few days. And it came at the end of a battle where they got their asses handed to them, and Thor was completely helpless, something he's rarely had to face, let alone when his people were counting on him and he failed to protect them. So yeah, the mourning's gonna be different.
I don't know if you noticed this, but each time Loki dies, Thor mourns Loki more. I think it's because each time he was closer with him, and Thor also matured more in the past movies. In Thor Ragnarok, Thor and Loki pretty much made up as they were going to fight side by side again, when Thor lost Loki just as they got close again, it obviously would affect him more than the other deaths.
@@Arkylie He was pissed at Loki for what he did in New York. He didn't see Loki as a brother anymore. That's why he said "Loki" and not "brother" when Thor came to Loki's cell. @@marcobrilli8669 Nah, he's merely transferred his resentment of Thor over to Odin here. He's still got a long way to go. Ragnarok is him realising he can't keep living on resentment and anger, no matter which family member it's directed at. Letting go of an unhealthy level of obsession with winning a parent's approval may be a part of growing up, but learning to accept your parents' shortcomings and forgive their mistakes is important too. He shows he's grown even more in Infinity War when he calls himself "Prince of Asgard, Odinson". It's no longer a desperate plea for approval, it's a solemn acknowledgement of the man who raised him.
"Listen, Sylvie, I betrayed everyone who ever loved me. I betrayed my father, my brother. My home. I know what I did. And I know why I did it. And that’s not who I am anymore."--Loki (2021)
Can we just take a moment and just acknowledge how much Thor and Loki really care for each other as brothers? When Thor screamed, you can see the true emotion of anger and sadness as he held his 'dead' brother in his arms. This comes to prove that Thor and Loki defiantly fight a lot and almost never agree, but when push comes to shove and they are on the same side, we see they will do anything for each other, even if it means they die for the other in the process.

Man I watch these for Thor and Loki, the rest of them matter little to me. You understand a little more why he does what he does, and even so why Thor will always help him. Every time he dies it is just amazing.
@@eliascotrim51 Maybe, at the end of the second season, he will have an opportunity to say a proper farewell to Frigga, just like Thor did in Endgame.
Concept: Loki _really thought_ he was dying. His last words and emotions were true. But he is a frost giant, and a god, and those two combined are not so easily killed. He woke up sometime after Thor had gone, a healed wound, realized, Hey! This is a great opportunity to take my life back! and proceeded to 'fake' his death.
In one of my fics, I hypothesize that Loki (having unexpectedly found himself alive) goes back to give the news to Odin that Loki is dead, figuring that this last evidence of Odin not caring for him will enable him to cut his emotional ties to Asgard and finally leave for good, making a home elsewhere. Then he finds that Odin is practically suicidal (over Frigga's death), and ready to take down Asgard with him, and oh *hell* no, you do not get to take that route old man! (Especially after sentencing Loki to an eternity with his pain.) So Loki's fury fuels his magic enough to overpower Odin, to bind his powers and his memories (in a way that Loki can't easily undo). And suddenly Loki is like "oh crap... with Odin down, Asgard's gonna be in trouble" and so he takes Odin's place (and sends Odin to Midgard), and waits for Thor to return, ready to hand the throne off to Thor. But Thor refuses it and leaves, and Loki's like "really? seriously? am I the only one around here who actually cares for the future of this kingdom?" Which isn't *quite* canon, because of Loki's gloating attitude in the final shot of TDW, but it's still not too far off from what could've happened. Especially since Loki is, almost without exception, loyal to Asgard, from the first film onwards -- he makes tons of questionable decisions, but his actions never deliberately endanger Asgard, and he's taken desperate action repeatedly to save her from perceived threats (trying to keep a warmonger from ascending to the throne, trying to stop a war, trying to stop a war a different way, going with Thor to defend the Nine Realms despite Thor threatening to kill him, eventually joining a battle that he took to be suicide in order to defend his people).
@@Jojojojo-md6ww Unforeseen Friendship -- it's set on the Statesman, after the encounter with Thanos except that Thanos left Loki alive but badly injured and disabled (neck injuries -- his voice, magic, and ability to move without hurting himself are all compromised). It explores the friendship between Loki & the Hulk (not Banner) during the time they're traveling to Earth. It's part of a trilogy, but I haven't yet published the first part, which is Loki & Valkyrie (with a bit of "friends with benefits" Loki/Valkyrie) back on Sakaar; the third part will be Loki & the Avengers, after the refugees have reached Earth and Thor has still fallen into depression. Each is a "Five Moments of (Nonsexual) Intimacy" (FMI or FMNI) fic, so five chapters, each dealing with a different form of intimacy: physical/sensual, emotional/comfort, experiential ("we've been through the same thing" or "letting down our hair together"), secret sharing, and vulnerability/acceptance. The part about Loki and Odin is a flashback, as Loki unburdens himself to the Hulk, going over various parts of his history, things he couldn't even share with Thor. archiveofourown.org/works/18847450
"See you in hell,, monster." "I know... I'm a fool... I'm a fool" "I'm sorry... I'm sorry. I'm sorry." "I didn't do it for him" ... THAT'S OKAY. I DIDN'T NEED MY HEART ANYWAYS.
Loki basically saving Jane ( Jade I don’t know lmao ) just proves he loves his brother . He knows Thor loves her and I know it’s just a simple shove but it proves so much to me
Arguably he could simply have realised Thor would have his head if he let her die, especially if Thor had instructed him to keep her safe while he dealt with Malekith, but then again, he could have just claimed he hadn't been able to get her out of the way in time, so I think at least part of it is him wanting to do the right thing for a change. I also wonder whether he's not partially protecting her for Frigga, because he knows Frigga would have wanted him to and possibly because Frigga sort of died protecting Jane herself and he doesn't want her to have died in vain. What irritates me is people who try to say he did it because he was in love with Jane, bleargh.
Is still really cool to me that Loki still attempted to “sacrifice” himself for Jane when she was about to get sucked in before Thor saved him. The old Loki wouldn’t have done that
Fun fact, he said "see you in Hel, monster." Hel is the realm where the evil goes when they die. Loki believes he is unworthy of Valhalla due to the pain and suffering he brought, so he is promising to see that elf there for killing his mother.
Ok but can we TALK about Loki's fighting skills? I mean,he took out four opponents at once! He might not be as strong as Thor but bloody hell, I wouldn't want to fight him either
Loki is very powerful. Not being strong as Thor isn’t saying too much lol Thor almost killed thanos with a axe and thanos had all stones!! Give Loki Thors power and he would be unmatched
Yeah but what was better about dark world was the fact that was it wasn't so lighthearted unlike Ragnarok where they cracked jokes like every two minutes. It's also laughable that they made Kurse stronger than Surtur who literally got decapitated by Thor like he was nothing.
I didn't think they made fun of it in a derogatory way. I liked this scene and the play in Ragnarok, it was totally in character for Loki to milk the shit out of it.
"And so Loki died with his wounds, Giving his life, for ours, he fought back those disgusting elves, he brought peace to the realm, loki, my boy, with many moons have gone, i've found you on that frostbitten battlefield, i did not see of you as asgard's savior no, you were merely a little blue, baby that melted this old fool's heart" -Fake Odin 2017
I feel like when loki said „i didn‘t do it for him“ he actually did it for 1. frigga to avenge her because he truely loved her 2. for himself because he faked it and went on to pretend being odin to sit on the throne 3. for thor, even if he doesn‘t know he still cares about him :)
Thor: loki you fool? You dying it's really "get help " Loki: a , okay I think you want pushing me away in somebody Sorry a mistake I Don't speak in English
They say spite keeps you going, Loki just had a moment of "wait, Thor cannot tell Odin I did anything for him, I feel better now that is out of the way, not dying anymore." 🤣

Two brothers, one the famous, strong, loving, with a bunch of good friends, people love him. The other one quiet, smart, witty, and while people see him as the bad guy, he's actually just a good guy who made some bad decisions. Oh god, they're Sirius and Regulus!
Fr like maybe not my brother you can do what you like with him but for example my friends: I can be so horrible to them but you even LOOK at them funny and we gon have a problem
Loki is my favorite character of Marvel. All he ever wants was to be equal. He loves Thor more than anyone else. I love him forever. --I still believe in heroes, but I prefer villains.
You realize that Loki's not a villain, right? He's a villain-coded character, sure, but he's a Trickster archetype (unpredictable, dances all over the line between good actions and evil actions, can't pin down his motivation 100%) and you can analyze his actions for almost the entire franchise as non-villainous, starting with letting the frost giants into the weapons vault (to save Asgard). His actions in The Avengers were never fully explained as to how much culpability he has, but some data points include: He spent 1-2 years in the Void, the realm of the Chitauri, under the care of Thanos (known to torture his servants until they are either terrified to disobey him or traumatized into being a True Believer) and The Other (mind-manipulator, also terrifies Loki, sees and hears through Loki's ears and eyes and can torture him from afar). Tom Hiddleston says it was like the seventh circle of Hell (a la Dante's Inferno), and Loki's first scene in The Avengers clearly shows him suffering from the aftereffects of some form of torture (there's no hint that the transfer alone causes that much pain) -- possibly heat exhaustion, a great way to torture a frost giant. Loki's memories are clearly suspect ("I remember you tossing me into an abyss" but also claiming to want to be king, the opposite of his claims at the end of Thor ("I never wanted the throne!")), which might be Thanos and/or The Other messing with his head, or he might be lying about the past while trying to clue Thor in. Plus, he just came off of a psychotic break (end of Thor), and the scepter, while not directly controlling him (like it does with Barton and Selvig), does affect him (Word of God on that one -- and look how much it affected the Avengers in that one argument, stripping them of objectivity and tact, ramping up their negative qualities). The Other repeatedly threatens him with dire consequences if he doesn't make good on his mission. So he's operating under duress, at minimum, and a level of mind-affecting magic, on top of torture and psychosis. A defense attorney would have a field day with this one. By the time we get to TDW, he feels like the only good character in the entire film. Out of all the named characters who interact with him, only *two* don't either threaten his life or outright assault him. Frigga dismisses his complaints about Odin and uses emotional manipulation on him. Fandral mocks him for not being graceful, after Loki just got unexpectedly shoved out of a moving vehicle, while shackled. Odin says he would've been executed, but for Frigga's intervention, and then sentences him to a lifetime (4000+ years) in solitary confinement, without any sort of trial; small wonder Loki doesn't bother playing nice. Jane slaps him; Sif and Volstagg threaten his life. Thor threatens his life, and sees nothing wrong with a lifetime in solitary; in fact, he seems to have discarded Loki entirely until it turns out that he needs him. A full year without a visit? What happened to all his talk about "come home" and "I mourned you" from the last film? And don't tell me it's Odin's rules, because Thor is constantly breaking Odin's rules, and surely could've broken them to see Loki now and again. But no, Thor bitches over Loki getting amenities (in a cut scene, he tells Frigga that she's pampering Loki by talking to him and arranging for a bed and some books), doesn't take any steps to allow Loki to attend their mom's funeral, dismisses his questions about how she died, blocks Loki's magic (despite the very clear advantages of using it to get out of the palace without a problem), shoves Loki out of a moving vehicle (remember, Loki likely has trauma over *falling through the Void* ), nearly beats him up while he's shackled, sullies Loki's memory of his connection to their mother ("you had her tricks, but I had her trust" -- what the fuck, Thor, you did not, and who was the one starting wars for fun again?), saves Loki's life and howls over his death but then abandons his body there on a dead world so Loki can never have a proper Asgardian funeral. It's astounding that Loki was able to take all that with good humor. You wanna know the one named character who interacted with Loki in a way that doesn't assault him, threaten him, mock him, or dismiss him? Kursed. The *bad guy* is the one guy who shows Loki a modicum of respect, and only attacks him once actual battle has been raised. I swear, TDW is like a hero/villain play turned inside out. And then Ragnarok turned Loki into a joke, but detailing that much would make this reply that much longer. I know what it's like to be enthralled with villains, but -- for all that the films try to make us think he is -- Loki isn't a villain.
@@asya3615 "Are you mad?" Do you mean, am I upset, or am I insane? I'm irritated that Marvel failed to make the best use of the character they had. I've got giant rants about that problem. But to look at Loki's run, and conclude that they *intended* him to be a villain and *coded* him to be a villain, but *failed* at actually portraying a villain? Doesn't take insanity to come to that conclusion. In fact, people have gone ahead and compared how Loki is treated compared to how the hero-coded characters are treated, and the hypocrisy is sickening. Other characters get lauded for the same acts that get Loki condemned. Characters like Thor, Odin, and Fury don't get called out for horrible behavior, while Loki gets blamed for things he didn't even do. And everybody seems to get a free pass to threaten his life, assault him, and even torture him, which is perfectly fine because "he's a bad guy"? There are fics where characters wonder why he didn't go off the deep end centuries ago. lucianalight.tumblr.com/post/183567152583/spot-the-hypocrisy-2
You should really tell people to stop touching your heart, it doesn't sound hygienic; i to think this scene was emotional especially thors cry, the lesson of thor seems to be you dont know what you've got till you've lost it and the people who are close to you are the most important thing even though they're not always good, the evil which lies outside, that doesn't define you.
IKRRR that’s what I been saying but people don’t believe it😭 I believe that scene is in secret wars because paradox said “that happens in the distant future”
Yes Hiddleston is godly in this scene, amazing performance. But I got to give Hemsworth praise for his performance here. The "Nooo!!!" at the end was so heart wrenching. Even knowing that Loki is faking on rewatched this scene still gives me chills and sometimes tears.
More like "I'm sorry for killing that guy in the suit you got so upset over even though throughout most of your initial interaction with him he was just the jerk who stole Jane's research, and then you had, what?, maybe one conversation with him on an airbase and all of a sudden you're best buddies? Remind me again ... why you got so upset when I skewered him?"
Me too but its time to let go I admire him but I can't spend my whole life hoping he will be back and marvel has lost my service if he doesn't show up as the alternate Timeline Loki if it is a stupid prequel I will scream

01:59, When Loki aboard a train and came to railroad switch... Track 1: Help your brother out... Track 2: Give you grandest trick to fool your brother... Loki: *MULTI-TRACK DRIFTING...!*
That moment when Loki die I was very sad if I came out that he was alive later and the other movie you should see it.... you know which one the 2017 movie or I think it's 2018
The interesting thing is that you might think why didn’t Loki move away once he stabbed him that’s what I thought for a long time then I realized if Loki had moved away he would realize that Loki activated the bomb Loki sacrificed himself to distract him
Um I haven't thought of that Loki should have said "if you kill me you take longer to achieve your goals and if you haven't figured out yet this is a distraction you should have just left right when you were like comen first thor now you when is it going to sink im smarter because this is what I want and you are giving it to me and in that case you are not as smart as I thought if you kill me you will prove that your intentions are not to save anyone and you only care about yourself and true hero doesn't kill to get what they want they achieve it by doing things properly if you want to save the world then prove you are a good guy not a bad one right now you are showing you are a bad one is this how you really want to be remembered?"
1:49 This as well as all of Loki's fights in his show, makes me more scared of him as a fighter than whenever he uses a staff like weapon like in Thor 1 and Avengers.
Even if Loki didn't die here, this scene was phenomenal. I feel like in this moment, you can see every part of Thor and Loki's relationship. Scott Dolan yeah,in my opinion, Loki should've remained dead after TDW,his development in this movie was enough to complete his story arc.

Loki's last words to Frigga were "You're not my mother"
Kurse killed frigga and loki killed kurse
@@eliascotrim51 Maybe, at the end of the second season, he will have an opportunity to say a proper farewell to Frigga, just like Thor did in Endgame.
And then in Ragnarok...
Thor: “Father.”
Loki disguised as father: “Oh shit!”
Probably one of the best lines in Marvel it’s so funny
I really love the recreation of that scene in Ragnarok, they even add the same musical theme!
Xavier Savage I NOTICED THAT TOO. The choir was singing the same song. 😂😂😂😂
Concept: Loki actually dies. Hela kicks him back because she wants him to get rid of Odin.
But Thor refuses it and leaves, and Loki's like "really? seriously? am I the only one around here who actually cares for the future of this kingdom?"
Which isn't *quite* canon, because of Loki's gloating attitude in the final shot of TDW, but it's still not too far off from what could've happened.
@@Arkylie what is your fic called?

Loki is my favorite character of Marvel.
All he ever wants was to be equal.
He loves Thor more than anyone else.
I love him forever.
--I still believe in heroes, but I prefer villains.
Hermione.H He loves Frigga the most.
@@Arkylie are you mad?
@@asya3615 "Are you mad?"
Do you mean, am I upset, or am I insane?

I will always love that Kurse was curb stomping Thor but Loki managed to beat him in a matter of seconds with nothing but his wits
This channel vids have a perfect guality
Mr. Troll.Jr good guality

Ur konnemd jod a joot gualidy as vell.
The interesting thing is that you might think why didn’t Loki move away once he stabbed him that’s what I thought for a long time then I realized if Loki had moved away he would realize that Loki activated the bomb
Loki sacrificed himself to distract him
Um I haven't thought of that Loki should have said "if you kill me you take longer to achieve your goals and if you haven't figured out yet this is a
distraction you should have just left right when you were like comen first thor now you when is it going to sink im smarter because this is what I want and you are giving it to me and in that case you are not as smart as I thought if you kill me you will prove that your intentions are not to save anyone and you only care about yourself and true hero doesn't kill to get what they want they achieve it by doing things properly if you want to save the world then prove you are a good guy not a bad one right now you are showing you are a bad one is this how you really want to be remembered?"
Actually that was literally Loki’s plan to banish his father and fuck over Thor...
He didn’t do it as a sacrifice he didn’t even get stabbed
LUKE HEMSWORTH N MATT DAMON BROUGHT ME HERE!!!
how come?
Thor Ragnarok
His name is Chris Hemsworth
Justin Fezatte They're talking about Chris's brother
1:49 This as well as all of Loki's fights in his show, makes me more scared of him as a fighter than whenever he uses a staff like weapon like in Thor 1 and Avengers.
