I live Corn Casserole. The Broccoli Casserole sounds delicious. I have never made Swim Biscuits, but have seen recipes for them. They sound delicious. Thanx. Merry Christmas!!!!
Besides liking your recipes, I really like that you use the right size mixing bowl. On so many sites they don’t and then try to mix. Use a big bowl people. It is any harder to wash.
Just wanted to put this out there if anybody is concerned, that lots of the great value food items contain bio engineered food ingredients, if they do, it’s written on the back of the packages. I check every great value item now, because if it says it contains bio engineered food ingredients, I don’t buy it.
@VH Ya got me with ‘Easy’ today…enjoyed this video because I’ve never even heard of these recipes…all new to me and I’m definitely making the biscuits tonight because I already have soup going in the crockpot and should be perfect together. It feels great when we already have all the ingredients!
I'm watching this video the day after Christmas, but I wish I had watched it before. I tried a new recipe for broccoli casserole for my Christmas dinner. It had many more ingredients and I believe a misprint in the recipe because it had you add 1 qt of liquid. Anyway, it turned out wetter than I thought it should and only so-so tasting. I wish I'd had your recipe to try. It looks simple and delicious!
Valerie, all of the side dish recipes look so delicious!!! I make a broccoli casserole too, it’s slightly different, but I will try your recipe because I am 100 % sure that my family & I would love it with the onion dip, onion soup mix & the French fried onions!! Yum, yum, yum, heaven in a dish! Thanks for sharing these!!!
i think my favorite side is always the mashed pot w/gravy , but those swim biscuits always look like urs did when i made em , but they are always so good , light and airy !! now the broccoli casserole , ummmm , think i would have to change it to cauliflower as i just cant do broccoli, my husband loved broccoli , but its just not my veggie , so when i make it , it will be with cauliflower, so ty Valerie for sharing these amazing sides , and ur time and recipes with us all!!! One of my favorite Christmas sides is creamed spinach. My dad’s mother made it so well. My maternal grandmother made a killer chicken paprikas. Yum!

My side dishes are mongolian chicken fajita, bbq beef, smoked-tea ommlette soup, French onion beef soup, chicken paella pizza, butcher lamb curry & beef cashew casserole
I have tried butter swim biscuits before but they didn’t turn out. I think I will give these a try 😊
