    I thought Thorin always expressed a decent amount of respect for fREAKAZOiD's willingness to play the point man. He'd always soldier up and dive through smokes and eat the bullets to enable his teammates to make trade kills and entry frags.

    I always liked Steel and DaZed as players because they got mad whenever they lost, they played with emotions and played to win, in a way many people see as toxic but it's clear losing wasn't good enough.

    • @joelike7787
      @joelike7787 7 років тому +23

      That's exactly what I mean. they're 2 of the most intelligent players in the NA scene with clear passion. such a shame they can't compete

    • @joelike7787
      @joelike7787 7 років тому

      ***** I mean swag is probably one of the most technically skilled players right, so NA scene really misses him. But those 3 players (don't know much about AZK) could just improve any top NA team or make their own (in theory)

    • @joelike7787
      @joelike7787 7 років тому +1

      Scott Like If it was only that, it would be a good thing. Problem is raging before you even lost and insulting your teammates. Both CAUSES you to lose the game. If you think you need to be overly emotional to win, look at Astralis: They're one of the most calm and collected teams I've ever seen.

    People hated freak because they were jumping on a bandwagon, I found that hilarious. The "bullying" wasn't even bullying, it's called typical internet trash talk that happens regardless if you're in NA or EU. The only reason it became a big deal was because of people needlessly blowing it out of proportion. Hell, even some of the pros jumped on the bandwagon to avoid backlash.
    A team needs to pick freak up fast. Sure he's gonna be out of shape in the pro scene, but he'd at least be a damn good influence or even a coach.

    • @alexroberts1836
      @alexroberts1836 7 років тому +41

      Well its the basic concept of Therapy. You need to be open about it. If you come in pretty sketipcal or if you dont really care the psychologist can do nothing about it.
      Which is exactly was this Video is about. NA doesnt seem to care that they have become the memeregion of the Esportsscene. Atleast they are getting paid right?
      Take someone like Shroud, he makes the big $$$ no matter what happens. If they go out in Groups he still gets mad money. If they win its a slight bump in Income. If he gets kicked from the Team he still makes more than enough Money. He has nothing to worry about, no matter what happens.
      The NA scene are like the guys in regular Sports that are 99% of the time on the Bench. They get paid for doing nothing but still have the bragging rights that they are "playing" for said Team (The Team here stands for CSGO). Sure once in awhile they come onto the field for their 5 minutes of fame but thats it. And very rarely you have someone on the Bench who is not happy and really wants to be in the starting lineup so he puts in the extra work thats needed.

    Great points being made about actual sports. All the athletes that have a strong background in competitive "real" sports bring a different understanding of what a team is, it's even noticable when pugging. The mid rounds dicussions about gone rounds I never understand because the normal mindset should be 'shit happened, we're gonna work twice as hard to get out of here', not blaming the goalkeeper for a mistake he might have made. Also loved freaks point about the quality of practice. It's strange that the best hockey players will still practice basic stick drills until their backs and wrists hurt every single day, but pro csgo players thinking playing pugs is enough to achieve the highest level. It's like ice training where the coach says "we're just gonna play games today"... it never happens.

  • @JoeMama-sd2kl

    this na team needs to happen :
    - sgares as igl
    -autimatic as star player
    -rush as support
    -elige as entry (second star)
    -stewie as support
    freakazoid as the fucking coach who gives motivation and shit

    • @toastytap

      having stewie as support is the worst idea ive ever heard, would never work

    • @JoeMama-sd2kl
      @JoeMama-sd2kl 7 років тому

      Greg Ladd why? Imagine him playing discipline with all the nades and supporting others while also having the ability to clutch with his good raw aim. I dont think the NA superteam needs another star like stewie

    • @toastytap
      @toastytap 7 років тому

      because a: autimatic isnt playing the star role in c9 yet its the best he's played in his career. stewie wants to be an entry fragger and a star player so him and elige would clash. the team would be better as: sgares (if he goes all in which i doubt he will), rush as the entry, eligeas the star and 2nd man in, autimatic as the 2nd star and 3rd man in then stan as support

    • @JoeMama-sd2kl
      @JoeMama-sd2kl 7 років тому

      Greg Ladd you know, stewie and elige could always be like double entries that pair with each other. Other cases like these are elige and nitro as well as apex and nbk. However, if we're really talking about the best, it would be stupid not to use rush, the best entry in NA. I disagree with stan being support however. He used to be a great support and now igl but i dont think he has the firepower needed. He could oftenly have off games that would really impact the match. Imo also stan should be the igl not sgares. Stan has proved to be the best NA igl as if atm, its impressive that he led optic into the top so why not use him?
      Imo : igl stan, entry rush, elige 2nd man in (1st star), autimatic 3rd guy in (2nd star), twistzz (support)
      This team would be really interesting.

    • @eduardobreda1279
      @eduardobreda1279 7 років тому

      +Luis Garcia
      Thats my point. There were no rules.
      And please, don't come with "unspoken rules" and what not, these are not admissible. If you have a RULE, you need to have an EXPLICIT PUNISHMENT for breaking that rule.
      Thats why its unfair. Set an example? Yeah, maybe. But times change.

    • @LuisGarcia-dd6ec
      @LuisGarcia-dd6ec 7 років тому

      There were rules against throwing back then to, The only thing that was never specified was how long the ban would be.

    • @eduardobreda1279
      @eduardobreda1279 7 років тому

      First of all, can you link me to some source of any kind about the rule? Can't find it nowhere.
      Second, as I said, its irrelevant having a rule without an explicit punishment to it. Too subjective. Thats why laws are very clear about what's the penalty you can get, otherwise it wouln't be valid.

    It is kind of interesting about this whole VP stay together theme. The thing about eSports that is not touched is that eSport is such a young sport trying to find itself, that it has become alright for teams to almost casually change players just because something is not working out. In big sports football, handball (two sports that I know of at least), changes are made as well. But with only 5 players (and sometimes a coach) in eSports, changes are that much bigger and this seems like something that is not being realized.

    Hikos biggest issue is his home setup, he is playing on a 27 inch monitor when all tournament monitors, usually the ASUS VG248QE and BenQ XL2420Z (24 inches) that 3 inches make a huge difference on how muscle memory works with pixel to pixel transitions in the game. If hiko went back to tournament size monitors, stayed on a solid mouse. You would see his consistency increase like it was prior to him switching his home setup so much different than tourney pcs.

    the desire for money is the reason why the iBP guys got banned in the first place, however i think that it would put the NA scene in a much better spot if they get unbanned. Lets hope they do get unbanned some day.

    I feel like DaZed, Steel and Swag need to be unbanned. DaZed was one of the best IGL ever and has crazy knowledge about the game and even though he can't play at majors, he still studies the game and keeps up with everything. Feel kinda bad for them at this point, they've served a good amount of time for what they did.

  • @BCU_Media

    I'm a huge shroud fan but a shit ton of freak's comments seemed like low key shots at shroud. Which he definitely deserves

    • @4est82
      @4est82 7 років тому +2

      Noah33 definitely. Shroud needs to make a decision NOW. Either he leaves the pro scene to be a full time streamer, or he really tries and succeeds with c9. They have a lot of potential with the autim/stew dynamic. Ska is still fairly solid, and n0thing usually does decent.

    • @BCU_Media

    Imagine if IBP wasn't banned, wins a bunch of tournaments. More than Europe had won after they got banned. Would it change the mentality for NA teams? Where they would think "Oh, if they (IBP) can win them all, why can't we?"

    gotta love NA cs. don't know what happened between 1.6 and csgo but somewhere the idea that it was a team game was lost and it became about the individual. This leading to if someone performs badly and the team loses, it is their fault and kick to get someone better. Although I also think na players have huge egos and will only play with people they like instead of making the best team possible with people they had an argument with once 4 years ago. i think my calo team had better team skills 9 years ago than some pro na teams

    More players should start to look at CSGO and other games from pure "sports" perspective. Work hard, do your job. I feel like many people can't understand it.
