- There was once a time when FURIA’s Counter-Strike team was the best of the best when it came to Brazilian CS. But since the transition to CS2 it has been a bit of a hot mess. The benching of IGL arT led to a tell all live stream spilling tea on the general operations and management without the team and FURIA co-owner Akkari has been adding his own voice to discussions around the team and what is going on, doing an interview on Gaules stream and suggesting the idea of an international coach. From the online antics to the roster moves: Spending a small fortune on FalleN, bringing over chelo and adding kye from the academy team… a lot of these moves have big question marks around them. The biggest question mark of all - how has FURIA held onto superstar KSCERATO as their form continues to falter.
@Mauisnake joins myself, Sam, and @Thooorin to explore the internal issues of the team, the management decisions and to debate whether or not FURIA, as the CS2 team currently stands, can be saved.

I feel like at this point the only reason people care about Furia is kscerato. There is so much wasted potential there people are just baffled. I think as soon as he leaves Furia is a dead org

literally no one in Brazil was saying what Maui says at 6:10-6:25. i've been listening to a lot of brazilians that talk about cs, including the famous ones, and people didn't even mention Thorin's and Maui's name when talking whether Kye was a good or not option for the 5th player position.
Brazilians are more into why Furia wasted other opportunities of their Academy League, like N1ssin, Decenty, Kauez...

@@Mauisnake Ever had a mate argue against an extremely fringe opinion as if they're saying anything remotely revolutionary? And when you point out that "Nobody says that", they bring up a few randos on Twitter saying it, and you're just like "okay yeah whatever...".
It's like strawmanning can't exist anymore because with the power of the internet you can always find anything being said by someone somewhere. Then you can claim to simply be arguing against them specifically, despite constantly using generalistic terms like "Brazilians". How many times have you heard a sentence starting with "Americans..." followed by something incredibly ignorant and/or disingenuous?
Also, when you bring up your replies, you've got to be aware of the massive sampling bias at play: the overwhelming majority of Brazilian CS fans only watch and follow Brazilian personalities, so the small sample of them that actually interact with you guys mostly consists of idiots who are just there to hate on you.
Of course it's totally okay for you guys to express whatever opinions you've got about Brazilian CS and whatnot, it's just that when you go on your "Brazilians will hate to hear this" rants, it's clear to a Portuguese guy like me that none of you have a finger on the pulse of the Brazilian community (not just basing it off this video since I've literally listened to both of you for hundreds of hours), so those parts just become painful to listen to.
Specially with Thorin whenever he portrays whatever Fallen does in such an insidious manner, when so much of it I've literally heard Fallen openly discuss on stream... it's almost comical at that point. Although tbf I think even you'd agree somewhat that Thorin's a lost cause when it comes to that since it's obviously personal to him.
Not a big deal at the end of the day, it's just that constantly bringing up the "but muh replies" excuse doesn't detract from the fact that the intellectual level of the conversation goes down the drain, seeing as you're actually mostly just replying to trolls. I suppose the podcast is literally called "Feed the Trolls" so maybe the joke's on me, huh.
Maui is kind of insane to compare arT's cs understanding to a mm player. This guy is verging on lolcow territory. He's not close to Thorin's level of analysis
I'm brazilian and not wanting to mock anytihing, but 'el tribo' made me laugh out loud, why is it so common for people to confuse portuguese with spanish ? Again, no offense intended!
