Also, the fans are still employed by sega to create a game that is still to be considered as cannon, so while it is made by fans, it is not just a fan game. It's a cannon game with styles and music that fans love to see in sonic games that used to be.
So many adventure 2 vibes from this song. While I don't particularly like Knuckles' stages in SA2, his music was admittedly the highlight, and to hear that kind of music with Classic Knuckles gameplay is very satisfying. In combination, this stage is absolutely a breath of fresh air. Love it.
