Generational street life curses that ended in the senseless deaths of way too many people. I salute her candor as well as not making excuses for her son’s actions, this woman is spiritually strong and seems to have come to terms with the way that she lived, and her role in the generational curse.

To have someone taken that's been and stand up guy with a heart of gold, just might hit different. My best friend lost her only son/only child and its been rough. Her heart is broken, and forgiving is not in the cards for her yet. Its hard. I always pray she finds peace, but at the same time i understand her feelings. Ill never tell her she needs to forgive. You said you felt like you was hugging your son. That's real real deep. Thank you for your strength, courage and speaking the real. My son was murdered in 2008. He was murdered four days after his 22nd birthday. Honestly I'm not there yet when it comes to those who murdered my son. I'm still numb and my mind is still all over the place. It's been 15yrs and it still hurts as if it just happened. As if my younger son just called me with the worst call ever and how my younger son looked me in my eyes and said his brother didn't make it. The worst feeling I ever felt. My son birthday is December 1. He was Murdered December 5. I laid him to rest December 19. I flipped out when I went to identify his body. It could be the most horrific stories that you are covering and I always find God’s Grace and presence in them. You have a story yourself Chris. You have a testimony. You should share it one day. God has his hands on you and this is just the beginning.
Also another quick lesson is never judge a book by the cover. I wasn’t expecting this woman to say she had just come from church. God is good.

She strong she knew her son was a menace. But she accepted who he was. He lived by the gun and died by it. Shot a mother in the head with her kids in the car. I’m sorry but he shouldn’t have been back on the streets after that. But every dog has his day 🤷🏾‍♀️

You have to be careful what energies you put out into the world because eventually it will come back. If you live by it then you eventually can die by it.

My brother was killed due to mistaken identity, and my mother and I forgave him when we met him at the prison. I didn’t expect to, but God is a healing God.
He actually didn’t serve any time for capital murder and was sentenced to 2 yrs for 14 counts, including committing crimes while serving as a cooberating informant.
He confessed to my brother's murder after 7 years and that was God because it was a cold case. When he found out that he killed the wrong person, after the police questioned him and said my brothers name, he said that his conscience was eating at him.
He apologized and cried, and we cried and received our closure.
It still hurts, but I pray that I see him again on judgment day.
He was my mother's first born son also. She struggles, but we pray through.

She's a menace who raised a menace ! She may be remorseful now. But when her son was alive i bet she was proud of the monster she raised. I wonder how they are raising the deceased children... i hope she stays far away from their upbringing... we have to do better and take accountability
