I grew up in Sarasota Florida Out near Myakka River State Park. . Went to a few party's off my street Fruitville RD. 1970 I have always loved the music and the fun the band has playing. Big fan here. Childhood memory's.
One of the last times they closed with this. T-shirts a tribute to Warren Haynes late guitar tech Brian Farmer. A camera shot or 2 of Bass player Otell Burbridge would have been nice!
Daniel Chavez It’s a shame you think that. I am a Trucks fan but Dickey has more licks to outplay Derek 7 ways to Sunday. Derek is a great finger style player. But with the slide he is too technically proficient and has no soul. Dereks slide gets very annoying after about a minute.
@@upstatenyconcerts8269 With all due respect, Dickey in his prime MAYBE could hang with Derek. I don’t know what Derek Trucks you’re talking about, but the Derek Trucks that i’ve spent hours upon hours studying has the most soulful slide playing since Duane. His use of vocal lines and indian influences bring a whole new life to the music.
2:44 It’s nice that Derek tries to throw in the John Coltrane “play the same lick but go higher” technique, but it never really goes well when he does it. It sounds like a mistake to most people’s ears. I think it’s because he only goes up one key instead of going up 4 or 5 keys like Coltrane.

Derek is on fire here, just wow
Just unlike any other band. God Bless you Gregg.
RIP Mr.Greg Allman.
Love the Brian Farmer "tribute" with them all (except Gregg) wearing the Farmer t-shirts.
He has it on at some point.
He does it's just a Long sleeve one.
Best whipping post that ever lived

Hey can a music expert please tab the repeated melody of Warren's solo, I really want to know how to play it
Learn your pentatonics, minor and major
I'll do it for $75
Derek broke his string in this,,,- Bob Tis will take care of it
Who in the blue hell is Bob Tiz?
correction---Bob Tis - Dereks longtime Guitar tech
Tom Libera
Thank you Tom.
His style of fingerpicking and slapping will do that. He's brutal on that steel.
Nice to hear Derek without that slide
Southern Brothers !!!! Missed Dicky Betts Though !!!! He was Untouchable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dickey Betts hasn't been Dickey Betts In 40 years. And to that even at his best he couldn't carry Derek Trucks guitar case.

@@jakemguitarist I agree. These idiots have deficient ears and terribly low music IQs.
Who's playing lead guitar
Does anybody know the story behind the shirts they all wore unison?
In remembrance of their crew member who died in August that year.
@@bumblebootwiddletoes5185 Thanks.

i think your right i noticed the other guitarist turns away at that point ....
Seems to me like he’s feeling it out more than anything, like “Can I do this here?”. He’s also done it in Desdemona, where it sounds completely fine.
