There have been so many interesting ingredients in your videos that when I first thought you said “lemon bologna” my reaction was just, “huh, never heard of that, I wonder how it tastes.”
As someone who went to Lebanon Valley College in Annvile, PA (Lebanon County), I can honestly say I appreciate the way you pronounce the PA version of "Lebanon". Made it feel that much more authentic. 😎
This brought great joy to my Pennsylvanian heart. If you ever want to Plus Up a Lebanon Bologna sandwich, I recommend pairing it with rare roast beef and using Wegmans Garlic Tuscan bread/rolls. For the full experience, get a bag of Snyder's of Berlin bbq chips and a birch beer!
I'm from PA and I used to always call it "lemon bologna" because I thought that's what everyone was saying for the longest time. The sweet bologna is my favorite, but I haven't seen the chipotle or double smoked one before. I'd definitely like to look into those. But it was cool to see something from home!
These sound absolutely fantastic! Now I'm going to have to holiday just to try one of these sandwiches! Unsurprisingly Seltzer's isn't imported into Australia
Living in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia to be exact we can get Lebanon baloney sliced here at the deli. Some here seem to confuse this with regular baloney, Google it. You'll be surprised to learn they're 2 different things. There was also an episode of Dirty Jobs that takes you through the process of making it. 😊 It's also made in Lebanon Pennsylvania hence the name.
I love Lebanon baloney and ofcourse Lebanon, PA...I used to go to the Lebanon baloney fest! I only ate Lebanon baloney as a kid, and cold on white bread with mustard for lunch, I’ll definitely have to branch out and try it grilled mmm ❤
So many things you can get - or could get - only in Philly, Philly outskirts, South Jersey… lebanon bologna, Taylor pork roll, scrapple, creamed chipped beef on toast, sticky buns, an authentic Philly steak sandwich or hoagie, only decent crab cakes north of Maryland, hot dog with a fish cake, tastycake, Basset’s ice cream, Italian roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone…

Sweet, dark meat, that tastes like it slept next to a campfire, that is Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Thanks! And yeah, that happens a lot from what I hear. Something is built up but along the way you have versions that have improved on the original such that when try the original you're like "meh?"
I thought for sure you were going to start frying some scrapple from the title. Smoked cheddar on double smoke could be magic. Smoked Gouda as well. Also a pepper cheese with sweet chipotle. Like the old double mint twin commercials.

Lebanon Bologna is one of the really hidden gems in Pennsylvania. One of one absolute favorite tastes of home

Lebanon bologna was a staple of my childhood in Maryland near the Mason Dixon line.
I feel like caramelizing those onions first could've maybe taken it up just a bit, but I also don't feel like it's necessary. Those looked delicious
I'm from Pennsylvania and love Seltzers! Im gonna try your sandwich out!
I lived in Lebanon for a number of years and ate this lunch meat often

It appears this video alone has caused double smoked sweet bologna from Seltzer's to be completely out of stock!
Try it with Taylor Pork Roll
I don't think I've ever head Lebanon pronounced that way and I used to have Lebanese landlords. The sandwiches look and sound delicious.
It's a Pennsylvania thing, apparently
it's got nothing to do with arabic. I'm an arab and a Pennsylvanian. named after lebanon pa where it was first made around 1780
The hmmms mmmms and mmms say it all

Why did you not give any of these sandwiches a gooooo????? 🥺
