In a sense, Malicos was right about the Jedi Order falling long before the purge, the tradition and dogma limited them and their involvement in war ultimately led them to be consumed and blinded by the dark side
The Jedi are founded on a weird paradox. Their goals: To protect the people of the world and maintain peace. Their means: laser swords and complete deattachment from emotions How do they expect you to protect the world if you're not allowed to care about it? That's exactly what caused Anakin to fall and Vader to rise. He wanted to protect Padme, but the Jedi would not allow him to care for her. Meanwhile, the Sith look at certain emotions like fear, not as some weakness to be hidden away, but to be embraced and utilized as an asset and source of power. The flaw of the Jedi is that naive think they can ask mere mortal people to abandon emotion entirely. The flaw of the Sith is that they quite willingly let themselves be controlled by certain emotions such as hatred. They both need to realize that feelings, all feelings, are energies that cannot be stopped but can be directed and controlled as long as you don't let them direct and control you first.
They Jedi may have been flawed but they didn't bringabout their own destruction. When it became clear that the Sith where manipulating the war, they did everything they could to thwart him, to shake off the complacency that had allowed them to be caught off guard. But with Palpatine, plotting from every angle, and Anakin giving in to his selfishness at the worse mommy. They ran out of time.
@@oOPPHOo They didn't forbid emotion, they just taught themselves to ward against selfishness. To act with clear heads to bring about the best outcome in whatever context they find themselves in. It's the old saying "You can't serve two masters." being a Jedi means working for everyone's benefit not just yourself. Those who struggle with that are free to leave or return if they wish. Empathy and emotional growth are at the heart of their Order. Anakin fell because he held to tightly to his attachments, overriding whatever love he had for the people involved, and what they wanted, he was selfish. Time and again he acted to protect Padme, Obi, Ahsoka and even R2, for himself, risking others in the attempt. When he felt conflicted or was on the cusp of realizing his error's he either didn't listen to his peers well meaning counsel, Palpatine tore down whatever humility he might have learned by validating his actions. Leading to his decent.

1:47:07 I legit gasped when I saw her fall over the edge. Usually one would expect her to land hard on her gut, but nope, my expectations have been subdued.
I never played this game but I’m 50 minutes in and the story seems awesome. I just can’t fathom why the new trilogy was what it was. It’s literally mind boggling that when there are minds making stuff like this that their new trilogy would be such a mess. KOTOR, Jedi Knight, Force Unleashed and Fallen Order. All games with great stories that could have provided inspiration for the new films. You just get the sense that the new trilogy was made by people who didn’t care enough to acknowledge or take inspiration from any of the expanded universe
Combo of bad executive planning (or lack there of) and banking on nostalgia to sell something new. The one film out of the three that actually tried to be different and take the series in a new direction rather than using nostalgia as a crutch was an absolute mess. (To be clear I liked the Rey, Kylo and Luke stuff in TLJ, it’s the rest of it that I didn’t like)
@@depressedbreakfast2614 yeah I actually didn’t have a problem with Kylo Ren as a character, I felt he was different enough to be interesting. Rey I felt lacked some character depth because she doesn’t really put a foot wrong over the course of the trilogy. I was hoping they might’ve had her fall to the dark side at the end of the second film to then be redeemed in the third (might of actually given Finn something to do) but as you said they seemed to bank on nostalgia what with her following pretty much the exact same path as Luke (only with less obstacles climb). ALAS, at least with have the old films to enjoy!
Thoroughly entertained, if that was made into a full feature film un CGI my thought it beat the last outting from the Lucus camp , it was well edited, well wrote , charterers were solid, and more adult in it's construct.

This is a tragic story of a kid becoming an adult before his time. And it started with the Jedi and continued under the Jedi Inquisition. He had to become an adult and make not just adult decisions but impossible decisions that no kid should ever make. It reminds me of my own story...
Yes, she is talking about the separatist attack on Dathomir in the clone war tv show. The armored warrior with the lightsaber she was talking is General Grevious
The malcos guy lied to her. She was only a child so when he was influenced by the dark side he lied to her and used the Jedi order as a target for her anger and a pseudo bargaining chip. At least that’s what I got from it.
I like to think that The Force influences things that are beyond the biological level. The Force is described as a field around living things, but I think it can have power over things that don't live too, like that cable for instance. I don't think it was a simple failure of the cable that caused it to snap and forcing Cal to save his friend by using The Force, but The Force itself caused the snap and sent Cal back onto the path of a Jedi
Really loved this story and the game. Kind of annoying that they just destroy the holocron at the end when the main goal of the whole game was to get it but its understandable.
It is something that’s left over by the format of the video showing only cutscenes. In game when Kestis finally opens the vault he gets a vision of the future of what would’ve happened if he used the holocron and reunited the force sensitive children, basically, it ends up HORRIBLY, all the children and himself are captured and turned into inquisitors. So Cal’s decision at the end is not to expose those children to that cruel fate and rather let the force decide their futures

Merin : An armored warrior brandishing this (lightsaber) descended upon us, and cut down my people.

Cal: "Thanks for the help. Who are you people?"

It's impressive how solidly the cutscenes fit together.
The question is, whose Jedi Starfighter was it when Cal and Prauf found it.
it looked like Obi-Wan's from RoTS
Yodas maybe
It looks very similar to Obi-Wan’s in Revenge of the Sith, but I don’t think it’s the same one.
Cal's...maybe
RoseMary Mermaid bruh, no
I have lots to say about the game, the story, and the characters. But can I mention I love the banter between Trilla and Cal and the connection that develops, even if it’s at the point of a lightsaber.
Love how at 1:41:56 cal laughs and looks at cere like ‘my girl got jokes 😁’
i can’t get over how fast cal says ‘no not you’ to bd-1 when he says he’s looking for someone 🥺🥺

Really good, there's so much content in Star Wars. Screw Kathleen Kennedy for saying there isn't much source material.
These cutscenes put together as a movie are better than the entire sequel trilogy
Thank you. You have no idea how many times I've clicked on videos that say "cutscene movie" and then they have gameplay in there. I want ONLY cutscenes when I type in "cutscenes". So thank you.
When Vader showed up and his tune played anyone else go alittle cold

@Subject X so… from her point of view the Jedi are evil?
Cal later on shows just why he is a Jedi knight that his Master Jaro through the force is proud to see how much his former padawan developed and passed his trials.
So this is where Ian Gallagher went after he ran from the cops in Shameless

Merrin is so adorable
The second anyone hears that breathing, they know they're doomed
Better movie than the Rise of Skywalker.
Hearing Grog Strongjaw say "May the Force be with you", juuust hit me right in the feels. 😢😢😢

Bidet!
Totally missed that.... But now it's so obvious
Thoroughly entertained, if that was made into a full feature film un CGI my thought it beat the last outting from the Lucus camp , it was well edited, well wrote , charterers were solid, and more adult in it's construct.
And Cal is a thousand times a better character than Ezra "KILL ME NOW" Bridger.
1:25:56 We're just gonna ignore Taron standing back there
This is a really good story. I would love to see this done as a film.
It is a dilm
@@quinten2529 I wasn’t aware cutscenes qualified as a film. Or a dilm.

I would love to see something like this tied together with no-hit optimized runs of each gameplay section, so it really plays like a movie.
That would be amazing.
I sense a dark path for cal for being blessed with a sith saber as a knight.
This is a tragic story of a kid becoming an adult before his time. And it started with the Jedi and continued under the Jedi Inquisition. He had to become an adult and make not just adult decisions but impossible decisions that no kid should ever make. It reminds me of my own story...
I just finisehd it after about 30ish hours. Holy shit. Best Star Wars game ever!~ Can't wait for a sequel.
28:14 it’s no longer the Chad Stride, it’s the Cal Stride.
The dark side only works if you’re on top, Trilla’s end confirmed this.
not entirely true, this other guy had the high ground on vader once 😏
0:44 that beat though
A better film than any of the “sequel” films!
“Reading a new ship on scanners…Badly damaged, we’re at 70% integrity and falling.” 34:07 Honestly, Matthew Mercer is in everything 🤣
That was really bloody amazing! What an engaging story told through meaningful cutscenes. One of the best I've ever seen.

not just the men, but the women and children too
About the dathomir thing....
Weren’t the separatists who attacked? Greivous with his lightsabers after the mother tried killing dooku
She described grevious cause she said ammored warrior and it killed her sisters
I personally thought it might have been Vader. But now that I read this I realize it was more likely to be grievous
Yep. He uses Jedi lightsabers so to the mind of a child it could be seen that way.
I love how Greez puts so many salt on his plate tht BD-1 scans the dish to calculate the quantity.
Well, it is a total possibility and it’s also beyond the conceptual level as well.
The Words: "Tell me the name of the Jedi who sacrficed his life so you might life" is stunning
This is the best episode of Gotham I have ever seen
Goddamn @ 1:46:44 you realize just how scary and terrifying it is to be in Vader’s presence. As soon as he jumps Cal and Cere immediately back away, ignite their lightsabers and go into a defensive stance despite Vader being too far away to engage them. Vader is the goat 🐐💯🔥
I love Vader, and I was just in awe when I saw him appear in my playthrough
